Renee Zellweger Defended By Ex-Boyfriend: She Looks Like Renee! Chill Out People!

Renee Zellweger’s ex-boyfriend Rhett Baker is speaking out against online critics of her new appearance, saying she looks like Renee and still looks gorgeous. She probably has had Botox, however … or so Rhett believes. “Yeah, she looks a little bit different, but in comparison to what?” Baker says in response to the Internet losing its mind at the fact that Renee Zellweger looks like this . “I don’t think it’s that drastic, she looks like a 45-year-old healthy Renee Zellweger, she’s not 35 anymore, she’s had Botox probably,” he adds, casually.  At the same time, he doesn’t think it’s that big a change: “I don’t look at that picture and say ‘Who is that?’ I look at that picture and I would say ‘Oh that’s Renee’.” “Obviously I’ve known her a long time, but nothing about that picture makes me go ‘Oh my god, what has she done?’ I think she looks like a beautiful 45-year-old woman.” “I think she looks younger than 45, ’cause she’s always looked younger but I don’t think she looks drastically younger and that some type of surgery has done that.” “I think it’s people being hyper-critical.” While some might zero in on the fact that he mused about her Botox treatments, what he said after that is actually supportive and a very valid statemen. Even if they do not mean it in a harsh way, people definitely are being hyper-critical by giving it this much attention. In that respect we are all guilty as charged. Renee Zellweger Plastic Surgery Photos? See Her Changing Face 1. Renee Zellweger Then and Now Renee Zellweger in 2004 and 2014. Yes, that is actually the same person. Even Heidi Montag empathizes with her, and for good reason. Whatever led to her change in appearance, all we can do is hope that Renee is happy with it. Zellweger does look dramatically unlike she used to, but she’s also older and has been out of the public eye for years, as Baker’s comments subtly remind us. Also, she did look a little more like the Renee of old in a subsequent appearance after the red carpet event that sent the web into a collective freakout. Point taken, Rhett. Point taken.

Emma Stone Lingerie of the Day

I guess Emma Stone is trying to legitimize her acting career, from being the nerdy obscure girl in some nerd targeted low budget movie, to being the nerdy obscure girl in some nerd targeted blockbuster that put her on the fucking map, now wanting to do some Chicago Musical theatre where she’s playing the Renee Zellweger part, with a less mutated but equally unattractive face…all in lingerie to be Broadway official…now she can be considered an actual actor…instead of the scam that should still be working at the local third wave coffee shop making Lattes…with acting dreams and aspirations that ideally would have never actually happened – but unfortunately did.

Obamacare Kills: LITERALLY, Michele Bachmann Says

U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) said Thursday that it’s time to repeal Obamacare before it literally kills women, children and senior citizens. “That’s why we’re here: Because we’re saying repeal this failure before it literally kills women , kills children, kills senior citizens,” she said on the House floor. “Let’s not do that. Let’s love people. Let’s care about people. Let’s repeal it now while we can,” added the controversial 2012 presidential candidate. The outspoken tea party congresswoman is no stranger to hyperbole, especially when it comes to President Obama’s landmark health care bill. Her comments harken back to 2009, when the bill was still being debated, or last year, when the GOP vowed to repeal it if President Obama lost. He didn’t, of course, but don’t think that will stop symbolic efforts to overturn it. The Republican-led House has passed bills to do so 30-plus times. Despite zero chance of success – the Democratic-controlled Senate and White House would also have to sign off – repeal efforts keep on coming. Michele Bachmann certainly isn’t sounding like she’s moved on. Should she? Have you? What do you think of Obamacare?   Uphold the law, it’s clearly constitutional! Repeal the law, it’s so unconstitutional! View Poll »

Parents Force Teen to Hold Humiliating Sign as Punishment: Tough Love or Too Far?

