Danny Roberts, The Real World Alum, Reveals HIV Diagnosis

Danny Roberts, a former cast member on the The Real World: New Orleans, has revealed something very sad and very personal iin a new interview with Entertainment Weekly. He is HIV positive. “The reason I want to share this story is that I spent so long battling and beating myself up for my own misconceptions and bigotry,” the 41-year-old said this week, adding: “It is difficult to admit the negative feelings you had about a set of people and state of being based on made-up stories.” Roberts appeared on the aforementioned MTV reality series in 2000. At that time, he was dating a military officer named Paul Dill, whose face was obscured by the network so he wouldn’t be discharged under the controversial “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy. It was unusual for a prominent television show to depict such a relationship during that area. Back then, Roberts famously spoke out against the since-repealed policy, which forced LGBT servicepeople to hide or lie about their sexual orientation. Roberts shunned the spotlight for a number of years after making a name for himself on The Real World. However, he recently moved to New York City, where he works as a digital design recruiter and is a dad to an adopted 2 1/2-year-old daughter.  He discovered his disease in 2011 after passing out and then waking up in a pool of blood. Worried, he called his physician and explained what had transpired. The doctor replied with the diagnosis (from a previous week’s check-up that he had been waiting to reveal to Roberts until they met again in person) that would change his life forever. “My first reaction was shock. Then I was angry, then lots of denial,” Roberts tells EW , elaborating: “Those early years were very difficult and very lonely. You don’t know whom to turn to have conversation and people don’t know what to say. It’s not something that people have experience with. “There’s also the potential likelihood of massive judgments about what behaviors led to this and what kind of people this happens to.” At this point, there is good news, though: Roberts says that he has been “undetectable” since being diagnosed, which means that he has a low level of the virus in his blood. This also means it cannot be sexually transmitted to another person. Danny adds that he’s remained close with Real World co-star Kelley Limp, who is pictured with Roberts and company below. “She’s my life sister,” he told EW. “She was one of the first people I turned to and talked to. She has been strong and helped me through this.” In conclusion, meanwhile, Roberts does not want you feeling sorry for him. He wants to emphasize that he isn’t dying due to HIV; he is living with the illness. “The last thing I ever want is pity. I just want people to know and be aware. I knew so little myself so I get it,” he says. We wish Danny Roberts the best.

The Voice Recap: Which Two Singers Got Sent Home?

The Voice continued the process of whittling down the contestants as we are fast approaching the season finale.  With Monday’s performance show giving fans much of the same as the 13 hopefuls continued to sing as best they could, it was time for two to be sent home during Tuesday’s results show.  As is the norm with these overstuffed episodes, there were performances that were dull and thrown in there just to pad out the episode.  But who got sent to safety? Sent to Safety Reagan Strange (Team Adam) Kirk Jay (Team Blake) Kennedy Holmes (Team Jennifer) Chevel Shepherd (Team Kelly) Chris Kroeze (Team Blake) DeAndre Nico (Team Adam) Kymberli Joye (Team Kelly) MaKenzie Thomas (Team Jennifer) Dave Fenley (Team Blake) Sarah Grace (Team Kelly) That left Lynnea Moorer, SandyRedd, and Tyke James to duke it out for that final spot in the live shows.  SandyRedd (Team Jennifer) – “Believer” With some of the best vocals this season, Sandy Redd’s performance was mediocre at best. Viewers know she can sing, but it sounded like there were technical issues with this one.  It was like the show was purposefully making her sound worse, and that’s a big no-no.  Tyke James (Team Adam) – “Home” Tyke was saved by his coach last week, but after some more terrible performances, he’s back in the bottom two. It’s hardly surprising.  He’s not a great singer, and he continued to drive that home during this dud of number. Did he do enough to make it through?  Not a chance in hell.  Lynnea Moorer (Team Kelly) – “If I Ain’t Got You” Lynnea returned to the bottom on Tuesday. Initially, she never got a chair to turn at the Blinds, so she went on to move to the Comeback Stage.  Her vocals improved for sure, but SandyRedd was still the best performer out of these three save me ones.  In the end, Lynnea got yet another reprieve while SandyRedd and Tyke James were sent home.  Okay then.  The Voice continues Mondays on NBC.  View Slideshow: The Voice Winners: RANKED!

