Get Well: Cynthia Bailey’s Mystery Illness Revealed… (Spoiler Alert!)

If you’ve been wondering what has been ailing Cynthia Bailey … The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star is no longer keeping her health problems a secret. According to National Enquirer reports : Rumors started swirling last month that gorgeous model Cynthia Bailey, 46 – who married restaurateur Peter Thomas in 2010 – might be pregnant, because she appeared to be sporting a paunch at BFF NeNe Leakes’ wedding. The whispers prompted Cynthia to reveal publicly that she had an undisclosed medical condition,” said an insider. The ENQUIRER has learned Cynthia has uterine fibroid tumors that have grown so large they need to be surgically removed ASAP. According to WEBMD, fibroid tumors are composed of renegade muscle cells that band together to form a fibrous mass within the uterus. Like Cynthia’s, they are rarely malignant, but commonly occur between the ages of 30-40, with African-American women at greatest risk. “Cynthia agreed to share her health crisis on the show because she wants other women see what she goes through and be reminded that they need to get regular checkups,” a family friend revealed. “She didn’t go to the doctor because she was working too much. But when her stomach started to grow, and she knew she wasn’t pregnant, she went to the doctor in a panic, wondering if she had cancer.” Although the diagnosis came as a relief, Cynthia, who has a 12-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, is still concerned about surgery. “She’s allowing Bravo cameras to be there,” added the friend. “And Peter will be right by her side.” Ladies, make sure you’re making that annual visit to the OB-GYN. Welp… At least now she won’t be homeless anymore, riiiiiight? Kenya Moore just got a big raise to return to “Real Housewives of Atlanta”. Via US Weekly reports : Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore will be returning for the hit reality show’s sixth season, a source tells Us Weekly, and the outspoken former beauty queen could not be more thrilled. “Kenya is very happy to be back!” the source tells Us. According to the insider, Moore, 42, will also get a substantial raise for her contributions to the Bravo show’s success — a whopping $600,000 for the season, with additional bonuses based on ratings. “NeNe [Leakes], Kim [Zolciak] and Kandi [Burruss] make $800,000 a season but they can make more for doing certain special things, like Kim taking off her wig,” another source previously told Us. “Phaedra and Porsha make $50,000 per season.” Moore joined the cast last fall for season five, and quickly got off on the wrong foot with castmates Leakes and Cynthia Bailey. “She was a Miss America? How many years ago was that?” Leakes sniped about Moore — who won the pageant in 1993 — during a conversation with Bailey and Phaedra Parks. “This is 2012.” Moore has garnered a solid following of fans, however, some of them A-list celebrities. In February, Beyonce revealed that she, too, is a fan of the show when she told an interviewer that she thought her performance with former Destiny’s Child group members Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland was “Gone With the Wind fabulous!” Funnily enough, during an episode in season five, Moore informed her castmates that she is, in fact, often mistaken for Jay-Z’s wife. “Every day, somebody thinks I’m Beyonce,” she claimed, adding that hundreds of people asked for her autograph at the 2009 Inauguration. Well she definitely stirred up enough isht to earn that raise — but how crazy is it that Phaedra and Porsha are being so badly outbanked??? Lil Mo Tells Artists Not To Boycott Florida For Trayvon Martin Via CoCoa Fab reports: Lil’ Mo won’t be boycotting Florida for Trayvon Martin, as many of her fellow entertainers have done since the shocking verdict came down. The R&B Divas: L.A. star took to Twitter to explain her reasoning. “Ever since the verdict, a certain artist is boycotting the state of Florida. The fans don’t deserve to be deserted,” she posted. Artists like Stevie Wonder and Mary Mary have officially refused to play any gigs in states with “Stand Your Ground” laws in place.Lil’ Mo wants them and everyone else to reconsider the protest. She even took a jab at Stevie’s blindness to prove her point. “If the coin was right, would HIS staff accept or deny the gig? And if so how would he know? They could say it’s sumpter, sc or nah?” she wrote. “TBH some artists have staff that dedicate their LIFE to that artist so when that artists expires the TEAM outta work. Think abt it b4 u buck,” she tweeted. While she isn’t a fan of the protest, she does have other ideas for taking a stand. “I’m merely stating don’t boycott. “Do a benefit concert give the proceeds to the family,” she said. “My family normally vacations in FLORIDA july 22-aug 2, BUT, As of today we have reneged and will go to Another state instead.” So just to be clear, Mo is fine with boycotting vacations in Florida, just not performances that pay perfectly good money.
