Despite some fan speculation, viewers won’t see Ashley Jacobs return to Southern Charm next season. Ashley confirmed that on social media, claiming that it was her choice. Patricia Altschul isn’t letting that claim stand unchallenged, and mocked Ashley’s post. Did she go too far? “After a lot of prayerful consideration,” Ashley announced on Instagram. “I have decided not to return to Southern Charm next season.” There was more to her announcement, and we’ll get to that. But right now, let’s look at what one of the reigning Southern Charm stars has to say. The absolute legend that is Patricia Altschul saw Ashley’s announcement and decided to parody it with an announcement of her own. “After prayerful consideration,” Patricia tweeted. “I’ve decided to decline the Nobel Peace Prize and the swimsuit cover of Sports Illustrated. ” Patricia Altschul is a delight. It is clear by the implication of her tweet that, as far as she is concerned, Ashley was never considered for an invitation to return to the show. That’s not so surprising — Ashley was never a real cast member, and was only paid for her appearance at the reunion special. She was Thomas Ravenel’s girlfriend, and Thomas is never returning to Bravo. ( Thomas will, in fact, stand trial for sexual assault based upon the chilling allegations made by his children’s former nanny) Patricia received a lot of cheering after her shady tweet. Others, however, felt that she was taking things too hard. “Quit being a bully,” demanded one Twitter denizen. “Move on.” “You’re too old to continue these shenanigans,” the tweeter told Patricia. (Poking at Patricia Altschul’s age isn’t just rude — it also makes your words about bullying sound a little hollow) Patricia dismissed that particular tweet as sour grapes — possibly from Ashley herself under a fake social media account. Despite the implication that Ashley never had the option of returning to Southern Charm, her Instagram post explained her reasoning. “I’ve been blessed with an amazing career, family, & friends,” she wrote. “And,” Ashley continued. “I don’t want to put those things in jeopardy for a reality tv show.” “Honestly,” she shared. “I considered filming again because I desperately want to tell my side of the story.” “But after experiencing how unfair the editing process can be,” she explained. “I don’t think I’ll ever have a fair shot.” “I appreciate you all following me throughout this journey,” Ashley concluded. We’re glad that Ashley seems to have found some peace. Given the damage to her image as well as the visibly detrimental effects that stardom exacted upon her health, maybe it’s best that Ashley not return. (Not everyone should be a reality star, and that is perfectly okay — Ashley is a registered nurse) There are conflicting reports over who made this call. Ashley and some sources say that she was offered the chance to return to the show and try to work her way into the inner circle. Other sources — and Patricia Altschul — say that she was never considered, because she was never really a star. As you can see, the other ladies of Southern Charm are getting on just fine without Ashley. But we don’t think that it’s fair to call Patricia’s words “bullying.” It’s a shady tweet from a reality star to her former co-star. If it were racist or homophobic or misogynistic or something along those lines, maybe. Instead, it was one woman who appeared on a reality show mocking another. That goes with the territory. Also, it’s worth noting that Patricia was overtly friendly to Ashley when she first joined the show. It was Ashley’s behavior during her brief stint on Southern Charm that made Patricia feel repulsed. Cynthia, Kandi, Porsha, and Nene are back—and so is Eva, who officially got her peach. Eva is in wedding planning mode, Kandi is gallivanting in LA with Xscape, busy winning ASCAP Awards, Cynthia has a new boyfriend who lives in LA (the Fox News sportscaster, Mike Hill) and Porsha got a new man too. We all know by now that Porsha is engaged , but we get to watch it play out this season. In case you didn’t know, her man is Dennis McKinley, an entrepreneur who owns several lounges and the Original Hot Dog Factory . It’s quite clear that he’s loaded and he’s taking Porsha ring shopping. They’re going on a trip to Miami for Porsha’s birthday. Nene and Gregg are dealing with Gregg having stage 3 colon cancer. Nene is obviously a wreck but she’s standing by her hubby. Gregg is committed to fighting the good fight post surgery and so far so good but as a lot of us know, when it comes to cancer, they’re taking things day by day. In happier news, Nene and Porsha’s friendship is back in a good place. Nene helps Porsha find some clothes for her birthday trip, and Porsha does the most to make Nene laugh. It’s cute. Porsha then learns that Nene will be in Miami at the same time doing