Jason Wahler Sprung From Mexican Jail Cell, Then Arrested Again For DUI Back in the U.S.

DMX had better watch his back. Former Laguna Beach and Hills star Jason Wahler was arrested last week for allegedly driving under the influence, having just been sprung from jail in Mexico! Newport Beach, Calif., police say Wahler was nabbed for driving a 2008 Chevy Tahoe while intoxicated. Hilariously, he described himself to police as “an actor.” He was released under his own recognizance. You may recall Wahler was arrested in Cabo San Lucas , Mexico and held there earlier this month after a bar fight. As for how he got back to the U.S., that remains shrouded in mystery. The U.S. Consulate is, for whatever reason, kept the reason for his release on the DL. Until he gets arrested, we always forget about him too . Jason Wahler was cuffed a week ago Thursday and thrown in the slammer after getting in a fight, yet no record of Jason was found during calls to various jails. The Consulate says he was released seven hours after being locked up after the ex of Lauren Conrad signed a document keeping the terms of his release secret. Who knew you could even do that, it’s news to us, and You have to wonder what he did to secure his release. You gotta love Mexico. According to Wahler’s father, no charges were filed against his son in Mexico. As for the Newport Beach DUI, he’s not likely to be let off with any secret bribe.

Walmart New Moon Release Party: Watch New Moon DVD Release Party at Walmart – It was confirmd that besides the Twilight New Moon DVD Release Party at Borders, Walmart is having their own New Moon Release party too, Friday, March 19 at 11 pm. with giveaways, cake and more. Looks like a national campaign! The Edith Bishel Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired is holding a New Moon DVD release party from 10 p.m. to midnight March 19 at the Richland Walmart. There will be a Twilight costume contest featuring the following categories: humans, vampires, werewolves and Volturi. The winner in each category will receive a New Moon DVD. Contest judges will be the Tri-Cities’ own Twilight character look-a-likes, sponsored by the Edith Bishel Center, a nonprofit agency in Kennewick. Free photos will be taken with the look-a-like characters. Meanwhile, The Holland Wal-mart is already heavily promoting T-shirts, games and other Twilight loot in preparation for tonight. As fans begin lining up in the evening, Wal-mart will have giveaways and activities. “We hope it’s going to be a big crowd,” Wal-mart electronics associate Emmitte Meade said. “I’ve worked every one of the midnight releases, and I love it. T.I. To Finish Prison Sentence This Month

The rapper announced new single “I’m Back” through a promotional Twitter account , and his lawyer confirmed to MTV News on Thursday (March 4) that Tip will be released from prison later this month. Federal Bureau of Prison records list the rapper’s release date as March 26. “That date is correct,” lawyer Steve Sadow said via e-mail. “T.I. is now serving the remainder of his sentence in home confinement under the supervision of the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.” The rapper is in a halfway house , where he was transferred in late December. Upon his release from Dismas Charities Atlanta West later this month, he’s still expected to complete anywhere from 20 to 60 additional days of home confinement, stemming from an arrangement he made with prosecutors before his prison stint began. Originally, the rapper reached a deal that required him to complete 1,500 hours of community service, 1,000 of which had to be finished in a year before he would be formally sentenced. In return, the rapper secured a reduced jail sentence of one year and one day in prison. The length was significant, legal experts noted, because it allowed the rapper the chance for an early release; had he been sentenced to exactly one year, his options would have been less flexible. Through a series of speeches to troubled youths, the rapper recorded well over 1,000 hours, though he still needs to complete the remaining time after his release to reach the full 1,500. Per his sentencing guidelines, T.I. also must submit to drug counseling and financial audits and maintain a curfew through the remaining home-confinement period. After that, the rapper will be free to resume his normal schedule, which will presumably include finishing a new album. In total, the rapper — who began his sentence in May — will have served 10 months of a 366-day sentence. Related Artists T.I.
