F**K 12: Cops Release Body-Cam Footage Of Willie Bo Being Shot 25 Times While Asleep [Graphic Video]

Source: Nia Noelle / Nia Noelle The Disgusting Video Shows Multiple Officers Opening Fire Body-cam footage proves what’s already been reported about Bay Area rapper Willie Bo’ s murder . Twenty-year-old Willie, birth name Willie McCoy, was shot an estimated 25 times by Vallejo cops when the officers found Bo sleeping in his car at a Taco Bell. At the time, McCoy had a gun resting on his lap. According to The Guardian , McCoy’s family continually stood by claims that the officers murder Willie when he wasn’t even alert or awake. Now, disturbing body-camera video has been released, and it shows the young rapper had moved his hand to scratch his shoulder right before the officers opened fire. The videos were released to the public after significant pressure and they also show that: The officers didn’t try to wake McCoy or speak to him after they found the gun in his lap. Instead, they aimed their firearms at his head directly outside the vehicle as he slept for several minutes. One officer said, “I’m going to pull him out and snatch his ass.” The officers realized Willie’s firearm didn’t have a magazine in it, explaining to each other that if it was loaded, it would have a single bullet in it. “He’s only got one shot if he shoots,” one officer said. McCoy eventually made a move by scratching his should but not yet appearing alert. And all six officers STILL fired at him several seconds later. Trash. Trash. Trash. The police department in Vallejo, which is 30 miles north-east of San Francisco, repeatedly claimed that the six cops fired out of “fear for their own safety.” Footage clearly shows, however, that some of them were talking somewhat calmly for nearly five minutes before they unloaded their weapons. Two officers started shooting almost immediately after they arrived on the scene as backup. Police continually refused to release the body-cam footage to the public. Only three relatives of Willie initially got to see the footage in a private viewing. The police department then randomly decided to publish the video on Friday without even warning the family, according to one of their attorney’s, Melissa Nodd. “It’s just a continuing of the insult to injury, the continuous disrespect,” she said. “They’re having to relive it without warning. It’s cruel.” Meanwhile, another lawyer for the family, John Burris, said he plans on filing a civil rights lawsuit against the cops and the police agency. If you want to witness the graphic video for yourself, you can watch it below.

Family Of Authors To Launch Animated Travel Adventure Series

A Delaware-based mother and her three children are serving #FamilyGoals through the power moves that they’re making in the literary industry. Jennaye Fennell and her kids—whose ages range from 10 through 15—are all published authors and they will soon be transforming their books into an animated series, Black News reported. Jennaye Fennell and her 3 children are all successful published authors, and are planning to soon launch an animated series based on their books! #blackpreneur #shopblack #supportblackbusiness https://t.co/CsgwUOqosa — Black News (@BlackNews) March 29, 2019 The family created a series of illustrated books for young readers dubbed Fennell Adventures . The collection of books chronicles the adventures of young travelers as they visit places like Cuba, Hawaii, Atlanta, Texas and New Orleans. The books were inspired by trips that Fennell and her children—10-year old Merl , 11-year old Jace , and 15-year old Jiyah —have taken. Fennell, who is an elementary school teacher, has made it her mission to ensure that her children saw places outside of their inner-city community and wanted to create the books as an avenue to share what they’ve learned about different cultures with other children. She’s taken her children on trips to several U.S. cities and they’ve also traveled to Spain, France, and Italy. “I grew up in the inner-city with just my mom raising me, so we couldn’t go many places,” she told Delaware Online in an interview. “I wanted to go to those wonderful cities I heard about and vowed I would one day travel the world.” The first installment of their animated series highlights her son Merl’s trip to Hawaii. They are planning on producing more episodes and hope to land a deal with a television network. Projects like the Fennell Adventures series are needed. There is a lack of racial representation when it comes to children’s animated series. There are many Black content creators who are trying to change that. Film director Matthew A. Cherry recently inked a deal with Sony Pictures Animation for the creation of a film called Hair Love which promotes hair positivity among Black youngsters and also defies stereotypes about Black fatherhood. 21 Savage Visits Atlanta School To Talk About Financial Literacy

Excerpt from:

H ip-hop artist 21 Savage is using his platform to spread awareness about the importance of financial literacy among the youth. The rapper—whose real name is Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph —recently visited a school in DeKalb County, Georgia to speak about making smart money decisions, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. . @21Savage even committed $100 to each of the young people who attended the event to open up their bank accounts. https://t.co/LBAoHFPKrP — AJC (@ajc) March 25, 2019 He surprised students at the Camp Jewell House Academy. His visit was a part of his Bank Account Campaign—that he launched last year—which aims to teach the youth about money management. Joined by U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson , the “Bank Account” rapper spoke to third and fourth graders about making informed and effective decisions when it comes to their finances. “For most kids, the focus is on earning money. And while that is important, to really get ahead you need to know how to manage your money, not just make it,” said Abraham-Joseph in a statement, according to the news outlet. “As I have gotten smarter about financial management, I realize how important it is to control your money rather than be controlled by it.” The students not only received “Stack Your Money” badges for participating in the workshop, but they also were gifted $100 for opening their own bank accounts. During his visit, he also spoke about other topics like the value of education and gun violence. Abraham-Joseph is making impactful moves on the philanthropy front. He recently teamed up with the nonprofit organizations Juma and Get Schooled for a collaborative effort to provide 150 students in Atlanta with job opportunities and host more financial literacy workshops. “I didn’t know nothing about bank accounts until I was probably about 24. So I feel like that set me back a little bit as far as getting my money in order and managing my money,” he said in an interview with Mic . “We need to start introducing them to this type of stuff at younger ages so that by the time they’re grown, they already got it down pat.” SEE ALSO: NFL Player Brandon Copeland Teaches Financial Literacy Course At The University Of Pennsylvania Millennial Entrepreneur Aims To Promote Financial Literacy In Underserved Communities Through App [ione_media_gallery src=”https://newsone.com” id=”3849460″ overlay=”true”]