Worried about their 13-year-old daughter’s increasingly disrespectful behavior, two parents decided to make her punishment humiliating and public. Gentry and Renee Nickell of Crestview, Fla., made her spend 90 minutes standing at a busy intersection with a hand-written sign describing her sins: The sign they made her hold says: “I’m a self-entitled teenager w/no respect for authority. I’m also super smart, yet I have 3 ‘D’s’ because I DON’T CARE.” Passing motorists saw the teen and took pictures with their phones. Some of the photos ended up on Facebook, where they were shared within the community. Someone called the cops, who showed up to talk to the teen and left after deciding that she was “aware of her punishment and she was not in any harm.” Now, however, the parents are feeling a little humiliation of their own. “I wasn’t even thinking about what the public was going to think,” her mom, Renee told the Northwest Florida Daily News . “I was thinking about our daughter.” “It was for her to be in the public and recognize what she had done.” “We spend so much focus on not wanting to hurt a child’s self esteem that we don’t do anything,” the Nickells said in a statement defending the punishment. “As they say, walk a mile in someone’s shoes,” the statement read. “We must undo at home what the world tries to tell her is better.” Renee Nickell said the family has had a hard time since Renee’s brother was killed in Afghanistan in December 2011. Her kids were close to him and his family. Since losing her uncle in the war, Renee’s 13-year-old girl has become much more defiant at home and at school, and her grades have dropped. “We just felt like she just kind of gave up,” Renee told the newspaper. Holding a sign in public wasn’t their first choice for punishment. They tried grounding her, but it didn’t help. They didn’t forbid her from attending church, they said, because that was supposed to reinforce strong values. They didn’t confiscate the teenager’s electronics because neither she nor their two younger children, ages 2 and 6, even have any, the couple said. “We just got to the point where we just didn’t know what else to do,” Renee said, then they heard about the sign idea from a Christian counselor. The girl’s dad stood next to her the whole time. “At the end, she gave me a hug in front of a police officer and she told me she was sorry,” Gentry said. But soon, the Nickells were surprised to find out that their daughter’s punishment had gone viral, and were shocked by the anger leveled at them. What do you think? Was a little tough love warranted in this case? Or did they go a little too far? Are they the worst parents ever? Discuss below.

‘Breaking Dawn’ Exclusive Clip: Bella’s Wedding Day

Sneak peek premieres during ‘MTV First’ with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. By Kara Warner Kristen Stewart in “Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” Photo: Summit Entertainment For all the “Twilight” fans out there — and, more specifically, the prone-to-swoon hopeless romantics — one of the most anticipated moments in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” is the wedding of Bella Swan ( Kristen Stewart ) and Edward Cullen ( Robert Pattinson ). Fans have been buzzing about it for as long as we can remember, and on Thursday (November 3) — thanks to our exclusive “MTV First: Breaking Dawn” with Stewart, Pattinson and Taylor Lautner — we got another sneak peek at how sweet, emotional and beautiful those nuptials are going to be when we finally see them on the big screen, when the film opens November 18. Our clip opens with Bella’s mother Renee (Sarah Clarke) entering the room in which Alice (Ashley Greene) and Rosalie (Nikki Reed) are helping Bella get ready for her wedding day. “Oh my gosh, you’re so beautiful,” Mom says when she sees Bella, who is still in casual clothes but has her hair and makeup finished. “Oh, honey — crap, my mascara!” Renee exclaims, at which point Alice hands her a tissue. “Thanks,” she says, dabbing at her eyes. “Charlie, get in here!” she calls to Bella’s father (played by Billy Burke). Charlie pops his head into the frame tentatively. “You sure?” he asks, then walks slowly into the room, at which point Bella — seeing her dad all dolled up in a tuxedo — is so surprised she stands up out of her chair. “I know,” he says, seeing her reaction. “I look hot.” “We thought you needed something blue,” Renee says to Bella as Charlie opens a jewelry case to reveal a jewel-encrusted decorative hair comb. “And something old,” Charlie adds. “Besides your mother,” he jokes. “Thanks,” Renee scoffs. “It was Grandma Swan’s,” Charlie tells Bella. “But we added the sapphires,” Renee adds as Bella picks up the comb for a closer look. “It’s beautiful, you guys,” Bella says, handing the comb to Alice to put in her hair. “Wow. Thank you so much.” “It’s your first family heirloom,” Renee says. “You can pass it on to your daughter and her daughter,” she adds, tearing up and dabbing her eyes, and the scene fades to black. ’24’ Finale Cheat Sheet: Everything You Need To Know