Teen Mom OG Recap: Roll With the Punches

Teen Mom OG  serves as a great reminder that baby daddy drama can be forever. Both Bristol and Cheyenne grappled with very different types of baby daddy drama. And Amber, who gave the episode its title, was taking up boxing as therapy to ward off  yet another Instagram meltdown . Bristol was grappling with baby daddy Levi Johnson’s refusal to sign off on Tripp’s  Dancing With The Stars: Junior  contract. “Levi refused to sign this contract,” Bristol claimed. “Saying that he has zero interest in the money that Tripp makes.” Bristol accused: “He’s had this document for two months now.” “All these triggers with my baby daddies…they all come from money,” Bristol lamented. She then confessed: “I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong to have all these terrible relationships.” Sometimes, terrible people date terrible people. Water always finds its level. So why was Bristol’s first baby daddy balking? Levi himself, who was kind of entertaining for a while in 2008 but never deserved to be played by Justin Gaston on HBO’s  Game Change , explains. “Don’t play that on me…you sent me a piece of paper with no contract to look at, so I didn’t know what I’m signing,” Levi countered. Levi said: “That’s not how it works.” Bristol, however, thinks that Levi is missing the urgency of the situation. “Tripp’s not being paid until that contract is signed,” Bristol grumbled. In the end, Levi did sign it, and surprised her with cash for half of the plane ticked back to Alaska. Then there was Catelynn and Tyler, who were having some communication issues as they discussed going to couples counseling. “He’s bad at saying what he needs to say in the right way,” Catelynn noted. “He just comes across really sharp,” she explained.  “I’m a feeler, so I feel that intense like, holy s–t, someone’s pissed off,” she continued. Catelynn was quick to clarify: “It’s nothing huge or detrimental to our relationship.” Being hypersensitive to the moods of others, especially to tone of voice, is an extremely common symptom of PTSD. One of the issues that they were having was how Nova had refused to leave Catelynn’s side for so long. They were concerned about her separation anxiety when Catelynn left to do a show about adoption. Ultimately, their biggest worry as a couple was about continuing to process old wounds. Having given up their child for adoption when they were just 16 and then remaining together as a couple has really left some emotional scars. They did resolve that they can get through anything, including bringing up these sensitive topics in therapy. Amber Portwood spent some time letting off some steam with some boxing. She has taken up the sport as therapy for her bipolar depression and her anger issues. After  Amber’s latest tirade  in which she threatened violence and used slurs, it’s a relief to see that she has an outlet. “I got a four month old baby!” Amber shouted after  So this would have been filmed in, what, early-ish September? Amber had confessed to partner Andrew Glennon that she was not an athletic child. She then went on to hold her own while boxing. Afterward, she was very emotional as she spoke to Andrew. “Meeting you, and the people that you surround yourself with, uplifts me to know that I can do more in life,” she confessed through tears. That is very sweet. Though her recent social media tirade shows that she still has a lot of ground to cover. Cheyenne Floyd was having baby daddy drama, just like Bristol. Unlike Bristol, her drama also involved her current beau. These problems with boyfriend Zach came up when baby daddy Cory Wharton wanted her to bring their daughter Ryder to visit him. “I feel like Cory is more of a priority than me,” Zach accused. “I just feel like the way you treat him versus you treat me,” Zach said. “It’s not the same. There’s no comparison.” In Zach’s eyes: “It’s almost like you’re more so in a relationship with him.” “If I had a baby’s mother and she asked me to go out there and spend time, you would not be OK with that,” he suggested. If you’ve ever whispered  break up with him  at a television screen, you know how rare it is for people to listen. Cheyenne, however, did just that. She did not have time to poultice his bruised ego. She’s a mom. “Right now, that’s my focus,” Cheyenne explained. “Ensuring that I have a good coparenting relationship with Cory.” She explained that it’s important “that Ryder has a good relationship with her dad and his family.” “So,” she concluded. “If my relationships, if my friendships … if my personal relationships suffer because of it, I will take that right now.” Cheyenne and Zach are broken up, at least for now. Dancing with the Stars Recap: Who Won Season 27?

