As previously reported Porsha welcomed Pilar Jhena with fiance Dennis McKinley five weeks ago and she’s promoting her “Porsha’s Having A Baby” special. According to Porsha who spoke to Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee and DJ Envy, she’s enjoying being a mom but she’s had some difficulty. After meeting with several lactations, she stopped trying to breastfeed her baby because she was having so much difficulty. Porsha told TBC that former frenemy Kandi Burruss actually comforted her and told her not to feel guilty for using formula to feed her baby. “Kandi was like listen, at the end of the day if she ends up on formula she will be alright, you’re still a good mom,” said Porsha. Porsha also spoke on her upcoming New Year’s Eve wedding to Dennis McKinley and revealed that they binge-watched “Family Feud” after lunch on their first date and yes, were intimate on the first night. According to reports, the UNC Charlotte campus is currently on lockdown after gunshots were heard near the Kennedy building. Per the Mecklenburg Emergency Medical Services Agency, two people were found dead at the scene while two others have suffered life threatening injuries. Two others have suffered gunshot wounds but are expected to survive. The suspect is currently in custody, reportedly a student according to WSOC . “Shots reported near Kennedy. Run, Hide, Fight. Secure yourself immediately,” the university said in an alert, referring to the school’s Kennedy building on campus. Fox has some good news for fans of Empire and also for embattled star Jussie Smollet: First, for viewers of this intense drama, the network has decided to renew it for a sixth season. Second, for Smollet itself, the network has decided NOT to bring him back as a regular cast member, meaning he has more time than ever before to orchestrate his next so-called attack . Sorry. Too soon? Executives have seemingly made a choice to pick up Empire for new episodes, yet have also made it clear that Smollett will not be returning. The statement issues by Fox is not as clear as it could be, however, leaving the door slightly open for the actor to one day reprise his role of Jamal. “By mutual agreement, the studio has negotiated an extension to Jussie Smollett’s option for season six, but at this time there are no plans for the character of Jamal to return to ‘Empire,” reads this message from Fox Entertainment and 20th Century Fox Television. The statement comes on the heels of quite a past few months for Smollett. When we last saw his character, Jamal was getting married and seemingly getting sent off with a happy ending to his story. He had been written out of the final two Season 5 episodes following a bizarre, controversial and downright confounding run-in with the Chicago Police Department. As you must know by now, Smollett alleged that he was the victim of a hate crime in late January, claiming that two white men beat him up and screamed racial/anti-gay epithets in his direction. After an investigation, however, police actually arrested Smollett for falsifying a report and making up the entire incident. Just when it seemed as if he would go to jail or go to trial for his role in this very strange “assault,” the charges against Smollett were dropped. And yet… even after they were dropped… the Chicago Mayor and even the prosecutor who chose to drop them made it evident in public statements that they believed Smollett was guilty. The latter simply didn’t think it was worth wasting more city money and resources of his prosecution. Or something. It remains very confusing what happened there. But the bottom line is that Smollett is a free man and that his co-stars recently made it very cleae they want him back on Empire. Consider THIS STATEMENT they wrote in Smollett’s passionate defense. Signed by Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson, Gabourey Sidibe and others, the letter runs down Smollett’s charitable efforts and includes a section that reads: It is why now, more than ever, we must stand together as a family. A family is there for us in good times and bad. It can cut through the noise and confusion to understand that there is a person in the center of all this who deserves nothing more than to move forward with his life. Due to the negative coverage surrounding Smollett, however, it appears as if producers and higher-ups do not agree. Why is there still a chance he does appear on Season 6? The city of Chicago has filed a civil lawsuit against Smollett . Officials are looking to recoup the $130,000 in expenses that it spent in investigating the actor’s alleged attack, while also trying to get on some sort of legal record that the guy is guilty as sin. Perhaps if Smollett comes out on top in this case, Fox will reconsider his future on Empire. But it seems like a long shot at the moment. Empire’ continues to break barriers with its emotionally powerful storytelling, and it remains a core part of the Fox legacy, said Fox Entertainment’s president of entertainment Michael Thorn. They added on Tuesday evening: We want to thank everyone on the show – Taraji, Terrence and the entire cast, as well as Lee, Danny, Brett, Sanaa, Brian, Francie, Dennis and their teams – all of whom have done a tremendous job this season. We know there are so many more stories to tell, and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for Season Six. Will you continue to watch Empire without Smollett?

