According to the announcement obtained by Variety , the series “will go into the most intimate aspects of Wiz’s life,” containing archival footage from throughout his decade-plus-long career. The series is going to feature interviews with his family and closest friends. Wiz Khalifa: Behind the Cam is set to debut on April 17 — which lands right between the rapper’s performances at both Coachella weekends — with all five episodes becoming available worldwide on Apple Music. The trailer takes a different approach to that of most music documentaries, showing footage of a teen Wiz at an in-store meet-and-greet attended by one person, and rapping for a handful of people at a basketball court. His mother and longtime associates talk about his early drive and dedication, even when he was performing for hardly anyone — and of course the trailer ends with him rapping the same song later in his career for thousands of people. “Taylor Gang has been with me since the start, so I wanted to make something to show just how far we’ve come,” Wiz says, talking about his fanbase and creative crew featured throughout the limited series. Executive producer Michael Strahan spoke about the project, saying, “Wiz and I both share a passion for family, friendship and hard work, and that’s exactly what you’ll see from him in this series. We’re excited to team up with Apple Music and give the world an intimate look into the rise of an entertainment icon.” Check out the trailer for Wiz Khalifa: Behind the Cam below:
With his rugged good looks and casual demeanor, Tim Williams has won the hearts of travelers in search of affordable accommodations in countless commercials for Trivago. Unfortunately, it looks like Tim might be a bit too casual in his attitude toward consuming adult beverages and operating a motor vehicle. TMZ is reporting today that Williams was arrested — at 3:15 pm!!! — on Wednesday after Houston police found him passed out behind the wheel. Fortunately, Williams’ foot was firmly planted on the brake when he lost consciousness. According to TMZ, Williams was given a field sobriety test “which he bombed,” and was then taken into custody. During his time behind bars, Williams submitted to a blood test. It’s unclear what the results were or whether or not he took a Breathalyzer. Williams posted bond and was released after a few hours, but in all likelihood, his legal headaches are just beginning. As for the future of his employment with Trivago — that remains seriously in doubt: “At this stage, we do not have the full details of the situation, but we want to make clear that Trivago treats such incidents very seriously and strongly condemns drinking and driving which poses a risk to others and goes against the Trivago culture,” an official statement from the company reads. Setting aside the hilarity of the phrase “goes against the Trivago culture” (and the idea that doing so is as egregious as threatening lives), it’s a serious statement, and it sounds as though Williams is sure to suffer some form of discipline, possibly even termination. Williams has been a working actor since the mid-’90s and his credits include roles on The Sopranos and in the movie Valkyrie . But it was his role as the Trivago Guy that brought Williams national attention. Far more than the tyipical commercial spokesman, Williams brought a roguish and unexpected sex appeal to his ads for the online travel company, and at this point, he’s essentially the face of the brand. Obviously, Williams’ transgression is a serious one, and he deserves to be punished — still, we’d be more than a little bummed if this were the end of the Trivago Guy. The people behind the AMC Network’s slate of shows were in NYC this week for the AMC Network Summit, where they grappled with questions like “Who Gets To Tell The Stories in Hollywood?” in several panel discussions. The day-long convening at the Public Arts Hotel April 8 featured appearances by actress Sandra Oh of “Killing Eve,” Coleman Domingo of “Fear The Walking Dead,” “Star Trek’s” George Takei. Source: Getty Images for AMC / Getty Images for AMC Domingo, who also starred in “If Beale Street Could Talk,” said that box office blockbusters like “Black Panther” were successful because of their black casts and cultural references – and not in spite of them. “We all look back at Black Panther, which was epic – incredible storytelling, incredible heart, detailed, and human. And I think that’s why everyone responded to it in kind. To be that specific. I love how specific it was. Specifically very African-American, and very African as well. To trust that those stories are relatable to people of very different hues and backgrounds – because they’re just human stories.” For actress and comedian Tawny Newsome, of IFC’s “Brockmire,” television today has a level of inclusivity in it that means viewers from diverse backgrounds can finally see themselves on screen. Source: Getty Images for AMC / Getty Images for AMC “Now is finally the time when people like me are being talked about in terms that we use for ourselves, and we’re saying ‘Hey, I’m a disabled person,’ or ‘Hey I’m a Queer person,’ and these are the ways I like to talk about myself, and the ways I like to tell my story…It’s wild to see that half of the industry thinks of it as a time of censorship where I’m like ‘oh this is finally a time when I have space.’” And the star of IFC’s sketch comedy show “Sherman’s Showcase” Bashir Salahuddin said the need for diversity extends to behind the camera as well, and show writers need to have different perspectives. Source: Getty Images for AMC / Getty Images for AMC “You want to have a sense that the people [the writer’s room] are representing the people you’re talking about and are saying ‘we can make fun of ourselves about this,’” Salahuddin said. “It’s an immediate filter to make sure you’re making the right decisions and you’re not sitting here in a room full of people, making fun of another group of people who aren’t represented in that room.’”
