He may be motivated as much by staying out of prison as he is by actually getting better, but Chris Brown at least admits he has major issues with anger. The star and his attorney, Mark Geragos, went to the L.A. County Dept. of Probation Friday afternoon and had an hour-long talk with his new probation officer. Chris Brown Rehab Trip: Will it Keep Him Out of Jail? During that conversation, Chris Brown: Did not talk about being arrested for assault in D.C. last Sunday. Did talk a lot about his current stint inside a Malibu rehab facility. There, Brown’s treatment includes a heavy dose of psychological counseling, and sources say he could stay in the facility for as long as three months . So far the probation department is not impressed . Some sources have even said they’re gunning for Chris. But he’s doing all the right things here. The rehab trip, combined with new reports suggesting that Chris may have never hit the victim in D.C., could be enough to keep Brown a free man. Probation officials will submit a report to the judge in the Rihanna assault case next week, and will likely ask for a judge to revoke Brown’s probation. A judge doesn’t need a conviction in order to do that if he feels Chris is blatantly disregarding the law. He could also wait and see how it plays out, though. Chris Brown: Should he go to jail? Yes. According to TMZ: The Secret Service — charged with protecting the President of the United States — could end up protecting Chris Brown from being sent to prison … TMZ has learned. Here’s what we know. According to official D.C. documents — obtained by TMZ — a witness to the fight early Sunday morning told cops he heard the alleged victim tell a D.C. cop Brown NEVER HIT HIM. The cop later DENIED ever even speaking with the witness in question. But get this. A Secret Service agent — who was on duty and in uniform patrolling the streets near the White House — made contact with D.C. police and told them he happened to be around when the victim told the cop Chris never struck him. The agent says he absolutely heard the victim’s admission to the cop that Chris never struck him. This is doubly helpful for Chris. The Secret Service agent’s testimony could destroy the credibility of the alleged victim and cause prosecutors to drop the misdemeanor assault case. It could also save Chris from the more serious probation revocation in the Rihanna case — and remember, if the judge revokes Brown’s probation, he could go to prison for 4 years. Rihanna Granted Permanent Restraining Order Against Jonathan Whooper According to TMZ reports : The man accused of stalking Rihanna — and claiming to be her “future husband” — must continue to stay away from her for the next 2 years … TMZ has learned. As we first told you … Jonathan Whooper was arrested earlier this month for multiple trespasses at the home RiRi was renting in Pacific Palisades. A security guard at the home says Whooper claimed he was going to marry the singer. A judge in L.A. just granted Rihanna a permanent restraining order against Whooper. He has to stay 100 yards away from her … the same restriction as the temporary restraining order which was already in place. Next up for Whooper — a mental competency hearing to determine if he’s fit to stand trial for felony attempted burglary, vandalism, and stalking.
