Last November, we reported that 90 Day Fiance star Ashley Martson had been kidnapped and brutally attacked when she was 19. Now, Ashley is speaking up on Instagram and inviting her fans and followers to hear the grim story of her survival story. This is a huge step for her, and she even released a statement about how she’s no longer afraid to address her trauma. First of all, Ashley explains why she decided to get ahead and leak her story through blogger John Yates late last year. “I wasn’t sure how the other tabloids would portray me,” Ashley explained at the time. She added: “I knew he would post it with the with dignity and respect with the understanding that this is a very sensitive subject.” And, she revealed, she had been warned that an old “friend” already planned to leak the story of the brutal 2005 assault. “People are disgusting,” she correctly observed. “Sending this story to tabloids shows how s–tty people really are.” In 2005, Ashley was near her car outside of work when a man, Sean Patrick Gallagher, attacked her with a box cutter and tied her up. He took her elsewhere in her own car. In a small athletic field, he stopped the car, terrorized her, and sexually assaulted her. He could have — and may have been planning to — end her life. Only 19 at the time, Ashley mustered the incredible courage to fight back against he armed monster. She struck him with a bag and used her own teeth to chew through the zip-ties that had bound her hands so tightly that they were discolored. Ashley made a run for it, on foot, sliding down an embankment and wading across a creek to get away. Gallagher was eventually identified with DNA evidence. He was already in prison at the time. At his trial, Ashley did not hold back when it came to scolding him for fighting the charges, forcing her to relive her horrific trauma. In 2009, after Ashley’s testimony, it took only 90 minutes for the jury to convict. He was found guilty of kidnapping, rape, involuntary intercourse, robbery, and terroristic threats. Last November, it was John Yates who shared the story — at Ashley’s request — to get it out in the open, the right way. Now, Ashley is addressing the topic herself on Instagram. “I was kidnapped and almost killed,” Ashley acknowledges. “But,” she continues. “I’m no longer afraid to speak out.” She then directs people to read about it. There isn’t exactly new information, since it’s been public knowledge, but her statement is brand new. Ashley has known a lot of awful experiences in her life. Kidnapped at 19. And she continues to battle Lupus, a devastating and chronic autoimmune disease that threatens her life. Leaked text messages appear to accuse her ex-husband, Jay Smith, of sexually assaulting her while she was recovering from a medical treatment. There is no limit on the horror that one can experience in a lifetime, but we hope that Ashley never relives any of these nightmares again. Ashley is a profoundly strong woman. Source: South_agency / Getty A Black Las Vega s man was arrested last week after police initially stopped him for not having proper lighting and reflectors on his bicycle. According to reports, 50-year-old Byron Lee Williams raced off with the officers giving chase, but the man died in their custody after they subdued him. Local outlet KTNV reports : The incident began shortly before 6 a.m. near Bonanza Road and Martin Luther King Boulevard. Asst. Sheriff Charles Hank said that patrol officers from the Bolden Area Command came across a man who was riding a bicycle without a safety light. When they attempted to stop him, he took off. The patrol officers began chasing him. Initially the man, who has been identified as Byron Lee Williams, was still on his bike but then he began trying to escape on foot. The officers were eventually able to catch up with him and told the man to get on the ground. While being cuffed, Williams told the officers he couldn’t breathe. As they were taking him to the patrol car, Williams appeared to pass out. Officers called for assistance and the Las Vegas fire department arrived several minutes later. Medical personnel began treating