Thursday’s Grey’s Anatomy was a nice change of pace. The action moved to New York with Amelia and Link as they made their way to the Big Apple with the aim of saving the life of a patient. Once there, Amelia ran into her sister Nancy, who stepped in for the chief of OB, meaning the two sisters had to work together. It was a strange twist of fate, and Nancy seemingly had no idea that Amelia was quite the powerhouse with a scalpel. More alarming: Nancy just assumed that Link was Owen. This solidified the fact that these siblings don’t spend any time checking in with each other. Amelia did not want to open up about her failed relationship with Owen. But Nancy urged her sister to have a family dinner with her, and the invitation was open to Link. Thankfully, Link was Team Amelia on this one. He was mad the family refused to support her, but Amelia wanted to prove she was the reliable one now. “This dinner is a chance for me to brag, prove them wrong, I’m not sure,” Amelia said. “I’m just sure that I have to go, and if you go with me, I’ll make it worth your while in very creative ways that you will enjoy.” Amelia’s other sister, Kathleen, showed up for the meal, and that’s when things got wild. Kathleen didn’t believe Amelia had changed, so she waited until Amelia was out of the room, and quizzed him. Link managed to dodge the questions, but the drama kicked into high gear when Amelia’s mother showed up, and she knew Link was not Owen. Amelia’s mood changed because she looked like a total liar, and she decided to come clean about the state of her relationship with Owen. The family revealed they had a bet on about how quickly the union would end, causing Amelia to wonder why she bothered. On top of that, they made jokes about her having a brain tumor. It was as awful as you would expect. “You don’t know me. You have not seen me in years. I am trapped in your mind and on your stairs at 14 years old,” Amelia shouted, adding: “I am sober, I am responsible, and I am a neurosurgeon at the top of my field.” Link realized he had to say something to defend his new girlfriend, and he was pretty awesome. “I’m new to all of this, and I haven’t known Amelia that long but I wanted us to stay for dinner tonight so you can get to know the woman I’m getting to know,” the self-proclaimed “ortho god,” said. “She is a brilliant surgeon. The kind you fly across the country when you need the best.” Amelia and Link then left the dinner party, clearly upset at the way things played out. When they returned to the hospital, their patient was flatlining, so they pressed on with risky surgery. Link did not want to do it, but Amelia was adamant; It could save their patient’s life, and it did. Amelia’s mom then showed up at the hospital, and the pair got chatting about their lives. That’s when Mrs. Shepherd revealed that she always knew Amelia was stronger than everyone gave her credit for. She finally gave her daughter the apology she should have several years before. “If you don’t think you’re worthy of love if you don’t think your love is valuable, you’re wrong. That’s on me,” she said. What did you think of this explosive episode? Hit the comments below. Grey’s Anatomy airs Thursdays on ABC.

Jersey Shore: Family Vacation stars Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio and Vinny Guadagnino recently sat down with noted plague enthusiast Jenny McCarthy. During the interview, they reveal that Mike Sorrentino's experience in jail has included rubbing elbows with some other famous criminals. Notably, he's become buddies with the scammer responsible for the Fyre Festival catastrophe. “Has he mentioned anything that's bad about it?” Jenny McCarthy asks of Mike Sorrentino's time behind bars. “No,” Vinny answers. “But he is in there with the guy from the Fyre Festival.” “Yep,” Pauly confirms. “And,” Vinny adds. “He's in there with the guy that leaked Jennifer Lawrence's nudes.” He clarifies: “Like, that hacked her phone.” “They play Scrabble together,” Pauly adds. This makes things a little awkward, as Jenny notes that this same scumbag “hacked my phone too!” “You want [Sorrentino] to tell him anything?” Pauly asks. Jenny certainly does. Notorious Fyre Festival scammer Billy McFarland may be extremely famous, but clearly, the phone hacker is personal for Jenny. “I have a whole list of questions for everybody,” Jenny expresses. But her interest zeroes in on the new friendship with McFarland. And Jenny even has some advice for the imprisoned reality star. “Tell Mike he’s got to get as much information on the Fyre Festival,” Jenny insists. She says that, with enough juicy intel: “He can write two books.” The boys agree. “Imagine what he's learning in there,” Vinny remarks. Pauly then jokes: “He's learning how to hack phones!” He is, of course, joking. No one should ever illegally access private photos on another's phone. But prisons are notorious for too often functioning as places where criminals refine their craft rather than reform. Billy McFarland's Fyre Festival was a fascinating catastrophe. It was the subject of two eye-opening documentaries. Netflix's documentary was controversial and arguably funnier. Hulu's doc was a deeper dive into the Fyre Festival and is widely regarded as having been more rigorous. Honestly? Both are good, in part because the disastrous festival is so fascinating. And because most of the victims are rich people who signed up for a rich-people-only festival, a lot of people don't feel bad about how things went down. We almost never say this, but … Jenny McCarthy is right. (About this particular issue … and almost only about this particular issue) Mike could absolutely write a book about his time in prison, and he has a massive fanbase who would be excited to read it. (He could of course hire a ghostwriter or even co-author it if he's not confident in his ability to physically write a book; it's not for everyone) Of course, if he writes it about McFarland, there could be some fallout. How much does he value this newfound friendship? Is it enough to turn down an opportunity to sell a bestselling tell-all book? Hopefully, the only thing that Mike is “learning in there” is a hard lesson that white collar crimes are still, you know, crimes. Vinny and Pauly were joking about him picking up new illegal skills. It's good to hear that Mike isn't miserable over his prison sentence, but he can't genuinely be having fun. Once he's out, he'll be happy to never again find himself in this … situation.
