Jacob Lusk has a tendency to be overly dramatic on American Idol . It’s what has made this season 10 finalist a polarizing singer. It’s also what concerned Jimmy Iovine last night, as the producer was afraid Lusk’s style would negatively affect his cover of “Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word” and Jacob might “blow the whole thing.” J. Lo thought the rendition was “beautiful,” while Steven Tyler said both halves of the song just “blew me away.” Do you agree? Or was there almost too much emotion in this performance? Bret Michaels to Release Miley Cyrus Duet

We haven’t heard the last from Brett Michaels and Miley Cyrus. The artists recorded a duet of Poison’s “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” last year, only for the release of it to be suspended because rumors of an affair between Bret and Miley’s mother, Tish, flooded the Internet. Both parties denied the story. Bret and Miley Duet Now, the same week Billy Ray called off his divorce from Tish, Michaels has announced his plan to eventually release the single, even citing the rumored affair as the basis for its delay: “The record label was supposed have to this huge humongous release of ‘Every Rose.’ It was going to be Miley’s next-step song, but because of that , they stepped back.” Look for this rendition of “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” to be available for download this summer.

Paul McDonald Tweets Apology Over Performance Outfit

He’s among the leading candidates to be sent home tonight, but American Idol finalist Paul McDonald has other concerns to consider before this evening’s results show. Following his cover of Ryan Adams’ “Come Pick Me Up” last night, the aspiring singer was faced with a number of angry Tweets from viewers who took issue with the Marine Corps Dress Blues jacket he donned on stage. Paul McDonald – Come Pick Me Up In response to this fervor, McDonald has Tweeted: “Just to let everyone know I have nothing but respect for our men and women in the armed forces. Tons of respect for you guys… I’ve been told my jacket on the show upset some folks … I wasn’t trying to offend anyone. Sorry! I’ve got nothing but love for you guys!”

Interview: Billy Burke Speaks on Breaking Dawn, Red Riding Hood

While filming Breaking Dawn in Vancouver, Billy Burke recently spoke to Reel Movie News about the end of Twilight and his other upcoming film, Red Riding Hood . The actor who plays the father of Kristen Stewart’s Bella discussed the two films’ parallels, working with his young, famous co-stars and more. Here are some excerpts from Burke’s chat with RMN: On his Red Riding Hood role: It’s slightly, pardon the metaphor, off the path of the fairytale. I play Red Riding Hood ‘s drunken, misguided father. It was one of the most beautiful sets I’ve ever been on. I kind of look like the drunken jolly green giant. On working with Catherine Hardwicke on both films: When she called me and pitched me the idea, I was all in. She created the Twilight world and she did an amazing job with that. I figured if anyone could make a picture like this, it would be her. On comparisons to Twilight: There is a love triangle. There’s a young girl and two gentlemen vying for her attention. That’s probably the biggest comparison. On Charlie and Bella’s post-wedding scene: I do have a scene with Kristen Stewart directly after the wedding, before they take off for the honeymoon. Adam Lambert "Aftermath" Remix: Listen Here!

Adam Lambert is giving American Idol viewers an extra special reason to tune in to tonight’s results show: the former runner-up will perform an acoustic version of the single “Aftermath.” Following this rendition, a remixed version of the song will be available on Adam’s official site, with a portion of the proceeds going toward The Trevor Project, a crisis intervention and suicide prevention organization for LGBTQ youth. We love Katy Perry personally and think some of her songs are really catchy, but her live singing skills were a bit suspect at the American Music Awards. It’s hard to watch her rendition of “Firework” (below) and not think that, but that’s just our opinion. What do you think? Did she knock it out of the park? In her defense, at least she TRIED to sing live, which is more than we can say for some of the no-talent hacks who masquerade as musicians. Jon Gosselin: Stoned Out of His Mind

This isn’t breaking news at all, but it is hilarious: A video of Jon Gosselin stoned last summer with then-girlfriend Hailey Glassman has just leaked online. If you recall, the two just started dating and were vacationing in St. Tropez, France, with Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier. Looks like they had fun. An insider tells Radar Online , the king of exclusive non-stories, that they smoked spliffs (marijuana and tobacco mixed) and were drunk on champagne. Jon Gosselin, who was still married to Kate then, took turns with Hailey Glassman filming each other, making cracks about the French and lactose issues. The trip marked Jon and Hailey’s first public appearance together. When Glassman references her curly hair during a salon mishap she experienced in St. Tropez, Jon interrupts with: “It looked like big Jewish pubes.” Class . At one point, Jon, with a cigarette up his nose, says: “This is how the French smoke. They smoke so much they put cigarettes in every orifice of their body.” While there is no paraphernalia or anything, and it certainly matters little if they were actually stoned, their behavior would certainly suggest that it’s true.