The content on the horizon includes a range of scripted and unscripted projects for a wide range of audiences, as well as full-length features and documentaries. Priya Swaminathan and Tonia Davis–the co-heads of the organization–revealed the news on Tuesday, announcing seven projects that are in different stages of development to be released over the next several years. You can check out descriptions of the upcoming projects below: “American Factory” was acquired by Netflix in association with Higher Ground Productions out of the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Directing Award for U.S. Documentary. The film takes a deep dive into a post-industrial Ohio, where a Chinese billionaire opens a new factory in the husk of an abandoned General Motors plant and hires 2,000 blue-collar Americans. “Bloom” is a drama series set in the world of fashion in post-WWII New York City that depicts barriers faced by women and by people of color in an era characterized by both hurdles and progress. Higher Ground is also producing a feature film adaptation of author David W. Blight’s “Frederick Douglass: Prophet of Freedom,” for which he won the 2019 Pulitzer Prize in History. Adapted from the New York Times’ obituary column Overlooked, telling the stories of remarkable people whose deaths were not reported by the newspaper, Higher Ground is developing “Overlooked” as a scripted anthology series with producers Liza Chasin of 3dot Productions and Joy Gorman Wettels of Anonymous Content. For family programming, “Listen to Your Vegetables & Eat Your Parents” will be a half-hour preschool series from creators Jeremy Konner (“Drunk History”) and Erika Thormahlen. Source: Robert Kamau / Getty Soulja Boy Heading To Jail For 240 Days It might be time for Soulja Boy to turn his swag off, and put his prison face on. The rapper was just hit with a 240 jail sentence this week for violating his probation, according to a TMZ report . Soulja was originally arrested earlier this month after the judge said he failed to do his court-ordered community service and even conspired to falsify evidence he had completed it. Soulja Boy’s home in Agoura Hills was raided in February and cops found ammunition during the search. Cops had initially gone there to investigate a claim by one of his ex-girlfriends that Soulja tied her up and held her captive. SMH. In addition to the jail time, he is mandated to serve 265 of community service. The judge told Soulja he was originally considering sentencing him to 2 years in state prison but decided to give him some leniency. The judge also acknowledged that Soulja’s missed out on business opportunities while behind bars. Soulja is set to start the sentence right away and has credit for 40 days served.
