XOXO? More like XOX… OH, YES! Horrible puns and forced segues aside, we now have confirmation that the previously-rumored Gossip Girl reboot is officially a go. It’s happening, Upper East Siders. It really is happening. A revamped version of this formerly beloved CW drama has been officially ordered and will air on HBO Max, the upcoming streaming service from WarnerMedia. The first season will be comprised of 10 episodes, each an hour long, and it will be written by Joshua Safran, an executive producer on the original series. Like The CW’s Gossip Girl, this new iteration will be based based on the book by Cecily von Ziegesar. Here is the HBO Max synopsis: Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl. The prestige series will address just how much social media – and the landscape of New York itself – has changed in the intervening years. Gossip Girl ran for six seasons from 2007 through 2012 on The CW, airing an astounding 121 episodes and making quasi household names out of heretofore unknown actors and actresses. As far as we know, none of these original cast members will return for the new version. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, considering Blake Lively, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick all seemed pretty happy to be done with the show when it finally ended seven years back. Each of these stars has moved on in his or her own way as well. Lively is married to Ryan Reynolds, comprising one half of what may be Hollywood’s most attractive couple. Badgley anchors the popular Netflix drama You. Meester starred on the recently-renewed ABC sitcom Single Parents. Crawford is probably looking for work. And Westwick has been accused of rape . “No one’s ever asked me,” Meester told E! News about a return to Gossip Girl earlier this year, adding several months back: “No one’s ever talked to me about it except for in interviews and I always say the same: I never say never, so I don’t know.” “No one’s sent me that information, it’s coming from you.” HBO Max is set to launch in the spring of 2020. The platform will be the exclusive home of Friends, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Pretty Little Liars and more programs. New shows from Kaley Cuoco, Anna Kendrick and movies from Greg Berlanti and Reese Witherspoon will also live on the streaming service. Source: gerenme / Getty 6-Year-Old Girl Dies During Daddy-Daughter Golf Day A little girl is dead after a daddy-daughter golf day went awry. The 6-year-old girl, identified as Aria Hill, reportedly accompanied her father to the Sleepy Ridge Golf Course and was sitting in a golf cart when her father hit a ball that struck her. From KCTV : Police say the ball struck the girl in the back of the head on Monday morning, while the father and daughter were golfing at Sleepy Ridge Golf Course in Orem. The ball collided with the base of her neck. Lt. Trent Colledge with the Orem Police Department says she was flown to a hospital in Salt Lake City in critical condition. She died from her injuries later that evening. According to the site, a GoFundMe page was created to help the Utah family out following Aria’s tragic death. So far, a little over $13,000 has been raised. “We are so grateful for all the love, support, and prayers made in our behalf during this difficult time,” a statement from the mother reads on the page. “We’ve truly felt comforted. Aria was the sassiest girl in the world. She was silly, spunky, creative, unique, and so so full of love for everyone she came in contact with. There is a huge hole in our hearts that she has taken with her back to Heaven…Fly high my little angel” May Aria rest in peace.

The Blast reports : According to documents obtained by The Blast, London filed to establish guardianship of her 2-year-old son, Kross Asghedom. London writes that Kross is “anticipated to inherit approximately One Million Dollars at the close of” Nipsey Hussle’s estate. The actress writes that she is the person taking care of the minor child, and will look out for his “best interests” as he receives the lucrative inheritance from his deceased father. Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman isn’t ever getting out of prison. Today (July 17), the infamous Mexican drug lord was sentenced to a mandatory life sentence, plus 30 years. El Chapo’s run is officially over. Reports CNN : A federal judge sentenced Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman to life in prison plus 30 years, according to the US Attorneys for the Eastern District of New York. The Court also ordered “El Chapo” to pay $12.6 Billion in forfeiture. Restitution will be determined later. Before today’s sentencing, attorney Mariel Colon — who has visited Guzman regularly in prison before, during and after his trial — said she is optimistic about his chances on appeal. El Chapo spoke at his sentencing, complaining about the conditions of his confinement and his inability to visit with his family. Last month, the notorious drug kingpin was convicted in the Federal District Court in Brooklyn on murder, drug and money laundering charges. It is believed El Chapo was involved in the delivery of tons of drugs to the United States. Reportedly , El Chapo will likely be sent to the United States Penitentiary Administrative Maximum Facility aka ADX, a supermax prison in Florence, Colorado. Considering he escaped from prison in Mexico twice, don’t bank on El Chapo making it a third while stateside.

Queen Bey released the visuals for The Lion King: The Gift ‘ s album’s first single “Spirit” and it’s definitely epic. The video was filmed at the Havasu Falls in the Grand Canyon, and styled by celebrity stylist Zerina Akers. In the clip, Bey flips outfits several times and her daughter, Blue Ivy, makes an adorable cameo in a sweeping shot. According to WSBTV, a technical error in the system has been duplicating old charges, putting charges on your record that you have already resolved. Coweta County officials have stated around 2,000 records were incorrectly sent to the state and they’re working to try to get this issue fixed.
