‘Again I Got Away’: Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Total Recall DVD Commentary is Priceless

Remember the scene in Total Recall where our foe’s eyes pop out of his head at a climactic moment? Well, your ears will perform a similar feat when you hear Arnold Schwarzenegger ‘s Total Recall DVD commentary with director Paul Verhoeven. It’s as monotone, Austrian, and filled with hearty chuckles as you imagine. It is still funny. In fact, it is the best thing I’ve heard all month.

The New York Film Critics Circle retreated a bit today from its controversial decision to move its annual 2011 awards vote up to Nov. 28 — thus becoming the first in the country — by delaying it 24 hours to Nov. 29. NYFCC chairman John Anderson cited “conflicting schedules” as the motive. Meanwhile, you can follow the announcements live on the NYFCC’ s new awards Twitter account — @NYFCC2011 — next Tuesday morning. Or just keep an eye out here at Movieline for all the results as they happen. [Press release]

Rupert Boneham to Run for Governor of Indiana

Can reality show popularity translate into success at the polls? Rupert Boneham hopes so. The former Survivor star, who won $1 million in 2004 when he was voted that show’s fan favorite, announced this weekend that he’s running for governor of Indiana under the Libertarian Party. Arguing that he’s “not beholden to any special interests,” Boneham said at a news conference yesterday that he’s the right man to replace Mitch Daniels in office. “I have only one interest: Empowering Hoosiers to give back to their communities. If the government puts up roadblocks, then they should be repealed,” Rupert said. “Hoosiers have consistently voted in professional politicians and look at the results. Hoosiers should have a different choice in 2012.” The aspiring politician runs Rupert’s Kids, a charity that provides mentoring and job-training to at-risk youths. But the real question remains: what will the tribe of Indiana residents decide when it speaks next November?

One drl337md from YouTube coyly posted a video showing off a Nexus One running Android 4.0. It’s an SDK port, and as such things likely aren’t all where they need to be. Despite that fact, and despite the fact that the Nexus One is considered outdated up against today’s high-end phones, the results didn’t seem Broadcasting platform : YouTube Source : Android Phone Fans Discovery Date : 21/10/2011 07:51 Number of articles : 2

Ricki Lake Shows Off Dance Moves, Thinner Body

Rob Kardashian may have been the night’s most improved dancer, but Ricki Lake’s flashy moves during the jive earned her the highest score of the night. The Dancing With the Stars contender, who scored a 23 to lead the pack, is happy about that result – but even more pleased about her shrinking body. Lake, who said she was inspired by former contestant Kirstie Alley’s weight loss on DWTS last season, has already dropped 12 pounds and several sizes. “I’m really getting in great shape,” the talk show host said afterward. “I’ll be wearing less and less clothing. The smaller I get, the less will be covered.” Watch Ricki deliver Monday night’s best routine here: Ricki Lake on Dancing With the Stars (Week 2)

Chaz Bono Posts Lowest Score on Dancing With the Stars; Is Tonight the End of the Road?

Chaz Bono battled gamely through the pain of inflamed knees last night on Dancing With the Stars, but couldn’t top his previous week’s score of 17. Whereas last week, that was good enough to best some others, it was at the bottom of the heap last night, casting serious doubt on his hopes tonight. “My knees just hurt so much,” Chaz Bono said Monday. The judges praised his attitude, but said his quickstep was simply too slow and not up to par. Here’s the performance that left him in jeopardy, well behind Ricki Lake and every other contestant who took to the parquet floor last night … Chaz Bono on Dancing With the Stars (Week 2) What do you think? Will Chaz Bono’s controversial run on Dancing With the Stars conclude this evening, or will America vote to save him?

Eddie Cibrian Defends LeAnn Rimes’ Weight Loss

LeAnn Rimes’ weight has become a cause for concern. Everybody from Twitter followers to Giuliana Rancic has been weighing in (pun intended) on the country star’s frame of late, even as Rimes repeatedly asserts that her thin physique is due to exercise, not starvation. Her husband, Eddie Cibrian, says he can vouch for that. The Playboy Club star told Access Hollywood that rumors regarding his wife irritate him because “I know she’s healthy – she eats more than I do sometimes!” “She eats healthy, but she works out pretty hard too, and she actually takes pride in the way she looks,” Cibrian added. “It’s a shame that people will jump on the bandwagon just because she is fit – and she’s far from unhealthy.” “[LeAnn] works out like crazy… she works out hard. She boxes. She trains.” The latest round of hubbub about LeAnn’s weight began August 30, when bikini photos were published online showing a much thinner, more vascular LeAnn. Rimes shoots back at her critics frequently. This time, Eddie did it for her. [Photos: WENN.com]