a comedy show so you know what that means, right? Girls trip! Actually, it’s going to be a surprise girls trip. Porsha calls the girls, even Kandi and invites them down with the intention of surprising Nene. Even Marlo is coming. But as we all know, things are still awkward between Porsha and Kandi and Porsha and Marlo also don’t get along. We’ll see how these dramaful (yes, dramaful) events start to unfold next week. Kenya isn’t returning, but she and her husband recently welcomed a healthy baby girl to the world. Hopefully, we’ll be seeing some of this in cameo appearances. The Walking Dead said goodbye to an original star on Sunday night. And no, we’re not talking about one of the recurring players here. We’re talking about the character who kickstarted the franchise on the series premiere, Rick Grimes! If you watch The Walking Dead online , you know that Rick was injured at the close of last week’s episode after trying to lure two herds of walkers away from his comrades. With Rick going in and out of consciousness, he met a lot of his fallen friends, and one of them was Shane aka the man who got jiggy with Rick’s wife, Lori while he was in a coma. It was a surprising scene because it took Rick all the way back to his days as a police officer, patrolling the streets of Atlanta with his BFF. It didn’t last long, however, and Rick found himself back in the present and a walker about to kill him. He managed to fight it and escaped with his horse. Yes, it may seem like Rick is invincible, but he has been fighting these zombies for several years, so it makes sense … kind of. Another ghost from the past Rick met was Hershel who told Rick it was okay for him to let go, and that Maggie was growing as a leader every single day. All of these visions seemed to want Rick to know that he could die and everyone would be able to move on if they had to. The most striking vision was Rick on a huge landscape filled with bodies, but the bodies were of everyone Rick’s ever been close to. It was harrowing for sure, but there was a beacon of hope in the form of the dearly departed Sasha. “’Cause you did your part like I did mine… like the others did before us,” she said. “They gave us the strength that we needed to do what we had to do for the others, and the others draw strength from us. We make each other better, and it never ends.” “It crosses over toward the brave and loving.” With that, Rick woke back up and was saved by Michonne and his friends, but he was not out of the woods. As he prepared to die, his girlfriend had some words for him. It’s not over,” she said. “We don’t die.” That’s when we learned that Rick was still unconscious and he imagined the reunion. He continued to try and take the zombies away from his friends. Rick found dynamite on the bridge with the walkers who were about to make their way to the other communities, so he blew the bridge up. Everyone was stunned by the loss of Rick, noting that he died a hero. However, he was well and truly alive down the river. Anne appeared and claimed she was going to save Rick from this horrible world. “It’s not a trick, not anymore. I’m trying to save a friend who saved me,” she claimed to the people on the walkie-talkie. “I have something for you now. We have a deal?” Rick and Anne were picked up by the chopper and taken well and truly away from the danger zone. What the eff just happened? As if that big twist was not bad enough, we were thrown straight into the future to meet a much older Judith who was leading the charge on a rescue mission. Southern Charm fans have borne witness the stunning rise and fall of Thomas Ravenel . Just weeks after his arrest stemming from sexual assault allegations, Kathryn has made her move in court. She’s asking the judge to modify custody and visitation for the couple’s young children. Us Weekly reports that, on Friday, October 26, Kathryn Dennis make a request at family court. She filed for a modification of custody and visitation. She and Thomas Ravenel share two young children, Kensie and Saint. At present, the couple share a 50/50 split of custody of their 4-year-old and 3-year-old. It looks like Kathryn is hoping to change that — and it’s not difficult to guess why that might be. Kathryn filed for this modification just one month after Thomas Ravenel was arrested for assault and battery . In May, Thomas was accused of sexual assault by two women. One of the accusations said that he had raped a woman after a date. Another said that he had sexually assaulted his children’s nanny, known to Southern Charm viewers as Nanny Dawn. It was from the latter accusations and a 2015 warrant related to them that he was arrested. Previously, Kathryn had actually lost custody of her children as the resutl of a failed drug test. She was battling substance abuse issues, and tested positive for marijuana (which