Williams on the scene before transporting him to Valley Hospital. Williams was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The family of Williams is demanding answers in the case, most notably wondering why officers cut off their recording equipment while also ignoring Williams’ pleas that he could not breathe. Officials in Las Vegas are examining the incident, which took place last week Thursday. We’re watching the body camera footage showing the @LVMPD arrest of Byron Lee Williams. He later died. According to Anchorage Daily News , a Dimond High School swimmer was stripped of her victory last Friday after she was disqualified for a “uniform violation.” The National Federation of High Schools rule says that boys must cover their buttocks while girls must cover their buttocks and breasts with their suits. An official who oversaw Friday’s meet said the referee who disqualified the girl said she could see “butt cheek touching butt cheek.” This was the teen’s one disqualification out of the four races she competed in. Annette Rohde, an official who was present at the dual meet between Dimond and Chugiak, said she “froze in disbelief” when she witnessed the disqualification decision by the referee. “I told her, ‘I need to know how you’re defining this, because this is going to blow up,’” Rohde said. South High swim coach Cliff Murray explained that Anchorage High School coaches were told “that as far as the buttocks region goes, you should not be showing any part of the intergluteal cleft.” He continued, “If you’re in a situation where your suit creeps up, somebody comes over to a coach and says ‘hey, you’ve got an athlete who needs to adjust his or her suit,’ and they have that opportunity to fix it. And if they don’t, there are ramifications.” The school district explained that the disqualified swimmer “ was wearing the approved, school-issued suit during the race.” When news of the disqualification hit the swimming community, West High coach Lauren Langford slammed the decision in a Medium post, saying the girls’ bodies are being “policed.” She continued, “These young swimmers aren’t being punished for wearing their suits in scandalous or provocative ways, but rather, because their ample hips, full chests, and dark complexions look different than their willowy, thin, and mostly pallid teammates. Some will argue this scandal has nothing to do with race. But the issue becomes glaring when officials are overheard acknowledging that white athletes are baring too much skin as well, yet they’ve never been disqualified for a similar violation.” According to KTUU, the disqualified swimmer in question, 17-year-old Breckynn Willis, is of mixed race and is considered one of the school’s most promising athletes. “She’s one of three girls on the Dimond team who look like her,” said Langford . “Everybody else is in same suit, sized to fit, and yet on a team of however many girls she was the only one that got singled out?” Luckily, people in power took into account the backlash and according to Anchorage Daily News , Willis’ disqualification was overturned on Tuesday by the Alaska School Activities Association, the group that oversees Alaska high school sports. They made their decision based on the rule that says when an official finds a uniform violation, they must notify the swimmer’s coach. The ASAA said in a statement, “All evidence gathered, including the statement provided by the official, indicated the official did not notify the coach prior to disqualifying the student.” The Anchorage School District also called the decision to disqualify Willis “heavy-handed and unnecessary” and was “based solely on how a standard, school-issued uniform happened to fit the shape of her body.” They continued, “We cannot tolerate discrimination of any kind, and certainly not based on body shape.” The district said they’re seeking to have the ASAA decertify the official who disqualified Willis and they want revisions to the uniform rule, saying the National Federation of High Schools swimsuit coverage rule “is ambiguous and allows the potential for bias to influence officials’ decisions.”