Did Dancing with the Stars deliver another shocking twist to close out Season 27?  In a season that has been filled with controversy, with fans ruling it a popularity contest as opposed to a dancing competition, there have already been some headscratchers.  From the surprise elimination of Tinashe early into the season to last week’s stunning elimination of Juan Pablo Di Pace on the same night he landed two perfect scores, we think it’s fair to say fans are less than impressed with the series.  Hey, that’s not to say we still think Milo Manheim, Alexis Ren, Bobby Bones, and Evanna Lynch could even be ruled as celebrities.  To the casual viewer, this season probably feels like a civilian edition, and we can’t blame them. But how did those final routines pan out and did they even matter when it came to the final vote?  Let’s break them down one last time! Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten — Argentine Tango 27/30; Freestyle: 30/30 It was clear from the first week of the competition that there was a lot going for both Alexis and Alan. They had the chemistry sorted and later embarked on a relationship.  Their Argentine Tango was not without flaws, and it was a misstep for this otherwise solid pair. Thankfully, they pulled it back with a rock-solid freestyle that showed why viewers are voting for them: They’re both flexible as hell! Bobby Bones and  Sharna Burgess —  Cha-Cha: 24/30; Freestyle: 30/30 Bobby has come across as a mere novelty act. The radio personality has charisma for days, but he’s been lacking as far as dancing ability goes.  It’s surprising he lasted this long in the competition. His Cha-Cha with Sharna was much of the same, but the Freestyle definitely kicked things up a few gears.  Where has that  level of dancing been all season long? It did seem like it was too little, too late, but we still had the results to go.  Milo Manheim and Witney Carson — Charleston: 30/30; F reestyle : 30/30 Next to Juan Pablo, Milo seemed like the next best thing. He and Witney have been pulling in high scores all season long, and the pair secured another two perfect scores.  They perform well together and are confident. Whoever put them together at the start of the season knew they would make for a powerful duo.  Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe — Halloween Night tango: 30/30; Freestyle: 30/30 Evanna started the season off in the middle of the pack, but she quickly adapted, and got her confidence back as the season progressed.  Pulling off two perfect scores in one night is difficult, but it shows just how far she’s come since that first week.  After all of those performances, there was still room for Grocery Store Joe to show up with some of his Bachelorette alumni to prove why he should have been kicked out in the first week.  Seriously though, who the heck was voting for that dude? In the end, Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess secured the Mirrorball Trophy, and yes, it’s got to be one of the biggest twists to rock the series.  It’s high time the dancing had a higher weighting on the results because the viewer vote is starting to ruin the show.  Will there be changes implemented? Time till tell.  In the meantime, congratulations Bobby and Sharna! What are your thoughts on the finale? Hit the comments below! View Slideshow: Dancing with the Stars: The Odds are Out! Khloe Claims Tristan Did NOT Leave His Knocked-Up Ex Mid-Pregnancy To Go Keep Up With The Kardashians