is still illegal in South Carolina) and cocaine. This spring, after the accusations came to light, Kathryn quietly moved to amend the custody agreement. That is why she currently has 50/50 custody of the kids. It looks like, in light of Thomas’ arrest, she’s hoping that the court will grant her an even larger piece of the pie. Kathryn has had multiple opportunities to speak about the accusations against Thomas before. At the Southern Charm reunion special in July, she explained to Andy Cohen that she’d prefer to not comment. “I’m not going to comment until, I guess, it’s resolved, I think,” Kathryn said. Kathryn continued: “What I’m going to focus on is the children and staying out of it.” That makes sense, especially how conscious she must have been of her newly acquired shared custody. At the time, though, Thomas was only under investigation. In September, he was arrested. To be clear, Thomas has not been accused of being a danger to his children. But Kathryn — and the court — may fear that a man who can allegedly become a different, frightening person without warning is cause for alarm. And it’s probably worth noting that Nanny Dawn’s accusations are indirectly related to his children. Not only was she fired following her alleged assault, but she says that it happened very close in the house to where one of the children slept. Nanny Dawn says that she tried to keep quiet — instead of screaming — during the assault because she was afraid of waking that child. It was clear that the last thing that she wanted was for Thomas’ child to walk into the room and witness what he was doing. We do not yet know the details of the new custody arrangement that Kathryn is reportedly seeking. It is probably safe to say that she’s not looking for less time with her children. We would never claim to be experts in family law, but we’d guess that “my ex was arrested for a violent crime committed at home and accused of another” would get the court’s attention. Whether she’s seeking primary custody or to strip Thomas of any custodial rights remains to be seen. Kathryn may be staying vague and reserved in public, but in court, it looks like she’s going for the jugular. It has been clear for a while now that Lisa Vanderpump is less invested in being a Real Housewife these days. It seems that there’s some underlying beef with her fellow Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but they’ve mostly kept a lid on it. Now, however, multiple Housewives are letting their frustrations spill over into public comments. Over the weekend, Camille Grammer married David C. Meyer . Lisa Rinna, Dorit Kemsley, Teddi Mellencamp, and Kyle Richards were all in attendance at the ceremony in Hawaii. Lisa Vanderpump, however, was not. And fans definitely noticed. One fan commented on Kyle’s Instagram, demanding to know: “Why do YOU guys always [gang] up on LVP?” “This show will suck without her,” the commenter wrote. “But I’m sure she will be in all your mouths.” (To be clear, the commenter means that her name will be on their lips and is not suggesting either sex or cannibalism) Kyle Richards replied to that comment and was adamant that the claim is untrue. “NOBODY has ganged up [on] anyone,” Kylie insists. “Any report of that,” Kyle writes. “Is an outright lie!” “LVP has been invited to every single event that we each have been invited to,” Kylie continues. Elle’s Juicy Scoops shared some thoughts on Instagram about upcoming episodes of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills . “I predict a season with silly fights, little friction, and a lot of snooze in between,” the page predicts. “LVP grieving the loss of her brother in her own way, being distant and absent here and there, throwing some shade,” the page writes. The prediction then includes: “new alliances and attempts to gang up on LVP.” Lisa Rinna saw it and emphatically disagreed. “Why hasn’t Lvp filmed with us for over 6 weeks?” Rinna begins. “I have no beef with her,” Rinna claims before demanding to know: “Who does that? Who doesn’t show up for work?” “I too lost my father while filming,” she continues. “And I completely understand that everyone’s grieving process is just that their process.” “We have all reached out to her and we are all there for her,” she says. “She has chosen to not film with us,” “I too lost my sister to an overdose I have great empathy and I have been there,” she writes. “If you sign up to do a job you do it,” Lisa Rinna affirms. “No matter what. That’s show biz.” “I did it,” she continues. “Eileen [Davidson] did it when her mother passed away the day before the reunion.” In Rinna’s eyes, “You show up or if you can’t then you say I can’t and I’m going to take this season off to heal.” “But please don’t make any of us out to be bullies,” she says to fans. “We are not.” “We are here to film a tv show that