Cardravious Crump hosted a Halloween party at his moms house in Tate County, Mississippi on Sunday, and felt that all was well — until two deputy officers came into the apartment unannounced just an hour after the soiree was over. Crump and his mom discovered the policemen roaming around their kitchen — and when they asked what the issue was, the cops mentioned underage drinking, even though the party had already ended. Cardravious’ mother told reporters , “I asked him nicely to step out. I said, ‘Well then, I can talk to you, but can you step outside? [They refused] so I cursed him out. I was like, ‘You gonna get the [expletive] out my house ’cause I did not tell you to come in here.” Crump took out his phone during the altercation and cops responded, “You can turn that off. You can turn that off. You’re gonna turn that off, get that out of my face. I just told you to turn it off. I’m not gonna tell you again.” Cardravious told reports that he didn’t know what the cop was reaching for when he reached around his side, which is why he started recording. Even Tate County Sheriff Brad Lance said the deputy was wrong to ask Crump to turn off the camera. Luckily no one was hurt or arrested.

The Olympic gold medalist let it all out on Twitter this week, criticizing USA Gymnastics’ decision to appoint Mary Bono as interim president and chief executive officer on Saturday. Biles shared her disapproval with USA Gymnastics’ decision via her Twitter page, resurfacing an anti-Nike tweet that Bono proudly posted last month. In the now-deleted Tweet, Bono posted a photo of her blacking out a Nike logo in the wake of the company’s advertising endorsement of Colin Kaepernick–she was given Nike shoes at a golfing event but decided to cover over the white swoosh with a black sharpie. Innovative. Biles retweeted the statement along with her explicit disapproval of new Bono’s appointment, writing, “*mouth drop* don’t worry, it’s not like we needed a smarter usa gymnastics president or any sponsors or anything.” Unsurprisingly, Bono also tweeted out #BoycottNike during the company’s campaign. In case you’re unfamiliar, Nike is a huge sponsor of the U.S. Olympic Committee. Bono is a former US Congresswoman and spent 15 years in the legislature until 2013. She won her first term during a special election to fill the vacant seat of her deceased husband, pop star and legislator Sonny Bono. Following that, she was most recently working at a consulting firm in Washington D.C. The Olympic organization is going to keep Bono as their acting president until they find a permanent replacement for Kerry Perry. After deleting the initial anti-Nike Tweet, Bono released an apology saying the following: “I deeply regret posting the tweet because I respect everyone’s views and their fundamental right to express them,” she said in a statement released by U.S.A. Gymnastics. “This in no way reflects how I will approach my position at U.S.A. Gymnastics. Kelly’s alleged victims are deciding to take matters into their own hands. Timothy and Jonjelyn Savage, the parents of Jocelyn Savage, who have accused the singer of holding their daughter hostage-have reportedly created an “abuse hotline” for other victims like their daughter who claim they have been victimized by Kelly. According to Vibe , the hotline was set up after the Savages were contacted by over 80 women or their parents claiming that they have also unwillingly had sexual/violent interactions with R. Kelly from over the years. Savage’s mother has been screening messages left on the hotline to filter out prank calls and documenting the more serious offenses.

But before he was elected, and before Baldwin took on the character in 2016, the show’s creator, Lorne Michaels, reportedly insisted on only throwing soft jabs at the candidate–this is all according to an interview with former SNL cast member Taran Killam . In an interview with Matt Gourley on his podcast I Was There Too , the former Trump impressionist opened up about his decision to leave Saturday Night Live in 2016, along with the controversial hosting of Donald Trump in 2015. As Vulture pointed out, the Night School actor says Michaels pressured the cast and writers to go easy on Donald Trump in all of their skits, later surprising them with the candidate’s invitation to host. “Lorne was being so specific about what we could and couldn’t say about him, and he was dictating a lot of the settings,” Killam said during the podcast. “At that point—the first CNN interview [Trump] was doing—and that was sort of looking like what we thought we were going to do, and Lorne’s like, ‘It’ll be too old news by then, and you know, you don’t want to vilify him. You know, he’s like any New York taxi driver. I know him, I’ve seen him around at parties for years and years, and he just says whatever it is he’s thinking, and that’s his thing. But you know, you have to find a way in that makes him likable.’” Aside from just some questionable political choices, Killam also says SNL went downhill after Seth Meyers’ departure in 2014. “When Seth Meyers left the show, the dynamic changed quite a bit,” he continued, saying that an increase in pre-taped sketches and Seth’s absence made the show feel like “less of a happy place to be.” Check out Taran Killam’s entire here .
