One Connecticut man even agreed to surrender to police only if he got a certain amount of likes on his wanted poster that was posted on Facebook. 29-year-old Jose Simms has seven arrest warrants and is being sought as a fugitive because he failed to show up for a court appearance. According to Torrington police, Simms is believed to be at large somewhere in the New York area. Lt. “Brett Johnson reported on social media that Simms had contacted him through Facebook and agreed to turn himself in if the social post containing his poster gets 15,000 ‘likes.’ Johnson says he tried to get Simms to agree to 10,000 “likes” but Simms wanted 20,000 — so they split the difference.” So far, the Facebook post has about 3000 likes. Looks like police will be waiting on Jose for a good while — unless they catch him slipping.

Tons of Game of Thrones fans were unhappy about how the hit HBO series ended last Sunday, but most can at least contend to there being some great MOMENTS throughout the episode. One of those moments being… Daenerys Targaryen’s tyrannical speech after conquering the now-six kingdoms. If you were watching, the Mother of Dragons probably sent chills through your body as she spoke in fictional languages to the Dothraki and Unsullied, insisting that her war was not over. Now, in an interview with Variety , actress Emilia Clarke reveals she studied Hitler and other dictators to get that terrifying speech just right. “In giving all these speeches in fake languages, I watched a lot of videos of — now it seems funny — dictators and powerful leaders speaking a different language to see if I could understand what they were saying without knowing the language,” she told the publication. “And you can! You absolutely can understand what Hitler’s f*cking saying, these single-focus orators speaking a foreign language,” she continued. Emilia was super nervous that she wouldn’t do a good job… “This speech meant so much to me. I was so worried that I was going to f*ck it up. I stayed up so late every night for like two months. I said it to my cooker, I said it to my fridge,” she went on. “I said it to all of Belfast out my window! Well, the window was closed because I didn’t want people to think I was actually barking mad.” Ultimately, she got it right on her first take. So, all that rehearsal definitely paid off. “Then the weirdest thing happened — I walked onset, didn’t need a rehearsal, and I got through the whole thing perfect on the first go. The rest of the day it was like Daenerys was just with me. That’s the only time I got through that speech without getting anything wrong, when it was on camera. Source: C.Smith/ WENN.com / WENN Aretha Franklin’s Handwritten Wills Discovered By Her Niece Aretha Franklin’s niece, Sabrina Owens–who is also the personal representative of Franklin’s estate–has reportedly found the late singer’s handwritten wills, according to reports via the Associated Press . These newly discovered wills were filed in probate court in Oakland County, Michigan on Monday. The three wills were discovered by Owens after she came across a key for a locked cabinet. Two of the wills, from 2010, were found in said cabinet while the third will, from March 2014, was uncovered under the cushions of a couch. It was previously thought that Franklin left no will behind, until Owens found all three of thesewills in the same day at Franklin’s home. The documents from 2014 detail which assets should be left to Franklin’s family members. A statement from Owens says, “she remains neutral and wishes that all parties involved make wise choices on behalf of their mother, her rich legacy, the family and the Aretha Franklin estate…” “If it’s clear and convincing evidence of your intentions, it’s a perfectly valid document,” Patrick Simasko, an estate specialist, told AP. “The court wants to do everything in its power to fulfill the wishes of the person who passed away.” In the documents, Franklin requests that her son, Kecalf Franklin, be the personal representative of the estate. Franklin’s sons previously agreed to Owens overseeing the estate. A hearing to confirm the validity of the wills is scheduled to happen on June 12.

Source: CBS Photo Archive / Getty MusiCares Reveals The Mac Miller Legacy Fund The Mac Miller Legacy Fund has officially been launched by MusiCares, and will set out to help young people who are struggling with substance abuse, according to their website. MusiCares, which was created by the Recording Academy back in 1993, announced the non-profit on Thursday in Los Angeles during its annual MusiCares Concert for Recovery. Mac Miller’s very close friend Vince Staples was in attendance to reveal the news during a tribute to the late musician. The Mac Miller Fund—which was founded at the Pittsburgh Foundation by the rapper’s family—will grant $50,000 to help establish the MusiCares Mac Miller Legacy Fund. The site also shares that the legacy fund “is dedicated to helping members of the music community age 27 and under who are facing addiction.” The Mac Miller Fund currently has assets of nearly $1 million, which has been accumulated from donations via the Mac Miller: A Celebration of Life concert that took place last October, along with some contributions from the public. Mac’s family issued a statement after the MusiCares’ announcement saying the following: “These grants celebrate Malcolm’s life and legacy by funding two respected organizations that provide opportunities for young people to realize their talents and potential. It’s critically important to our family to fund a safety net for artists and musicians who are struggling with substance addiction. No life should be cut short for lack of expert help.”
Source: MARK RALSTON / Getty Man Arrested After Beating A Woman With An Electric Scooter A man in California was arrested and charged in the murder of an elderly woman after he allegedly beat her to death with an electric scooter, according to reports from KTLA . 27-year-old Amad Rashad Redding was indicted on Wednesday on one count of murder in the death of 63-year-old Rosa Elena Hernandez. Authorities say that Redding approached Hernandez in Long Beach on Monday afternoon, knocking her to the ground and then proceeding to stomp on the woman’s head. When a bystander tried to help, that is when Redding reportedly took an electric Bird scooter and bludgeoned her to death. Officers who responded to the horrific incident found significant injuries to Hernandez’ upper torso and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Police don’t believe that Redding actually knew his victim prior to this incident, and prosecutors described him as a transient who “randomly attacked” Hernandez. One resident did tell the station, however, that she had seen Redding in the neighborhood before. “I’ve seen him, he walks around, I’ve seen him walk around a few times by our house actually,” said Misty Velasco. Hernandez was a local babysitter who had lived in Long Beach for almost 40 years. “She knew everybody in the community, she would walk around, talk to all the Latinas and Latinos who lived in the neighborhood,” Dennis Fitzgerald said. “She did not drive, so she just walked every place.” Redding fled following Monday’s assault but was found about four hours later inside of a business, according to the Los Angeles Times . He was previously arrested back in February for allegedly setting a fire inside his family’s home in Louisiana, as reported by the Louisiana State Fire Marshal . Redding is currently being held on a $2 million bond and faces a possible sentence of 25 years to life in jail if convicted.