Source: Jerritt Clark / Getty Khloe Kardashian Denies Busting Up Tristan’s Last Relationship Khloe has no doubt peeped the MILLIONS of online comments about Tristan’s third-trimester tryst saying something to the tune of “well what did you expect when he left his last pregnant girlfriend to be with you?” But apparently, she had time on Monday after the episode dealing with her cheating scandal with Tristan aired . According to People , after a fan commented on a now-deleted clip from the show that Khloe was only putting up with Triflin’ Tristan’s hoe-y shenanigans because she’s “afraid to be alone,” Khloe let it be known that she ain’t never scared of the single life. And as far as her stepping in during the second trimester of Tristan’s last relationship…she says we don’t have the real story anyway. “PS he never left ANYONE for me. I have said this before but as I have learned the truth isn’t as exciting as a lie. So the lie is what gets traction. The truth seems to get buried and ignored. Either way, it’s all love and peace over here.” Welp, this “truth” never got exposed on the show the way the rest of Tristan’s dalliances did…so it seems fans are only going on timeline speculation. Add that to the fact that it is STRONGLY rumored that Khloe met Tristan at Kevin Hart’s wedding while the ballplayer was on a date with his then-pregnant GF Jordan (who is Eniko’s cousin, btw). What do you think? Is Khloe just rewriting history for her own convenience again, or is this the truth of the matter? 90 Day Fiance Recap: Flirting With Disaster

As we promised with last week's 90 Day Fiance sneak peeks , there were some huge fights among a few of the couples. If you need a reminder of exactly what went down, we have the scoop. More than one fiancee was reconsidering the idea of getting married at all. … First up, there's Kalani and Asuelu. As we showed you in last week's sneak peek, Asuelu tried to comfort baby Oliver by removing him from his car seat. Car seats are vital for a baby's safety in any vehicle, and Kalani was understandably upset that Asuelu didn't know this. On Sunday's new episode, we saw that their spat was followed by an awkwad silence. They had been driving to their new home in Utah, but ended up stopping at a motel for the night. Kalani confesses that seeing Asuelu do something stupid and dangerous with the baby, even with good intentions, worried her. She reveals that she is having second thoughts about the marriage. Her child, correctly, comes first. In last week's sneak peek, we also showed you that Fernanda and Jonathan had a huge fight. Fernanda emerged from the club bathroom to find Jonathan dancing with another woman. She freaked out and ended up storming out to the parking lot, her mind swimming with second thoughts. Remember, she uprooted her entire life to be with a man 13 years her senior. Jonathan, who was clearly intoxicated, was unable to calm her, and he told her that he worried that she could get her visa revoked if she gets into trouble for blowing up like that. Fernanda — who is 19 years old and understandably emotional — says that if he would put her in that situation, she'd rather go back home anyway. Ouch. Olga and Steven had their baby … and started fighting before they even left the hospital room. We have to be honest — scenes with these two can make you on edge. They seem so hostile with each other. Steven is overly impatient with Olga, which is incredibly rude, and he demands that she hurry up as they prepare to go home. (Seriously, who talks like this to another human being, let alone the mother of his child?) Olga questions Steven about how recently he washed his hands before he holds the baby, which makes him even angrier. Steven explains to the camera that he comes from an angry family and he doesn't want to be spoken to like Olga was speaking to him. We hope that, in watching the episode, he realized that Olga wasn't the bad guy in that hospital room. Yikes. In real life, Larissa was arrested for domestic battery last week. On the show, she's barely arrived in Vegas. But it's clearly been long enough for Colt to propose, and that he did … at the top of the Stratosphere, one of the city's tallest buildings. “I’m deadly afraid from high places,” Larissa said to the camera. “I don’t know why Colt had the brilliant idea to bring me to the most highest place in Vegas.” She warns that she may end oup vomiting. When he actually drops to one knee and proposes, however, Larissa is thrilled. “I think that was amazing. I did not expect that Colt would do something like that,” Larissa gushed. “I feel really happy that Colt give to me a beautiful surprise,” she says. Jay had a couple of rude awakenings, though Ashley did not cause them. See, Ashley lives in a community that is a whopping 80% white. Jay has been noticing the stares. “Why do white people always think a black person is bad?” Jay asked Ashley. “It makes no sense.” He's right. And obviously 90 Day Fiance did not have time for anyone to explain the centuries of propaganda, from minstrel shows to jarring news reports, that keep people ignorant and hateful. Jay stopped by a barbershop to get his hair cut, hoping to make some new friends. Upon learning that he was 20 years old and preparing to get married, they (understandably) warned him that he's too young to tie the knot. “I love Ashley and there isn’t a part of me at this moment that is thinking that I’m giving up a lot,” Jay confessed. He then admitted: “I could come to the U.S. and live with her, I wouldn’t be marrying her.” Remember how much Leida hates Eric's apartment ? Well, Leida's family feels the exact same way. Not only do they believe that she and Eric should upgrade, but her dad is willing to put his money where his mouth is. He offered to pay for the first few months of rent at a new, larger apartment, but Eric turned him down. As Leida explains, Eric wants to show her family that he's not just looking for a handout. Eric wants to provide for Leida and for Alessandro, but he wants to do it himself. That said, Leida has her doubts. “Eric failed me,” she admits. “And I don’t think that I’m ready to get married with Eric.”

