As previously reported the Real Housewife of Atlanta and Dennis McKinley reportedly split after 8 months of engagement. The news comes amid rumors that the businessman cheated and after Porsha hinted that “mistakes” were made in their relationship. At the risk of getting too political on a celebrity gossip website, many American citizens are sick of waking up everyday to a new mass shooting in their country. They are sick and also tired of a passive Congress that refuses to enact any sort of meaningful gun control legislation. And, as a result, they are now turning to an unlikely source for assistance in this vitally important area… … Khloe Kardashian and her famous family members. On Saturday and then early Sunday, over the course of just several hours, two terrorists opened fire in major U.S. cities. The first killed 22 people inside of a Wal-Mart in El Paso, Texas, not long after publishing a racist creed in which he vowed to do something about the “invasion of Hispanics” in America. Around 1 a.m. the next morning, another terrorist used an automatic weapon to kill nine people on the streets of Dayton, Ohio. In response to these tragedies, along with the ongoing threat of mass shootings and gun violence in the United States, Khloe Tweeted the following over the weekend: As you can see above, Kardashian shared a chart that shows the stunning disparity in the number of mass shootings in the U.S. this year compared to other countries. And she included with it a number of broken heart emojis. Pretty simple and straightforward and not too polarizing of a response on her part, right? Yes, except some social media users out there have apparently taken out their frustrations regarding this entire situation on Khloe and her loved ones. “Your family has a lot of power. DO SOMETHING USEFUL WITH IT,” remarked on individual, for example. Others, meanwhile, asked for everyone to take whatever action they can, calling out people offering up only “thoughts and prayers” when such shootings occur. And at least person honed in specifically on Khloe and her daughter. Which is thoughtful and everything. But maybe a tad weird and inappropriate. Khloe and her sisters do have a great deal of influence, of course. It really has more to do with what sort of clothes their followers wear or what kind of makeup they smear all over their face. In the wake of a shooting in Florida in February 2018, though, Kim Kardashian actually did try to use her platform for good in this tragic area. “We owe it to our children and our teachers to keep them safe while at school,” Kim Tweeted after over a dozen people were killed in Parkland, Florida, adding: “Prayers won’t do this: action will. Congress, please do your job and protect Americans from senseless gun violence.” More recently, Kardashian and husband Kanye West have worked closely with President Donald Trump on prison reform, successfully securing freedom for convicted drug dealer Alice Marie Johnson. Elsewhere, Kourtney Kardashian has taken to Capitol Hill to lobby for cosmetics reform, calling last year for products to be safer for humans and the environment. Can these siblings actually affect legislation and/or the political world in general? It seems unlikely. Wendy Williams hasn’t always been the most sympathetic public figure, but you really feel for her as she fights back tears about her divorce . Even without the collapse of her marriage, Wendy has had a busy, stressful, nightmare of a year. In fact, she’d be the very first to tell you that filming the latest season of her show has been “hell.” Thursday’s episode of The Wendy Williams Show was the season 10 finale. “This season has been, well, hell for me, in a weird way,” Wendy confessed to her fans and viewers. “I appreciate doing this show,” she quickly assured them all. Wendy continued, saying that she loves her job “because it’s my one hour where I get to be fun.” “And,” she added. “Forget about stuff.” Wendy is the first to acknowledge that she’s been through the wringer. “You’ve seen me pass out this season,” Wendy reminded her audience. She added that “you’ve read [about me] in tabloids and the paparazzi and all that.” Usually, Wendy has a larger role in discussing entertainment news. In recent months, she’s been entertainment news. “But through it all, my one joy — aside from my son and my family — is you,” Wendy gushed to her audience. “I’m not doing this show forever,” Wendy acknowledged. “But I certainly will be back for season 11.” “A lot of people didn’t think we could do it,” she admitted. “But we did it!” And though she and the entire crew and staff of the show are on hiatus, we actually won’t have to wait too long before Wendy is back on TV. New episodes will begin to air, Wendy reveals, on “September 16.” “I love you for watching,” Wendy expressed. “And I’ll see you next time on Wendy .” Wendy really has been through so much, including an extended hiatus early this year. And Graves diseases is not the only health problem that she has faced this year. Months ago, she lived in a sober house to combat her struggles with addiction. On top of everything else, Wendy has been divorcing her cheating husband, Kevin Hunter — and reports say that it has gotten downright ugly at times. At one point, a report said that Wendy’s teen son got into a physical fight with Kevin, possibly over his stance in the divorce. It is possible that Wendy will spend her hiatus trying to double down on addressing her various woes. Divorce battles can take a lot out of you, even if you have Wendy’s kind of money — the kind that buys you a first-rate legal team. After all, divorce isn’t just about money and assets — it’s about feelings. Lots of complicated and very hurt feelings. (She and Kevin were married for more than 20 years!) it’s also possible that Wendy will do her best to distance her mind and feelings