we all signed a contract to do,” she concludes. “We wish LVP only the very best in her time of mourning.” We’re not sure that we buy that there’s no beef between Vanderpump and her co-stars. Rodin Eckenroth/Getty Images Tia Mowry To Star In New Netflix Comedy Series With Loretta Devine Tia Mowry and Loretta Devine are set to star in the upcoming series Family Reunion , a multi-generational, multi-camera comedy series exclusively for Netflix. The streaming network has given a 20-episode order to the project, which was created and executive produced by Meg DeLoatch and directed by Eric Dean Seaton. The series has just started production in Los Angeles and co-stars Anthony Alabi along with child actors Talia Jackson, Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Cameron J. “CJ” Wright and Jordyn Raya James. The new African American family sitcom is going to be written entirely by Black writers, and stars Mowry as Cocoa McKellan, a “free spirited, fun, conscious mother” from Seattle. When she and her former football-playing husband Moz and their four children travel from their home in the big city to the small town of Columbus, Georgia for the McKellan Family Reunion, they get acquainted with an extended family they didn’t even realize they were missing. Loretta Devine plays the role of a loving but strict matriarch of the family, M’Dear. Anthony Alabi plays Mowry’s husband, and the McKellan children are as follows: Jackson as 14-year old Jade, Russell-Bailey as 12-year old Shaka, Wright as 10-year old Mazzi, and James as 8-year old Ami. Melissa Cobb, VP of Kids and Family at Netflix commented on the series saying, “We look forward to bringing families together to enjoy the hilarious and heartwarming stories of this multi-generational American family living together and discovering the importance of connecting with their roots.” She continued, “Meg DeLoatch has created a warm, funny and memorable extended family that we believe will resonate with audiences around the world and she has assembled an incredibly talented all-black writers room to authentically portray these characters and their journey.” “I’m so excited to return to television, especially working with Netflix, and I can’t wait for everyone to see Family Reunion, ” said Mowry about the series. “I know my fans are going to love it!” That’s not the only project she has in the works, either. Mowry is also set to star in back-to-back Christmas movies this coming holiday season, My Christmas Inn on Lifetime and A Gingerbread Romance on Hallmark. She will also be in the feature Indivisible and currently stars in the Kin Community online serie s Tia Mowry’s Quick Fix. Cristy Caserta, a woman who vied for the heart of Brad Womack on The Bachelor Season 15, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday after suffering an apparent seizure. She was 38 years old. According to law enforcement officials, per TMZ, Caserta was attending a class at a school in Sunrise, Florida when she suddenly fell forward at the desk where she was sitting. Her alarmed classmates quickly dialed 911. Tragically, however, Caserta went into cardiac arrest as the paramedics arrived and administered CPR. She was transported to nearby Westside Regional Medical Center … where they continued efforts to save her, but it was too late. She was pronounced dead not long after her arrival. The police have said they don’t suspect foul play and that no drugs were found in Caserta’s system. An autopsy will be performed Friday to determine the official cause of death. This is what the Sunrise Police Department in Florida said about Caserta, who worked as an attorney: “The students around her noticed her coffee fell to the ground and thought maybe she fell asleep, but she was unresponsive when they approached her. “They called 911, and Fire Rescue showed up and started CPR and she was still unresponsive.” As mentioned above, Caserta was featured on Womack’s second season as The Bachelor. She was sent home during the first week. Stephen Carbone, the blogger behind the Bachelor spoilers site Reality Steve, paid tribute to Caserta on Thursday night, writing: “Sick to my stomach to see that Cristy Caserta from Brad Womack’s 2nd season has suddenly passed away. “Cristy was always there to give me legal advice in the past. I’m at a loss after seeing people post on her FB. Just spoke a couple weeks ago. RIP my friend.” In January, Caserta started a job working as a corporate lawyer for a healthcare staffing agency in Sunrise. She had worked as a lawyer at a different company during her time on The Bachelor and was granted leave to appear on the series. On the most recent episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County , Vicki Gunvalson was feeling very argumentative and accused Gina of being “selfish.” Vicki is trying to clear the air, now.
