Pennsylvania mom Jackie Carter is on a mission to save Black lives by any means necessary, so she created the “Not Reaching” pouch; a small, clear identification pouch that can be attached to the driver’s side air vent of the vehicle. She says she thought to herself that someone “has got to come up with a solution”, so she created the pouch, hoping would keep young men from reaching around their cars while looking for license and registration documents and setting off potentially dangerous interactions with the police. Carter told NBC News : “I’m more fearful [for my son] in a car here than [when he’s serving] in Afghanistan.” Meanwhile, a Washington, DC police officer noted: “Anything that you can’t see throws you into that red flag or heightened mode. But it should never lead you to just assume that they’re trying to kill you.” The pouch has sold more than 1,000 units since it launched three years ago, and Carter says she has given the product away to many drivers in her community. Source: WENN / WENN The divorce battle between estranged couple Tamar Braxton and Vince Herbert is still ongoing, and now the singer and media personality is seeking immediate single status. Braxton has requested a “status only” divorce to become legally single, but there is still much more to handle on the back end. The Blast reports : According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Braxton has asked the court for a “status only” divorce — meaning she and Vince Herbert would be legally single. They still have the usual support and custody issues to work out but Braxton makes it clear in the docs: “Petitioner seeks a dissolution of her marriage with Respondent based on irreconcilable differences. Petitioner believes there is nothing the Court can do to salvage or repair the marriage.” As The Blast first reported, Braxton has been itching to get her divorce settled for some time now. Last October, she asked a judge to grant her a default judgment in the case because Vince had been blowing off responding to her petition for divorce. The ugliness is over. And the celebration can now begin for Shannon Beador. Back on April 24, Shannon and ex-husband David agreed to terms on their divorce settlement, putting to an end one of the more vicious break-ups in recent memory. At the time, however, the details of this settlment were kept private, with fans asking the expected question of who came out on top, financially speaking. We now appear to have an answer. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, David has agreed to pay Shannon $1.4 million “to equalize the division of community property as set forth herein.” The former couple will also share joint legal and physical custody of their three daughters — and they both agreed not to move outside Orange County with the kids. Moreover, David pay Shannon $2,935 per month in child support, plus $7,065 for spousal support … for a total $10,000 a month. This is a huge figure, but it’s actually a drastic reduction from $22,000 she was being paid on temporary basis over the past few months. Reads the divorce judgment: “The parties shall communicate with one another to ensure the children are appropriately cared for at all times. “The parties shall cooperate to promote healthy parent-child relationships between each party and each of the children, and neither party shall make derogatory remarks about the other in the presence of the children.” The kids in question are 17-year old Sophie and 14-year-old twins Stella and Adeline. The reality stars split in September of 2017 after over 17 years of marriage and then Shannon filed to end their relationship in December of 2017. The romance was rocky even before it ended, with Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Orange County focusing on David’s admitted infidelity. The couple tried to repair its marriage on air through therapy and open dialogue with their family — but to no avail in the end. “The truth about the state of my marriage is that it’s not good,” Shannon said on an episode of this Bravo reality show, adding at the time: “I just want to know how David feels because living in this limbo, it’s kind of a form of torture. I just want to know.” Eventually, Shannon got what she asked for — but this information came in the form of David accusing his estranged wife of being a drunk . In March, Shannon won joint legal and physical custody of her daughters, along $22,500 per month for child and spousal support After having referred to David as both “disgusting” and a “nickel and dimer” in previous statements, Shannon may not be thrilled with this figure being slashed by more than half in the final settlement. But at least she’s now free from the constraints of