The Ladies Discuss NeNe’s Closet On The RHOA Aftershow Another day, another bit of drama surrounding that closet calamity . After NeNe went OFF about Porsha and Kandi exploring her closet and (possibly) put her hands on Porsha seemingly snatching her belt , the ladies of RHOA reacted to the scandal. According to NeNe, she was flummoxed that women she invited into her home for her “Bye Wig” party had the audacity to invade her personal space. “I changed and didn’t even realize I changed,” said NeNe. I went ape on they a**, I was just so irritated that these girls would come to somebody would come to someone’s house and start opening up their drawers. Kandi, however, had no idea it was even that serious but she’s remorseful. “I got the fact that she thought it was off limits but I think she was moreso upset about the cameraman who followed us into the closet,” said Kandi. After we came out the closet I was like ‘Okay I’m getting the hell up outta here.’ NeNe comes rushing down the steps and I’m just trying to keep things calm, I felt bad that I was part of the trigger.” This is FOR SURE going to be a hot topic of discussion at the reunion. YOU tell us; did NeNe overreact about her closet?
Source: Handout / Getty R. Kelly Rationalizes Why He Stopped Paying Child Support R. Kelly was released from jail this weekend after some heada$$ enabler paid the $160,000 child support that was in arrears. Today, we find out why Robert was so far behind despite the claiming to Gayle King that he wanted a relationship with his children. According to TMZ , sources close to Robert say that he stopped paying child support to spite his ex-wife Drea Kelly. The singer believes Drea “brainwashed” the kids and turned him against him. Which, ironically, is the exact same thing that the parents of his *alleged* victims have said about him. This withholding of money just goes to show how stupid Robert really is. Taking away the money your children need to live in order to punish your ex-wife makes no sense whatsoever. Kelly “scraped together” the cash to get out of jail thanks to an unknown “benefactor”. He had been paying $20,833 since January 2009 but fell off the wagon HARD last year. Drea and Robert have conflicting stories about why he doesn’t have a relationship with his children, both blaming each other for changing their phone numbers. Drea says she’s down to allow Robert to see the kids but she hasn’t heard from him since 2017 after she went public about his abuse of her. Robert’s life is an absolute f**king mess. Just put him in prison already.
Jed Allan, a long-time soap opera star who also appeared on many episodes of Beverly Hills, 90210 as the father of one of the show’s main cast members, died on Saturday night. He was 84 years old. The actor’s son Rick Brown broke the sad news on Saturday with a moving Facebook post on a fan page dedicated to his dad. “So sorry to post the very sad news of my father’s passing tonight,” Brown wrote to followers, adding simply: “He died peacefully and was surrounded by his family and loved so much by us and so many others.” The cause of death is unknown at this time. Allan was likely best known for his starring roles as Don Craig on Days of Our Lives and C.C. Capwell on Santa Barbara; at least among fans of daytime drama. Others may remember him best for his role plasying Steve Sanders’ dad, Rush Sanders, on Beverly Hills, 90210, the iconic Fox series on which Luke Perry also starred. (Perry, of course, died last week of a stroke at the age of 52.) In a touching tribute his fictional father, Ian Ziering shared a photo of the pair smiling together as their father-son characters. And he wrote the following as a caption: “So sad to hear we’ve lost another 90210 classmate. I had the pleasure of working with Jed Allan from 94 to 99. He played Rush Sanders, Steve’s father. Such a great guy to work with, he will be missed.” Across a career than spanned six decades, Allan also appeared on shows such as Lassie, Columbo, Adam-12, Love, American Style, CHiPs and many, many others. In another tribute, soap opera star A. Martinez, who shared a screen with Allan on Santa Barbara, remembered the actor for his “fearless” workthis link opens in a new tab as well as his “generous support” over the years. This is what Martinez wrote to honor Allan: Jed was a pro’s pro in every sense, and an inspired artist in the moments when the red lights came on — he was fearless, and his work moved millions. I first met him in the early seventies, when his son Mitch Brown and I were cast mates on the TV series, The Cowboys. With his effervescent wife Toby at his side, he quietly asked me to keep a watchful eye out for Mitch, as it was his first gig. Jed was already a star by then, and he was as warm and articulate and charming as anyone I’d ever met. A decade later, when he came to Santa Barbara, the show finally began to find its eventually glorious stride. I LOVED working with him, as did everyone else who got the chance. Years later, he visited me backstage during the difficult run of a play I was doing — offered typically generous support — and then spoke of the loss of Toby, the love of his life, who had passed away shortly before, with literally no warning. (It was hard to imagine a human being missing another more…) In my dream, the two of them are dancing together again tonight — a great comfort to all who’ve known and loved them over the years. Condolences now to their wonderful sons, and gratitude to Jed for his unerring joy in the telling of stories, and for offering always the embrace of his massive heart. Jed is survived by his three sons from his marriage to Brown, who died in 2001. May he rest in peace. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2019: In Memoriam