from the divorce during this time and just work on being happy as herself. Afton Williamson has had enough. The actress will be leaving ABC’s The Rookie , amid claims that she faced racial discrimination and sexual harassment while working on the show. Afton made the announcement yesterday while putting her executive producers on blast in a lengthy Instagram post. “I will not be returning for Season 2 of The Rookie,” Afton’s post begins. Afton, as Officer Talia Bishop, co-starred alongside Nathan Fillion throughout Season 1 of the police drama. She claims her mistreatment began as early as the original pilot. “Throughout the filming of the pilot,” Afton writes, “I experienced Racial Discrimination/Racially Charged inappropriate comments from the hair department and bullying from Executive Producers.” She says the bullying continued throughout the season, along with “Sexual Harassment from a recurring guest star.” Afton made the legally shrewd decision not to be specific about the identity of her aggressors. She also was not specific about the actions or language used against her, but obviously what happened is not okay. Working alongside great actors on a major network television show should have been a great gig. But no one at any job should have to put up with racist remarks or sexual harassment. There are supposed to be systems in place to prevent and correct this kind of behavior. In the corporate environment, this usually means taking your problems to the human resources department. But Afton claims that though she reported the harassment to showrunner Alexi Hawley, he never even passed her complaints along. “The Sexual Harassment though reported to the Showrunner/EP remained undocumented,” Afton says. She adds that the behavior “was not reported to HR as promised.” Because of his inaction, Afton’s harassment continued throughout the first season. Things reached their breaking point for Afton when the situation “escalated into Sexual Assault at our wrap party.” Now, The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Afton’s claims are finally being investigated by Entertainment One, the studio on production of The Rookie . At this point, it isn’t clear whether the studio began the investigation before or after Afton’s decision to leave the show. Either way, it may be too little, too late to clean up this mess. For Afton, as well as the series, the damage is done. It seems like both Entertainment One and ABC are mostly focused on damage control right now. They both want you to know that even though they let this happen and did nothing until a woman had to leave her job, that they’re taking this “very seriously.” “We take claims of this nature very seriously,” said a statement released by Entertainment One. The statement continues, “We have initiated an independent investigation which is ongoing, and as such, it would not be appropriate to comment at this time.” ABC released a similar statement, saying “The safety of working environments is a top priority for us, and we take this matter very seriously.” Just like Entertainment One, ABC is not quite ready to draw any conclusions or accept responsibility. The story is definitely still developing, but we hope both studios actually follow through and do right by Afton. We may even learn more today, once ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke meets with reporters at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour. Well, the internet called this one. According to reports from Page Six , it is finally confirmed that Ariana Grande is dating Mikey Foster of the pop duo group Social House. And apparently, the two “have been seeing each other for a while now,” an insider told the publication. Fans, who are truly the best detectives, began speculating their romance after they released the steamy music video for their new song “Boyfriend.” To be fair, there was some obvious chemistry between the two and um, hello, the title of the song is also a major give away! But after Grande released behind-the-scenes footage from the set, fans were even more on board with this new coupling. Grande and Foster shared some pretty playful and intimate moments, from flirting, to laughing, to touching — they made it pretty clear that they are crushing hard on each other. Ari even runs and jumps into Mikey’s arms at the end of the video, and although it could have been planned, it successfully portrayed a rather candid and sweet moment. And while the singers have yet to confirm their relationship, The Blast and Page Six have reported that they are, indeed, together. The Blast shared that their friendship has “taken a passionate new turn in the recent months” and even if they aren’t officially BF/GF, they may just be keeping things casual. Smart. But after a fan asked what inspired her to create the song “Boyfriend”, her explanation makes this information all seem pretty valid. “Well, i feel like the song captures a common theme in the lives of so many people i know! people want to feel love but don’t want to define their relationship & have trouble fully committing or trusting or allowing themselves to fully love someone, even tho they want to,” she shared. Yep, we’re convinced. This is the songstress’ first official romance since her split from Pete Davidson this past fall. After two mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio left dozens of people dead , no. 45 addressed the nation, calling the shootings “evil attacks” and crimes “against all humanity.” Trump — yes, TRUMP — said that our country needed to come together to “condemn racism, bigotry, and white supremacy.” Not for a second did any of us think Trump ACTUALLY cared, but his lack of concern was cemented when he sent condolences to the wrong city. “May God bless the memory of those who perished in Toledo, and may God protect them,” he said.