Kim Kardashian: Tristan is NOT Sorry for Diddling His "Whores"

Sorry, Tristan Thompson. But Kim Kardashian is NOT buying what you are trying to sell. On this Sunday's episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, viewers will witness the fallout of Thompson cheating on Khloe Kardashian, as we catch up with the latter after she gives birth to her daughter. In THIS CLIP , we see Kim seeing Tristan for the first time since this scandal broke. And in THIS CLIP , we see Khloe reading all about what transpired on her phone, while lamenting all the well wishes being sent her way. Now, in the latest sneak peek from the upcoming installment, we see Kim and Kris Jenner speaking with another member of the family about what went down when the family truly confronted Tristan about his wandering penis. “He was very remorseful and feeling obviously sick over everything that happened,” Kris explained to cousin Cici Bussey. Kim doesn't really agree with this assessment, however. “But I told him, 'I think you're more remorseful because it's affecting your job,'” she says, adding: “I think he's more embarrassed that he looks stupid 'cause the public and booing him. And I think it's more of that than anything and I told him that.” In a confessional, Kim later says that the Kardashian didn't film the meeting (WHAT?!?!?!?) because they “really wanted it to be a private talk,” where they all “expressed exactly how we felt.” ( Editor's Note : Is this not admitting that everything that is filmed is basically scripted and NOT an example of the family expressing what they really feel?) As for how Thompson reacted to this confrontation? Says Kim: “He got mad because my mom was like, 'You can make your decision. If you want to live this life of dating these Instagram whores and doing your thing, live that life.' “If this doesn't work out with you guys, we're always going to rise up.'” All these months after this episode was shot, of course, we know that Khloe and Tristan are together and trying their best to put Thompson's horrible acts behind them. At one point in the video featured here, Kris hints at why Khloe has made this decision. She really does want to be part of a close-knit immediately family. “Khloe has been so invested, moved to Cleveland, nested in this house and made it a home,” says Jenner. “She said something really interesting, she said, 'I didn't have a baby just to have a baby and move on.' “She said 'I had a baby to create a beautiful family' and that's what broke my heart. She really never saw it coming either.”