As you’ve likely heard by now, the royal family has spent the last three weeks reeling over reports that Prince William had an affair with Rose Hanbury while Kate Middleton was pregnant. Rose is the Marchioness of Cholmondeley and a former close friend of Kate’s. These days, the two are on the outs for obvious reasons. Rumors of William cheating on Kate have circulated countless times in the past, and the couple has always weathered the storm with their grace and dignity intact. Of course, on those occasions, there weren’t quite as many signs pointing to William’s guilt. In an unusual move, William went to great lengths to bury the story , even having his lawyers send off threatening letters to UK publications that continued reporting on it. Unfortunately for Will, the British tabloid press has become quite adept at reporting on scandalous royal gossip while at the same time side-stepping libel laws. One common tactic is to report on the latest gossip by denying it — a savvy strategy that can be used to simultaneously fill the public in on the latest ramblings while covering one’s arse both legally and politically. (For some UK outlets, maintaining close ties to the royals is essential for survival.) That strategy is explained and deftly utilized in this in-depth Royal Foibles article which addresses the theory that Rose was the one to leak news of her affair with William to the press. The Foibles author points out that the “Rose as smoking gun” theory originated with one small American website called The Cheat Sheet. But then that same author states that “this little website is well informed.” Hey, bigger stories have been broken by smaller outlets. Of course, the situation begs the question of why Rose would blow herself in like that, especially since she’s also married. There are many possible answers, and the most common theory seems to be that she became uopset after Will broke things off. But in assessing the situation, it’s important ro remember how this story began. At first, it was reported as an feud between Kate and Rose . Kate reportedly committed herself to having Rose thrown out of her Norfolk, England social circle, and it was all a big mess. So could it be that Rose went to the press because she was pissed at Kate? 90 Day Fiance 's biggest, baddest spinoff, Happily Ever After? is back with Season 4. During the premiere, fans were alarmed by a clip of Larissa Lima taking the producers out of earshot and confessing that she fears for her safety. Now, Larissa's bestie, Carmen, has weighed in on the nightmare that Larissa was living. These days, Larissa Lima and Colt Johnson are living apart. They're divorced and are mostly, with the exception of a couple of legal conflicts, out of each other's lives. That's a relief, especially considering how their last fight ended — with Larissa's face smeared with her own blood. But Season 4 of Happily Ever After? was filmed before all of that went down, when they were still trying to make it work. The tension is mounting — and so is Larissa's fear. During a disturbing clip from the 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? premiere, Larissa is interviewed in her car. It's not so that they can enjoy the air conditioning — which Colt famously did not have. As TLC explains with a title card, it's because Larissa asked to speak away from the prying ears of Debbie and Colt. Larissa tells the producer: “I feel [deathly] afraid.” “If they hear something that I say,” Larissa fears. “My life will be hell.” “Something [is] wrong,” Larissa warns during the tense exchange. That moment, shown to viewers on Sunday night, was alarming. And now Larissa's bestie, Carmen, is weighing in via an Instagram comment. “Everyone will see how terrified she looks that day,” Carmen points out. She remarks that “even makeup could not hide her expression.” “She called me 4 times before this interview,” Carmen reveals. With the benefit of hindsight, Carmen wishes that Larissa had done more than call. “it is a pitty she didn't leave this house right there,” Carmen expresses. We can all agree with that. When another commenter, not realizing who Carmen is, demanded to know why Carmen was saying this, she explained. “I'm her friend,” Carmen writes. “She lives in my house.” It's true. Here's a photo of the two women standing together earlier this year. It's no mystery why Larissa was afraid. See, Larissa is loud and emotional. Part of that is inherent to who she is, while part of it may be cultural. Colt likes to try to present a calm demeanor, but many fans who find him “creepy” are picking up odd quirks in his behavior. Clearly, Colt and Larissa have had some nasty confrontations. On January 10 of this year, their final fight resulted in this: After this, Colt told police that Larissa had inflicted the wounds upon herself and had her arrested. But Carmen has previously stated that she has photos dating back from earlier in the marriage — evidence that this was not the first time Larissa was hurt. What we're seeing on Happily Ever After? right now took place before Colt's cheating scandal or their bloody, scary fight. Larissa was still trying to make it work, which was why they attended therapy together. And fans will get to see some of that play out on screen. We're just glad that everyone seems safe these days.

