Source: Paras Griffin / Getty “112s” Slim Said Ex-Band Members Have No Right To Use Group’s Name To Make Music & Perform They once had a double platinum debut album, worked with hip hop royalty like the Notorious BIG and were the toast of the Atlanta club scene. But the current situation among the former band members of the 90s group 112 is now so fractious following their 2017 breakup that lead singer Slim has sued his fellow crooners for allegedly dishonestly cashing in on the group’s moniker. That’s according to a lawsuit from Slim’s company, M3 Productions Inc., which sued both Deron and Q for trademark infringement, false advertising, deceptive trade practices and more, claiming the men were using the name “112” to make music, book appearances and perform when Slim owns the rights through the Federal Trademark Office, according to the complaint, which was obtained by BOSSIP. “It breaks my heart to have to engage in a lengthy, costly legal battle against the former members of the group,” Slim told BOSSIP exclusively. “However, countless promoters and agencies have notified us that Q and Daron, and their handlers, keep advertising the ‘112’ Name, despite knowing we own the mark and have humbly asked them to stop using it.” Source: Gilbert Carrasquillo / Getty Slim’s lawyer James Walker said the situation was as if The Jackson Five’s Tito and Jackie Jackson tried to run off and do shows without lead singer Michael. Q “doesn’t seem to understand that he was the Tito of the group and Slim is the lead singer and owner of the mark – so move on with your career and respect the law and respect (Slim) as the owner,” Walker told BOSSIP. “We should not be in court, but for the continued false advertising, breach, infringement and bad faith of the defendants in using this mark on their advertisements.” Slim said in court papers that Q and Deron are well aware that he owns the trademark, and despite Walker sending them a cease and desist letter, the men still continue to book work under the name “112.” He said that his former bandmates use of the name “112” has caused confusion among fans, who wrongly assume that their work is actually associated with the real “112,” causing Slim irreparable harm. Slim wants the judge to force Q and Deron to stop using “112” when they perform shows, make music or attend paid appearances, his complaint states. He also wants a full accounting of the revenues Deron and Q made by using “112” as well as money damages. Walker, Slim’s lawyer, said neither he nor his client wished any financial hardships on Q, but said that he hopes the bankruptcy will mean that Q will be willing to meet with them and settle their dispute. “He would not be filing this (bankruptcy), had his advisors met with us and listened,” Walker told BOSSIP. “We pray that part works out, but we will move aggressively in the litigation to protect Mr. Scandrick (“Slim”).”

Like Rhaegal after an intense battle with White Walkers, Game of Thrones is sort of limping to the finish line. Opinion was mixed on Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3 , as fans seemed split on how the series brought the story of the Night King to a conclusion. But the takes are far less divided when it comes to Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 4 … for a whole host of reasons, starting with how the show has apparently devolved in a romantic comedy minus the comedy. Let’s Start with Brienne Get a few drinks (and something else) inside of Brienne and she apparently crumbles from a mighty knight to a scorned high school girlfriend. 2. Did They Have to Screw? The Jaime and Brienne dynamic had been one of our favorites on the show. Just a showing of mutual respect between unlikely allies and top-notch swordsmen. Why did the writers feel a need to throw them into bed? And to then have Jaime suddenly decide to go save Cersei? And then to reduce Brienne of Tarth into a blubbering mess after she got her heart broken? All in the course of like 10 minutes of screen time. Just… WHY??? 3. Can Jon Go Back to Knowing Nothing? Remember how Ned Stark held the secret of Jon’s lineage for like 20 years and then took it to his grave? And then Jon felt a need to spill it immediately to his siblings out of some weird sense of obligation? Yes, this happened. 4. And Then Sansa Kept the Secret for Approximately 27 Seconds We don’t blame her, really. We blame Jon for not listening to Dany. It would be one thing if Jon felt a moral need to tell the world and, essentially, let the voters decide. But he was totally fine lying about his heritage to everyone and taking part in a massive cover-up… as long as he could tell two people. 5. Now We Need to Talk About Missandei RIP and everything. Well, that didn’t last long. Shortly after David Eason murdered his wife’s dog last week, Jenelle Evans made a smart decision for possibly the first time in her adult life. She packed up her kids and got the hell out of Dodge. This was the right thing to do primarily because it’s not safe for Jenelle and her kids to share a roof with a mentally unstable gun nut who’s prone to terrifying fits of rage. But it was also the right thing because if David actually experiences some consequences for a change, maybe he’ll eventually feel inspired to turn his life around and become the father his kids deserve. Unfortunately, that’s the kind of slow transformation that simply doesn’t happen in the space of a single week. And we learned on Saturday that Jenelle is back living with David after a separation of less than 5 days. “Where else would she go?” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online. “She has a farm to take care of. She’s back to the house to take care of the kids. How do you expect her to leave?” Judging by the fact that the insider actually referred to Jenelle’s collection of weeds and neglected animals as a farm, we can assume it’s a friend of hers. (It may even be Jenelle herself.) So we can also assume that the informant knows what she’s talking about when she says Evans issued Eason an ultimatum before returning to the Land: She made him promise that he’ll get a job and attend marriage counseling. “He needs to get a job, which is what he promised her,” the source says. “They’re trying to work on the relationship. They are getting a marriage counselor. They need time to work on the marriage.” Obviously, it’s almost impossible to imagine David either holding down a full-time job or sitting through an entire session with a therapist without storming off with his bottom lip quivering like a petulant toddler. Perhaps that’s why Jenelle is refusing to fully reconcile with David until he makes good on his promises. The insider says Evans “not back with him” yet, and is merely living at home for the convenience of it. These are tense times in Columbus County, as Jenelle is reportedly fearful that David will be arrested for animal cruelty . There’s also reason to believe Jenelle will finally be fired from Teen Mom 2 for her role in helping protect Eason from prosecution. “No word on the network,” the source says. “She’s not fired as of right now, that’s for sure. I don’t think they would fire her. We have other options if she gets fired.” If Nugget lost his life but got Jenelle fired in the process then he is officially the great savior of our time.