Kahn made his statements in a Comedy Hype interview on YouTube. He said Richard Pryor Sr. was so upset with the alleged assault that he put out a $1 million hit on Mooney. Richard Pryor Jr. was reportedly a minor at the time Kahn said the assault happened. Paul Mooney denied the allegations with his publicist, Cassandra Williams, releasing a statement : “There is no validity to Rashon Kahn’s statement as it relates to Mr. Paul Mooney.” Now, Mooney’s sons, Dwayne and Daryl Mooney, are calling foul on Kahn’s allegations as well. In a series of spirited interviews with Comedy Hype they addressed the allegations that their dad molested Pryor Jr. and they addressed rumors that their dad was gay. In the first video that dropped on Tuesday, Dwayne and Daryl first acknowledged that their dad was ill. Then, in response to Kahn’s allegations, Dwayne said, “Ya gonna listen to a goddamn bodyguard,” to which Daryl replied, “It’s usually the maid that tells the business, not the bodyguard, good lord.” Daryl then went on to say “Rashon, fu** you, okay. Coming out with some bullsh** like that when Paul is ailing after he’s old. If the sh** was hot you should’ve told that sh** years ago. Richard Pryor Jr. ain’t say nothing about it, so how you gonna tell somebody’s business.” Richard Pryor Jr. has alluded to a relationship with Mooney in a fast street interview with TMZ. He said, “Whatever happened in my life, it happened when I was young. Way before the ’80s.” When the cameraperson asked if his alleged relationship with Mooney was consensual, Pryor replied, “How can any relationship be consensual if I was a teenager?” He refused to elaborate on the subject after this. The Mooney brothers peeped the TMZ interview but still maintain that Pryor Jr. never mentioned Paul Mooney by name. In regards to the accusation that Richard Pryor Sr. put a hit on Paul Mooney, Dwayne responded, “Richard Pryor was high every goddamn day. He probably put a hit on everybody. He probably put a hit on his momma.” In another Comedy Hype video posted on Wednesday, the Mooney’s were asked about rumors that their father was gay. Daryl responded, “I don’t know, he ain’t never tried to fuck us. How we supposed to know?” He continued, “They used to say a whole lot of folks was gay. That’s Hollywood. There’s a whole lot of folks in Hollywood who are gay, there’s a whole lot of folks in Hollywood that you think are gay that are not gay.” When asked what the response would be if Paul Mooney turned out to be gay, Dwayne said, “I don’t think it would be a big deal.” Daryl added, “Does it matter if he’s bisexual? Disgraced Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel finished his custody battle with Kathryn Dennis in something of a stalemate. But that doesn’t mean that he’s out of the woods when it comes to the very serious accusations of sexual assault. This week, Ravenel reported back to court — and entered his guilty plea. On Wednesday, September 11, Thomas Ravenel appeared in a Charleston courtroom. There, he entered a guilty plea to the charges of third degree assault and battery. His sentence? 30 days in prison. Additionally, the judge suspended the jail time, changing it instead to require the wealthy socialite to pay a fine … of $500. Ravenel has an estimated net worth of $6 million. Keeping in mind that he is accused of raping his children’s nanny, that is … not the outcome that many of his detractors had hoped to see. There was, at least, an allecution. “On the night of the incident, I did attempt to kiss her,” Ravenel admitted in court. “And in doing so,” he confessed. “I grabbed her arm and that was wrong.” Ravenel concluded: “And I am much appreciative of the opportunity to apologize to her in court today.” Dawn Ledwell, his accuser and his children’s former nanny, was not present in court to see him skate by with a modest fine. Ravenel’s story of an attempted unwanted kiss certainly qualifies as assault. But it’s a very different story than the one that Ledwell mustered the courage to share. She describes the 2015 incident as him having removed his clothing, cornering her, and forcibly place her hand against his genitals. She accuses him of having places his hand against her groin in turn. Ledwell sustained injuries to her neck and breasts during the assault, apparently caused by what was done to her clothing. Ledwell explained that she did not cry out or fight back during the alleged sexual assault because one of the young children was sleeping nearby. As awful as what was happening to her was, she was more afraid of the young child seeing it and being traumatized. One year ago, in September of 2018, Ravenel was arrested for assault and battery in the second degree. It seems that prosecutors were already uncertain of how much of what happened to Ledwell they could prove in our court system. Clearly, even less than they thought, as the disgraced former politician was able to reduce the case to giving an unwanted kiss and then pay what amounts to a parking ticket. Ledwell is also not the only woman to accuse Ravenel of sexual assault. After a Tinder date with one woman, he allegedly changed demeanor dramatically and alarmingly and sexually assaulted her. That woman is bound by an agreement to not speak of it. Her daughter was involved in the proceedings but is not beholden to an NDA, and it was she who shared the story with the world. It has been strongly suggested that Ravenel may have had other, unidentified alleged victims sign NDAs in the past. But for now, that is speculation, and Ravenel remains a free man.