This is not a drill — get these suckers ready for some serious math I am about to throw your way because there may be another pregnant Duggar! And it may have been Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar’s fault for revealing the news! After Josh and Anna Duggar revealed to Instagram on April 26th that they’re expecting their sixth child , Jim Bob and Michelle left a questionable message in the comment section. The two included their five other kiddos (Michael, 7, Meredith, 3, Marcus, 5, Mason, 1, and Mackynize, 9) to help with their exciting announcement as Anna kept the caption sweet and simple. “As we watch our children grow and thrive — we look forward to baby six joining us this fall!” she wrote. And while fans celebrated the news, many were surprised and well, a tad flustered thanks to Jim Bob and Michelle. The couple — who birthed 19 kids together — congratulated Anna and Josh in the comment section, noting that they now have 16 grandkids in total! Hold up… that’s just not right. Considering the actual number is 15 (even taking into account the current pregnancies), fans are totally convinced that another baby announcement will soon be underway. Yep, it seems Michelle and Jim Bob just leaked some major news. Or maybe they just mistyped or miscalculated? Either way, nice going, you two! “We are so happy for Josh and Anna, expecting their 6th child and our 16th grandchild!” the couple wrote in a joint statement. But let’s double check their math, shall we? Anna Duggar rings in with 5 children + 1 pregnancy. Kendra Duggar offers us 1 baby + 1 more pregnancy. We are at 8, people. Keep up! Jinger Duggar and Joy-Anna Duggar tie for last place with 1 child. As Jessa Duggar gives us 2 kids + 1 pregnancy. Oh, and we can’t forget about Jill Duggar’s 2 little ones. All together that puts us at, yep, 15! Fans are absolutely losing it over the meaning of number 16. Some people think Joy and Abbie Duggar are likely shoo-ins, while others think Michelle just can’t keep her family straight. “I think it’s a toss up between Joy and Abbie for the next pregnancy announcement,” someone shared. “Also, Michelle probably barely knows her grandchildren’s names, let alone how many there are.” I must agree with them on that, but also we can’t dismiss the possibility of another future Duggar — because it’s not far-fetched in the slightest. Another commenter brought up Lauren’s recent miscarriage and the possibility that she could be pregnant again. “It would have been Lauren, but she seemed to indicate she wasn’t recently on Instagram. However, I fully expect any of them to announce at any time, so…” While all of these options are fair, it does make sense that Michelle and Jim Bob could have included Lauren’s miscarriage in their count of 16. According to Romper , the couple sometimes says they have 20 kids — in reference to their miscarriage in 2011. “It’s hard to believe Jubilee would have been 6 years old today,” Michelle and Jim Bob wrote about losing the pregnancy in the second trimester. “Jubilee is our 20th child who was stillborn. We so look forward to seeing Jubilee in heaven.” But if this were the case, wouldn’t they have included Anna’s miscarriage, which happened sometime before 2010? That would’ve knocked them up (no pun intended) to a total of 17 grandkids. Either way, it’s really none of our business nor our place to be stirring rumors about the family’s fertility. We are really just as clueless as the rest of you — but we do know that this is enough mental exhaustion for one day. HelloBeautiful: Can you tell me a bit about your character and what we can expect from the show? Emayatzy Corinealdi: My character on The Red Line is Tia Young. You’ll see in the show, as it goes on, you find out that she is connected to the main story of the show, which is about how the tragic shooting of this unarmed Black man by this White cop sucks the life out of these three different families. And my kid is apart of one of those families. Once everything happens, she realizes as a citizen of Chicago and as a mother, that she has to do something. So she decides to run for public office and in doing so, there are a lot of things in her past that come to the forefront that she didn’t see coming her way. But she’s a woman who decides, sometimes it only takes one person. And her way of doing that is to run for office. Whether or not she is successful, we’ll have to see on the show. HB: Your character is a hopeful politician, Black women walk through the world everyday making a political statement… Emayatzy Corinealdi: We are. It’s one of those things where when most of know we have to be better, we have to fight harder for the same opportunities. When doing so it just makes you hyper aware of that. In the society we’re in, it’s disproportionate. We have a justice system. We have a medical system, a legal system on the system. They’re not in our favor, you know, more likely than not it’s going to go the other way. As black women, we have to stand up and make change as much as we can. Years ago it wouldn’t have even been discussed. The lines have become more blurred with the rise of streaming. So with that, more opportunities do come and you do get the chance to have more complex roles like this one in The Red Line . Actors love the most TV really is offering that.
