Kim describes origin of her beef with Nicki in interview on New York’s Power 105. By Rob Markman Lil Kim Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage was very forthcoming during her interview with New York Power 105’s Breakfast Club morning show on Thursday (May 17), especially about her feud with Nicki Minaj. Before Kimmy Blanco began fielding questions from show hosts DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God and Angela Yee, she questioned why media outlets don’t grill Ms. Minaj like they do her. “She has a way of trying to avoid the situation, and y’all let her do it,” Kim charged before she hit on the root of their issue. According to the Queen Bee, she was on pace to sign with Cash Money, the same label that made Nicki a star. “Me and Slim were friends for four years, and we decided that we were going to go into business together,” Kim said of her plans with CM co-CEO Ronald “Slim” Williams. “I was over there with Cash Money — I was getting ready to be partners with them.” The deal didn’t go through, but Kim did record “Grinding Makin’ Money,” a track that included both Birdman and Minaj. The Notorious K.I.M. claims that the track was slated for Birdman’s 2009 album Priceless but didn’t make the final cut. “They put the record out. I guess they didn’t like the response — they saw the response and they pulled the record off, pulled it back, never put it on his album, nothing,” Kim said. In the Big Momma’s mind, the single was to be beneficial to all parties. For Nicki and Cash Money, doing a song with the female rap great would help stamp a then-budding Minaj. In addition, it would put Kim back into rotation at radio, an important step in restarting her career after she was released from federal prison in 2006. But Birdman and company went cold on the track. “If that would’ve been a big video and a big event record, that would’ve been big for both of us,” Lil’ Kim reasoned. “But I personally think they didn’t want me to stand beside her, which is stupid.” Kim went on to claim that Nicki’s new record “Automatic” is strikingly similar to an unreleased record of the same name that she recorded and played for Cash Money brass three years ago. “On her new album, she has a song called ‘Automatic,’ and the song is so similar to the song that I played for Slim,” Kim charged. “The problem with her is she was very catty with it. I never had a problem with her — I was always, always nice with her, always. Clayton Osbon, a JetBlue pilot, had to be restrained Tuesday after suffering a panic attack on board a flight from New York’s JFK airport to Las Vegas. The FAA called the incident a medical emergency. The unruly captain was subdued by at least five passengers after his co-pilot locked him out of the cockpit after displayed potentially dangerous behavior. The flight was diverted to Amarillo, Texas. JetBlue Pilot Flips Out, Subdued by Passengers Osbon, a commercial pilot since 1989, was not at the controls but “began acting erratically, flipping switches in the cockpit and appearing confused.” Sources say that his co-pilot tricked him into going to the passenger area to check something, then locked the door and changed the security code. “The captain of the plane just went berserk,” passenger Wayne Honlnes said. “He came out of the other end of the plane … came running back to the cockpit and he was shouting out numbers … 500 something. He started banging on the cockpit door.” While Osbon was in the cabin, an off-duty JetBlue pilot traveling on the flight managed to enter the cockpit and help land the plane in Texas. JetBlue said in a statement: “Another captain, traveling off duty, entered the flight deck prior to landing at Amarillo, and took over the duties of the ill crewmember once on the ground.” “The aircraft arrived Amarillo at 10:11 am CT, and the crewmember was removed from the aircraft and taken to a local medical facility.” Passenger David Gonzalez, a former corrections officer from New York City, said he was sitting in the second row of flight 191 when he saw the captain storm out of the cockpit and rush toward an occupied bathroom. Flight attendants struggled to control him and Gonzalez, 50, said the captain began moving in the direction of the plane’s emergency exit. Gonzalez said he had gone to help the flight attendant and asked the captain what his problem was. Gonzalez said the pilot replied, “You’d better start praying right now,” and was shouting about Al Qaeda, a bomb, and the plane crashing. “I was actually the one that took him down. I noticed he was very erratic,” Gonzalez said. “He was pinned against the door. I was afraid he was going to knock down the door. I was able to put a choke hold on him.” “I was able to get him weak from cutting his wind pipe.” “When he buckled, I realized I had him where I need him. So I put a little more pressure, and that’s when he almost passed out. So I threw him to the floor.” “That’s when the team came in and started helping me … I just didn’t want him opening up that door. I knew if he got in there, we wouldn’t be sitting here now.” Gonzalez felt the man get weak and he passed out about three minutes later. The men, who took off their belts to tie his legs, as Osbon was reportedly able to break through plastic handcuffs, sat on the pilot until landing.
After director Spike Lee erroneously re-Tweeted their address as belonging to Trayvon Martin killer George Zimmerman , a school-cafeteria lunch lady and her husband were essentially forced to flee their home amid unwanted attention. Death threats, hate mail, swarming reporters and fearful inquiries from neighbors were all too much for the woman, 70, who has a heart condition, and her husband, 72, who temporarily moved to a hotel to avoid the spotlight and possible danger. According to reports, the confusion arose because the woman has a son, William George Zimmerman, who lived with her in 1995 and still lives in Central Florida. He is no relation to George Zimmerman, 28, the un-charged shooter in the Trayvon Martin case , which is sparking national outrage and international interest. Zimmerman traced the tweet – which did not initially come from Spike Lee, but gained massive interest after Lee re-Tweeted it – to a man in California. Zimmerman said he has implored the man to stop and said he received this response, “Black power all day. No justice, no peace” and an obscenity. Lee’s tweet has been removed, but it continues to be re-tweeted. Man. Spike hasn’t flown off the handle and wished he could take it back this badly since his taunting of Reggie Miller sparked the Pacers guard’s 25-point fourth quarter explosion in Game 5 of the 1994 Eastern Conference Finals.