Get up to speed as Jack Bauer races against the clock for Monday’s two-hour series finale. By Josh Wigler Kiefer Sutherland in the series finale of “24” Photo: Ray Mickshaw/Fox Jack Bauer has been tortured by terrorists, imprisoned in a foreign country, addicted to heroin, infected with a deadly virus, electrocuted to death and subsequently brought back to life. But on Monday night (May 24), he’ll go through an entirely new kind of trauma: an ending. After eight action-packed days of foiling terrorist plots, killing the bad guys and losing plenty of sleep, Jack Bauer’s time on the small screen finally runs out with Monday’s series finale of “24.” It hasn’t always been an easy road for the former Counter Terrorism Unit operative — indeed, many would argue that the show is far from its glory days of seasons one and two — but with the end of “24” comes the end of a television era, particularly when coupled with Sunday night’s series finale of “Lost.” If you haven’t been keeping up with “24” but still want to tune into the final two-hour installment, rewinding the clock to the beginning of the season isn’t exactly the most time-efficient way to familiarize yourself with this year’s story. Instead, we’ll do our best to debrief you on all the important details of Bauer’s final day on television. As “24” began its eighth season, Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) had just finished recovering from a lethal viral infection contracted at the end of season seven. But his days watching cartoons on the couch with his granddaughter were cut short upon his discovery of a plot to assassinate Omar Hassan (Anil Kapoor), the president of the Islamic Republic of Kamistan, who’s hard at work on a historic peace treaty with U.S. President Allison Taylor (Cherry Jones). Along with the help of longtime friend and quirky CTU analyst Chloe O’Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub) and budding love interest Renee Walker (Annie Wersching), Bauer prevented an initial attempt on Hassan’s life and spent the next several hours investigating a related terrorist plot to detonate a nuclear device in New York City. Eventually, these terrorists revealed that they would willingly surrender the nuclear bomb in exchange for President Hassan as a prisoner. Both President Taylor and Bauer refused to comply, but Hassan, not willing to value his life over the lives of hundreds of thousands of innocent people, handed himself over to the terrorists. In one of the season’s most shocking moments, Bauer subsequently discovered Hassan’s brutally executed body. Thinking that he and his allies had failed, Bauer and Renee retired to Jack’s apartment to commiserate with each other, leading to a lengthy bedroom romp that ended with the ultimate form of sexual frustration: From several rooftops away, a Russian assassin shot and killed Renee, leaving Bauer covered in blood and more distraught than ever before. A devastated Jack soon learned the reason behind Renee’s murder: Because of her past connections as a mole within the Russian mob, Renee would have been able to identify certain Russian officials who were secretly responsible for all the day’s events, including Hassan’s assassination. Bauer took this news to President Taylor, but she refused to follow through with a proper investigation as it would jeopardize America’s relationship with Russia, one of the essential partners in completing the peace treaty with Hassan’s homeland. Although Taylor justified the cover-up as a means to pursuing the treaty, Bauer wasn’t satisfied with her motives and consequently embarked on his own quest for justice against the Russians responsible for killing Hassan and Renee. But rather than tracking down the guilty parties and placing them under arrest, the vengeful Bauer instead opted to kill everyone responsible for Hassan and Renee’s death, legal system be damned. In the most recent episode, Jack uncovered the identities of two of the people most culpable for these deaths: Russian President Yuri Suvarov (Nick Jameson) and disgraced former U.S. President Charles Logan (Gregory Itzin), the same man who ordered the assassination of beloved President David Palmer (Dennis Haysbert) in the show’s fifth season. With only two hours remaining and a knife wound to the abdomen slowing him down, Bauer is running out of time to bring his bloody brand of justice to Suvarov’s and Logan’s doorsteps. Complicating matters further is the fact that the entirety of CTU, including Chloe and special agent Cole Ortiz (Freddie Prinze Jr.), has orders to take Bauer down using any means necessary. As “24” rushes toward the finish line, the great irony is this: After eight seasons of successfully unraveling conspiracies and thwarting terrible threats, Bauer himself has become the greatest threat of them all. Tell us what you’re expecting from the “24” series finale in the comments below!