A study released by the USA Swimming Foundation revealed that 64 percent of Black children don’t know how to swim. Furthermore, 79 percent of children who come from low-income families are at risk of drowning because they lack swimming skills. Olympic swimmer Simone Manuel is aiming to change that narrative and save more lives. Manuel recently visited LeBron James ’ I Promise School in Akron, Ohio to talk with students about water safety and encourage them to learn how to swim, SwimSwam reported. Manuel’s visit was in partnership with the Akron Area YMCA and the USA Swimming Foundation. The foundation plans on providing students at the school with free swimming lessons in June 2019. After visiting the school, Manuel took to Instagram to share her excitement about making an impact in the lives of these children. “My heart is happy and filled with joy! So honored to visit I Promise School to share my experience and talk about water safety and the importance of learning to swim!” she posted. “Many thanks to @usaswimming foundation and @akronareaymca for partnering with me to provide swim lessons at a week long camp in June 2019 for every student! Working to change the statistic and give the life saving gift of swimming.” She has continually used her platform to spread awareness about the high drowning rate within the Black community and is working hard to reverse the alarming trend. “The most important thing is saving lives more than winning gold medals. Representation is important,” she told the Mercury News after competing in the Olympics. Manuel has broken barriers in the realm of sports. In 2016, she became the first Black woman to win an individual Olympic medal in swimming. Through her work with the USA Swimming Foundation, she’s inspiring Black and brown children to follow in her footsteps. N FL player Brandon Copeland is using his platform as an avenue to spread awareness about the importance of financial literacy. According to CNBC , while Copeland is in the off season he’s leading a seminar about how to manage finances at the University of Pennsylvania. NFL player who saves nearly 90% of his income teaches a money class at Penn called 'Life 101. https://t.co/12uAsa6KDv — CNBC Make It (@CNBCMakeIt) March 10, 2019 The class that Copeland is teaching —which he calls “Life 101”—explores how to navigate everyday financial situations, including planning for retirement, building credit, and making smart investments, the news outlet writes. The New York Jets linebacker has been dedicated to creating a strong foundation for himself outside of the NFL. Copeland, who graduated from the Wharton School, worked on Wall Street two years ago during the off season and co-founded a real estate company with his wife in 2018. “I don’t care if you’re an engineering student, a nursing student, if you’re going to build rockets when you grow up or if you’re going to sweep floors. You’re going to have to use something in this class,” he said in a statement, according to the news outlet. “The point of this class isn’t for me to tell you how to spend your money. It’s for you to understand what spending your money is doing for you.” Copeland—who inked a $1.2 million contact with the Jets last year—saves and invests nearly 90 percent of his salary. 60 percent of his income goes towards investments and 30 percent goes into his savings. He says he knows football won’t last forever and wants to make sure that he is financially secure when he’s no longer playing on the field. There have been several platforms created to bring attention to the significance of financial literacy. Last year 29-year-old entrepreneur Sheena Allen launched CapWay as an avenue to make banking fair and accessible for underserved communities. Through the app, Allen hopes to change perspectives surrounding spending habits. I love performing for my fans,” she explained following the announcement. “I’m more excited than you are before the show. These two cities that had technical issues were cities I’d never been to before. We tried to add them, but they just didn’t have the power in the building to facilitate my show and they didn’t tell us that until three hours before the show as opposed to once we did sound check, they said that it was fine,” she continued. “But anyway. Every artist, every artist, has technical difficulties and has to cancel shows. I want to tell you guys that I love you dearly and I really hope to make it up very soon.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Barbie® (@nickiminaj) on Mar 9, 2019 at 4:13pm PST The rapper also took to Twitter to give us some thoughts on the current situation, calling out people who are skeptical of any actual “technical issues” who think Nicki’s cancellations might be for different reasons. She insists that her and her tour mate Juice WRLD are just as excited for the show as the fans are and it’s not in her best interest to lose money. Why would an artist cancel a show & lose money? What for? When they’re already in the building, dressed, etc. The artist is just as mad as the fans when a show can’t go on. I love seeing my fans. Nothing can stop me. B4 the show, juice WRLD & I are just as excited as u guys are. — QUEEN (@NICKIMINAJ) March 9, 2019 Meanwhile, footage has surfaced of angry fans leaving out the arena and retaliatorily chanting “Cardi B.” Nicki Minaj’s fans at her recent show chant “Cardi B” and boo her as the show gets cancelled due to technical difficulties. pic.twitter.com/aJO04rv5sS — Pop Data (@ThePopData) March 9, 2019 Nicki Minaj is touring in Europe through the end of March.

SNL Spoofs R.Kelly Interview Many parodies of R. Kelly ‘s emotional interview with Gayle King have been made already, but SNL’s spoof was certainly one worth watching. Kenan Thompson took on the role of Kelly while Leslie Jones hilariously played Gayle in the show’s opening skit and they didn’t miss a beat. But that wasn’t the end of the R. Kelly talk on Saturday’s show. SNL cast member Pete Davidson gave his two cents on the pied piper’s recent antics saying “If you support the Catholic Church, isn’t that like the same thing as being a R. Kelly fan? I don’t really see a difference, only, like, one’s music is significantly better. Look, I’m not saying it’s an easy decision, I’m just saying, you don’t know how good someone’s music is until you find out they’re a pedophile. “And the reason everyone’s so upset is because R. Kelly and Michael Jackson made great music. If I found out Macklemore did some weird stuff, I’d be happy to free up the space on my iPhone.” LOL. Check out the full skit above.