90 Day Fiance: Two Sneak Peeks Show Two HUGE Fights

This week's  90 Day Fiance  news has been dominated by  Larissa's arrest  as we've learned more and more about what happened. But now we have not one but two new sneak peeks for this weekend's episode. Which two couples had huge fights? Take a look: First, let's start with Jonathan and Fernanda. After Fernanda exits the bathroom to find Jonathan seemingly dancing with another woman, she goes ballistic. She confronts them (that's a bit of an understatement) and storms out. Jonathan is clearly, visibly intoxicated but upset that she's upset. She demands the keys to the car. “Do you want to get married with me?” Fernanda asks. His behavior has, just as when  she found another woman's thong in his apartment , made her second-guess everything. Jonathan tries to address her doubts and insecurities. “Of course I do,” he insists, assuring her that he wants to marry her. We're not shaming anyone for drinking, and we don't doubt his sincerety, but he would have sounded more convincing if he'd been less under the influence. “Well show me!” Fernanda suggests. “Because I don’t feel that!” Fernanda is clearly feeling hurt and angry and cannot help but wonder, once again, if she uprooted her entire life for nothing. Jonathan is clearly distressed, but in his current state, isn't exactly helping his case. “She's not even my type,” he protests. He means to sound sweet, but it totally misses the point. And Fernanda wants to leave — but she's not ready to talk about it. Jonathan shares with the  90 Day Fiance  cameras that this is caused by Fernanda's immaturity. He admits that this sort of thing is exactly what they had warned him about. He, too, is beginning to second guess their plans to marry. Real talk: Fernanda is 19 years old. Jonathan is in his early 30s. Of course there is a maturity gap. They're both adults, but they're at different points in their lives. Did Fernanda overreact? Yes. That's not super surprising coming from a teenager. That said, the two of them met in a club in Maxico in the first place. Maybe Jonathan should be more sensitive of his fiancee's feelings and take a proactive approach to addressing her insecurities. That said, the nice thing about these two is that neither of them is the bad guy. Kalani and Asuelu's engagement is complicated by a baby and by Kalani's family. Their fight, however, comes from a place of misunderstanding about baby safety. Maybe it's a cultural difference, as Kalani suggests, or maybe Asuelu is just newer to being a parent. But their precious baby begins crying while Kalani is driving. (Also she's eating cheetos with her hands while she drives which makes me recoil; I use chopsticks for those) Asuelu responds by wanting to comfort the baby, who is clearly in distress, but he does it in the wrong way. Asuelu removes their baby from the car seat. Car seats for babies are not optional or suggestions. Babies are small and delicate. If you're going to have a baby hurtling along at 80 miles per hour, neither a seatbelt nor a parent's arms are sufficient protection. Kalani tells him this — actually, she yells this at him. All the time, their baby is crying. Kalani is eventually able to pull over, still very frustrated with Asuelu. Asuelu says that he didn't know about that, and feels hurt that Kalani was less than gentle about educating him on it. Once again, there's no real bad guy here — but it looks like Asuelu needs ot learn some more if he's serious about being a father.

Petty Peach: Eva Reaffirms That Her Hubby Is Her Daughter’s REAL Dad & Says THIS About Kevin McCall

Source: Prince Williams/Wire Image, WENN.com / Prince Williams/Wire Image, Getty Images, WENN.com Eva Marcille Says Michael Sterling Is Her Daughter’s Real Dad, Blasts Kevin McCall Eva Marcille is once again speaking on her ex whose erratic behavior has made headlines. The newest addition to RHOA was on Wendy Williams this week and spoke on a number of topics including her Bravo debut and her fellow housewives. Things got especially interesting however when Eva spoke on her “ Deuces” baby daddy Kevin McCall whose been an absent father in her daughter Marley Rae’s life. Eva once again affirmed that Marley’s real dad is her new husband Michael Sterling. “What’s amazing to me is that he thinks that biology is more important than being present,” said Eva. “Like, Marley knows her dad [Michael]. He picks her up from school. He gives her her life lessons. That’s her dad.” Not only that she also added that because of his “extremely dysfunctional behavior”, he’s not in a safe space for himself or others so he shouldn’t be around their baby girl. Back in January Eva told Essence that she has no relationship with Kevin and is keeping it that way. “We don’t have a relationship. He’s blocked on all my social media. I have full custody of my daughter and her dad is Michael Sterling, so he is a blast from the past and a memory. I do not let him affect my day-to-day in any shape, form or fashion, but I do pray him success, and moreso than anything, peace of mind. Marley is the priority, the biggest priority of my life, outside of my newest child and my fiancé. And at the end of the day, despite personal feelings, she deserves a level of stability, tranquility, and sanity. And [that’s] my job as a parent, no matter how hard it is for me to provide that for her, but that’s my job.” Source: David Livingston / Getty Eva makes a good point, Kevin isn’t very stable. Remember when he hinted that he was disowning little Marley? Do what’s best for your daughter, sis. See more of Eva on Wendy below.
