First, I was stunned and disappointed by the way Gloria was treated in the media. After the much publicized (and unfortunate) situation went down in Los Angeles last year, story after story was published that portrayed her as a piece of property, instead of the strong, independent woman and mother she is; someone who is capable of making her own decisions. This is a human being we are talking about, not some pawn in a game. As far as Matt goes, to say that we had history before the incident would be an exaggeration. We played together for the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2010–11 season, and a couple months in the lockout-shortened 2011–12 season. That’s it. That’s the history. During that time, we were teammates, and never had any issues. We never had any real relationship off the court, either. Our kids didn’t hang out, our families didn’t interact. There were no birthday parties. There were no post-game dinners. We weren’t friends and we had no mutual friends. The day after the 2015 Grammy Awards was perhaps one of the worst of Gwen Stefani’s life. The night before, Stefani had performed on stage with Maroon 5 at the ceremony, then grabbed Mexican food with the band’s frontman (and her co-judge on The Voice ), Adam Levine. And then, the morning came. “My life was literally blown up into my face,” Stefani said of the secret that ultimately ended her 13-year marriage to Gavin Rossdale. “If I could, I would just tell you everything , and you would just be in shock,” Stefani told the New York Times, citing her kids as one of the reasons she prefers to keep the details private. “It’s a really good, juicy story.” Us Weekly alleged back in November that Rossdale had carried on a longterm affair with the couple’s nanny Mindy Mann. Another nanny found explicit texts and photos between the two on the family iPad, which was linked to Rossdale’s phone. Stefani found it almost impossible to cope with the news. “I’m gonna die,” she recalled thinking to herself. “I am dead, actually. How do I save myself? What am I going to do? How do I not go down like this?” Stefani sought solace in the recording studio and on the set of The Voice , where she was a judge alongside Levine, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams. It was a challenge for Stefani to keep her personal turmoil to herself. “I’m not a secret girl,” she told the newspaper. “I tell everybody when my period is coming.” After filing for divorce from Rossdale in August, she and Shelton started to bond over their broken marriages (he had split from second wife, Miranda Lambert a month earlier). Shelton “had been going through literally the exact same thing in literally the exact same time frame,” Stefani explained, giddily admitting that their relationship went through several emotional stages. “We had anger, we had sadness, we had flirtation, we had sexy, and now we’re madly in love,” she said. “Never in my wildest, craziest dreams would I ever have seen this coming.” Is she the cutest? That’s when Disick was spotted partying in Mexico , and the troubled father of three went on to give a bizarre interview to People . One in which he confirmed that despite sobering up after a whopping six stints in rehab, he was off the wagon again. Happily. That’s right, he isn’t upset about it or calling it a relapse; Disick matter of factly stated that he recently made the conscious decision to start boozing again. You might think that since Scott’s drinking was the primary cause of his trouble with Kourtney, she would absolutely want nothing to do with him if he’s back on the bottle. We’ve just received news that “Mama” June Shannon has been rushed to the hospital after passing out at her home earlier today. According to TMZ, the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star collapsed after walking down the stairs in her Georgia house. She reportedly regained consciousness but then fainted again several times afterwards, prompting her 16-year-old daughter Lauren “Pumpkin” Shannon to drive her to the hospital. Mama June had vomited multiple times and complained of feeling unwell throughout the day. Apparently, she had been trying to stick to a diet and admitted she hadn’t eaten much. Doctors are still unaware of the reason behind Mama June’s mystery illness, but are moving forward with blood work and a CT scan to determine the cause. Mama June has dealt with her share of controversy over the years. Here Comes Honey Boo Boo , which features June as the mother of a child pageant contestant, has been described by many as “trainwreck” programming that viewers loved to hate. The mother of four most recently appeared with her ex, Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson, on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars , on which the pair tried to save their relationship. On the show, Sugar Bear revealed that he’d cheated on her several times with different women and had experimented with men. However, a lie detector test taken for the show also proved that Mama June had not cheated on Sugar with her ex Mark McDaniel, a convicted child molester. This is unsurprising, given what we’ve seen him do lately. 81-year-old Willie Scott spoke to the Daily Mail about living with West and his mother , Dr. Donda West when the rapper was a teenager. After two years of dating, Donda and Kanye moved into Willie’s Chicago home, where they lived for four years. ‘He [Kanye] was about 14. He was a beautiful kid, but he was aggressive and he was self assured,” Willie told the site. “Kanye didn’t want me with his mother or any man for that matter. He was wrapped up into his mother.” And she him. “He was the only child and she loved him to death,” Willie said. “She was locked into him period. So it would not have mattered for me to talk to him when she was the one who made the difference.” Kanye was so defiant, that Willie and Donda went to therapy to work on their relationship, as well as Willie’s relationship with Kanye. “We went to a counselor to see if we could get him on the right path, but Donda wasn’t interested,” Willie said. “She wanted ME on the right path. And that is what the dilemma was.” Kanye was up front with Willie on what he would and wouldn’t do inside Willie’s home, namely chores. “He told me in front of his mother that he didn’t want to have to do anything he didn’t have to. So that left the discipline on me basically,” Willie recalled. “And he wasn’t cooperative. “He had to take the responsibility for living here and he wasn’t really willing to do that.” Willie had no help from Donda, who “would make excuses” for her son, calling him a “genius.” Genius or not, Willie needed Kanye to help with household chores. “It was a sticking point…for him to take responsibility for the house,” Willie pointed out. “It was his house and I told him that. I said ‘Son, this is your house and you have to take care of it.’ “But he was not into doing anything but his (rap) work. He did his thing which was doing his music. He was not interested in anything else, not maintaining anything.” “He was a very creative kid, but he didn’t want anything to interfere with what he was doing, and that was his music,” Willie said. Donda passed away in 2007 after complications following plastic surgery. In 2015,Q Magazine asked Kanye if he had sacrificed anything for fame. “My mother,” Kanye answered. “If I had never moved to LA, she’d be alive. I don’t want to go far into it because it will bring me to tears.”