her marriage. The settlement prevents the exes from having to go through with a scheduled trial and avoids Shannon from having David’s allegations made even more public, considering he said in the past that her drinking and her “behavior” were “detrimental to the children.” He also said on many occasions that she had gotten really fat. Among the things Shannon will maintain in the divorce: She will keep a 2015 Cadillac Escalade; a leased 2018 BMW7 Series sedan; her bank accounts; and household furniture and furnishings currently in her possession. David will keep a property near Corona, California; the Beador Construction Company; a 1998 Ford Expedition; a 2008 Ford Explorer; a 2011 Land Rover Range Rover SC; a 2017 BMW X3; a 2018 Ford Raptor Truck; a leased 2018 Porsche Carrera Turbo Cabriolet; a 2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV; and household furniture and furnishings presently in his possession. It’s the usual, Joc, Scrappy, and Kirk, but then Karlie Redd’s fiance, MO is in the mix too. Joc and Mo are cool despite what could be awkward circumstances. They keep it grown. Kirk then mentions that he and Rasheeda want to plan another couples retreat. Mo says he and Karlie Redd might, but in the meantime, has to go to Arkansas to “take care of some business” and the rest of them tell him they hope it works out. This is definitely loaded…and sounds shady. We’ve been here tons of time on this show, but anyway, hold that thought because it’s going to come back around. Let’s fast forward a bit. Che Mack is at Pooh’s house explaining how silly she feels for taking Pooh’s advice and trying to “expose” Karlie Redd at her engagement party. It took losing her job as a dj to do some self-reflection. Later on, Che mack is now working as a bartender since she lost her dj gig. Shekinah and Tokyo Vanity meet up with Che before a shift as a bartender to see wtf she was thinking at Karlie’s party. The general consensus is, Che Mack needs to apologize. Speaking of Karlie Redd, she’s dealing with some real ish. The doctor confirms what he already suspected. She’s having a miscarriage, and he’s devastated. Meanwhile, Moniece and Tiarra have respective conversations about Scrapp Deleon cheating shenanigans. Scrapp seems to have broken things off with Moniece while telling Teirra that he’s willing to try for the sake of their family. Heard that one before. Back to Karlie and Mo. Karlie did some snooping while Mo was gone and found some conversations with a woman in Arkansas so she plans to confront Mo, who plans to tell her what’s up anyway so it’s not really a confrontation. Mo explains to Karlie Redd that he was in Arkansas trying to take care of a DNA test situation. Basically, a woman from his past explained that she has his baby. Mo said he didn’t know the woman was pregnant and she just popped up. He plans to get a DNA test and he plans to take care of his child if it’s his. Karlie is livid, especially because she has been with men who have had babies on her. Mo seems genuine, and you know how hard that is to come by o this show. So, Karlie tells him to gtfoh and that they are done. In fairness, Mo actually seems genuine and like he’s telling the truth. Karlie is being hasty and unwilling to hear him out. Maybe she’ll come back around. Erica Dixon is pregnant with twins and kept it a surprise until she felt like telling her girls. She has an announcement party with her girls and then Che Mack comes waltzing in. Karlie is there too. Che Mack apologizes to Karlie and they call a truce. Karlie even apologizes for having been rude to her. Finally, the episode winds down with Moniece confronting Scrapp about him being caught kissing Tommy as well as Tiarra having a problem with her on social media, and al his other drama with women yatta yatta. Now Scrapp is changing his tune. He said he was never exclusive with anyone (but probably lead them all to believe that) but now he’s preparing to be a family again with Tiarra. Moniece is over it (for now) and that’s that. We all know Scrapp is still lying though. He’ll get caught again soon enough. See you next week. Peabo Bryson remains hospitalized in stable condition after having what’s being called a “mild” heart attack. A rep for Peabo told TMZ that the Grammy winner was at his home in Georgia early Saturday morning when he suffered the attack. His rep says he’s currently responsive and both his medical team and family are optimistic that he’ll make a speedy recovery. “At this time, privacy is requested; however, the thoughts and prayers of friends and fans are welcomed and appreciated,” Peabo’s rep told TMZ. Thoughts and prayers for the man who gave us “A Whole New World”—you got it, Peabo! Get well soon.
