A Meat Loaf concert in Pittsburgh became awfully scary when Loaf (real name Michael Lee Aday) collapsed and medics rushed to his aid. Fortunately, after a short time on his back, Meat got up and grinded out the rest of the show! Talk about giving fans their money’s worth. Here’s footage from right after the collapse took place … Meat Loaf Faints in Concert A short time later, during a performance of “Paradise by the Dashboard Light,” Meat explained everything that went wrong at the show. “I f**king fainted. I have asthma … I can’t breathe … and then … oh wait, I forgot … I got poked by a pin and bled half to death.” “Then I got slapped in the face and my tooth is loose.” Rock n’ roll, man. Rock n’ roll.
Rebecca Black is well aware that she’s more of a punch line than a respected artist. But that’s why the 13-year old has followed up her much-maligned debut single, “Friday,” with ” My Moment ,” a more mature track that tackles the topic of bullying and online hatred. “I wanted people to able to take me seriously because I felt like this would be the right thing to do,” Black told MTV of the song selection. “I wanted to start building what could be a really great career, but this industry, it’s so unpredictable: You could be the big thing for a month or four months, and then kind of fall off the face of the planet. And I felt my whole team kind of felt like it was a great way to put me here for an amount of time.” “My Moment” is the lead single from Black’s upcoming album. It will be released next month and feature only five tracks. [Photo: WENN.com]
Clip shows ‘Friday’ singer making TV appearances, walking red carpets. By Jocelyn Vena Rebecca Black in her “My Moment” music video Photo: RB Friday, Inc Have you heard that this is Rebecca Black’s moment ? Well, in case you haven’t, she’s happily declaring it in her video for her latest single, “My Moment.” The song is all about empowerment and addressing all those haters who didn’t necessarily get her last viral smash, “Friday.” The video opens with the teen singer in a recording studio putting the final touches on the cutesy song, which opens with the lyrics, “Were you the one who said that I would be nothing?/ Well, I’m about to prove you wrong/ I’m not the only one who believes in something/ My one wish is about to come true.” Scenes of her in the studio are intercut with a montage of her making TV appearances, strutting down red carpets, driving around Hollywood and greeting fans. The feel-good theme of the track continues on the chorus, with Black declaring, “This is my moment, my moment/ It’s my time, flying high, lime, mine/ Feels like my moment, my moment, I’ve waited for so long/ But now everybody knows this is my moment, my moment.” Next, Rebecca takes her fans to the makeup chair, where she’s getting all gussied up, and to dance rehearsals, which eventually become a full-on dance break as she hits the floor with “So You Think You Can Dance” finalists Robert Roldan and Kent Boyd. Then she’s in a limo in a big red dress, her name on the marquee; this time the red carpet is all hers. The song was written by Brandon “Blue” Hamilton (Justin Bieber) and Quinton Tolbert, and the production credits include Charlton Pettus. Black is also finishing up her five-track EP, which will be released in August. Related Videos MTV News Extended Play: Rebecca Black
It’s not as if Rebecca Black set out to create comedy genius with the video for “Friday”, but we were expecting something a bit more winky-winky and entertaining and than what we get in the video for her humorless follow-up single “My Moment.” Sadly, Rebecca sings about her “moment” (aka her extended 15 minutes of … More » Broadcasting platform : YouTube Source : Idolator Discovery Date : 18/07/2011 22:44 Number of articles : 4

Follow-up to smash ‘Friday, titled ‘My Moment,’ will be released July 18. By Jocelyn Vena Rebecca Black Photo: Ethan Miller/Getty Images Thanks to her ubiquitous hit “Friday,” Rebecca Black quickly went from YouTube sensation to starring in a Katy Perry video for that singer’s equally ubiquitous hit “Last Friday Night.” Now Black is ready to take her career to the next level. She’ll release a new song, “My Moment,” on July 18, according to The Hollywood Reporter The song was written by Brandon “Blue” Hamilton (Justin Bieber) and Quinton Tolbert and the production credits include Charlton Pettus. The video is less kitschy (but perhaps just as literal) than her “Friday” video. It will include footage of her attending red-carpet events and receiving an award at her junior high school. It will “tell the story of her sudden rise to fame,” according to a statement. “It’s a fairy tale story, but it happened in real life.” Black is also working on finishing up her five-track EP, which will be released in August. “We’re thinking about it; we have so many different options right now. We’re trying to decide which route we should take,” Black told MTV News earlier this year about her career plans and following up her viral smash. “I really like Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Katy Perry , Selena Gomez; all just the fun upbeat stuff, teenager songs,” she said of her musical inspirations. “My dream duet would be Justin Bieber. Even just doing something with Taylor Swift, or any of my favorite artists would be so cool.” Are you looking forward to Rebecca Black’s next single? Tell us in the comments! It’s Friday. Maybe you were gonna crank Rebecca Black to get you closer to the weekend. And while we at Crushable advocate weekly (daily) “Friday” dance parties, there’s always room in our repertoire for an equally absurd song.
