Eddie Cibrian, LeAnn Rimes and Brandi Glanville are all gunning for Celebrity Parents of the Year 2013. Let’s just award them that now. Three-way tie. Brandi has had a field day bashing Eddie and LeAnn in her memoir Drinking and Tweeting and Other Brandi Blunders and her subsequent media tour. Well, two (or three) can play at this shamelessly fame-hungry game. “Drinking and instagramming whattttttttt my new book title,” Eddie captioned a photo on Instagram of himself and LeAnn about to do shots last week. After getting some nasty feedback, Eddie only responded to one follower who found it funny, saying, “Glad someone has a sense of humor!” As much as Eddie and LeAnn try to pretend Brandi’s book doesn’t bother them, and that they don’t pay attention to her in general, clearly they do. A new report claims the country singer is “losing it” over the tell-all, as it plays upon her “nagging fears about Eddie that one woman isn’t enough.” “Does it bother her? Of course,” says a source close to the pair. “No woman would want to read these things about her husband. But she knows that Eddie loves her. Days after LeAnn Rimes’ interview about her feud with Brandi Glanville, the latter Tweeted a backhanded thank you to a “certain someone” for boosting book sales. Friday, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star wrote: “Every time a certain someone does another interview my book pre-sales sky rocket! Thank you! #Career.” Glanville’s Drinking and Tweeting: And Other Brandi Blunders does not come out for another few weeks, but pre-orders have indeed risen over the past few days. Her sarcastic comment comes after Rimes slammed Glanville to ET for their ” ridiculous, one-sided feud ,” which she posited was a means of boosting Brandi’s career. The latest round in their years-long war of words erupted after Rimes referred to her stepsons as “my boys” and Glanville fired back with a vengeance . On her infamous Twitter page, Glanville accused the country crooner of getting “under my skin by calling MY children ‘her boys’. Sooo transparent.” But Rimes insists Brandi was blatantly attempt to boost her career: “The transparency is what’s being used to actually continue her career with that tweet.” Ouch. Forget the Justin Bieber smoking weed scandal. This singer is simply going about his professional life. And that life will take him to NBC’s most famous stage on February 9, as Bieber has been officially booked as a host on Saturday Night Live ! The artist – who will be promoting his album “Believe Acoustic” – will perform double duty on the late-night sketch program, joining Bruno Mars and others who have both hosted and been the evening’s musical act. In 2010, Bieber appeared in a sketch opposite Tina Fey; and he also helped Andy Samberg celebrate 100 Digital Shorts last May. Need we even ask: Will you be staying up late to watch Bieber play host?
Bitterness was on the Bravo menu Monday night on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as Brandi Glanville confronted Scheana Marie, Eddie Cibrian’s ex-lover. The Brandi-Scheana sit-down was arranged by Glanville’s BFF Lisa Vanderpump at her restaurant Sur, in hopes of putting the lingering situation to rest. Did it work? A “shaking” and contrite waitress, 27, began by telling Brandi, 40, “I just have so much I need to get off my chest with you,” but Eddie’s ex was not a fan “Don’t cry, really … I lost my family,” Brandi Glanville told Scheana. “I lost everything that I had. So if anyone’s going to cry here it’s not going to be you.” Scheana, claiming Eddie told her he wasn’t married, tried to explain that her relationship with Cibrian went beyond hook-ups … but that only made it worse. “I know that you were f*cking my husband, I get that!” said Brandi, who called her a “starf*%ker” and a “hooker” in a pre-taped clip prior to their meeting. Glanville then hit Scheana hard (verbally), stating, “Look at where you are in your life and I’m in such a better place – I win – You know what I mean?” Perhaps that cathartic comeback was all she needed. Eventually, Brandi said she accepted the waitress’ apology and wished her luck in the future; she even gently patted her on the back as she left. It takes two to cheat, of course, and Cibrian, who also cheated with LeAnn Rimes while he was married to Brandi, repeatedly lied to her face. Ke$ha has inadvertently found her way into some controversy related to the tragic Connecticut shooting in Newtown last week. In the wake of that massacre, many radio stations have pulled the artist’s hit, ” Die Young .” And in response to that move, Ke$ha initially Tweeted that she was “forced” to sing the lyrics to the track… despite actually having a co-writing credit on it. So now here is Ke$ha once again, attempting to clarify the confusion via public statement: “After such a tragic event I was feeling a lot of emotion and sadness when I said I was forced to sing some of the lyrics to Die Young. Forced is not the right word,” she said, adding: “I did have some concerns about the phrase “die young” in the chorus when we were writing the lyrics especially because so many of my fans are young and that’s one reason why I wrote so many versions of this song. “But the point of the song is the importance of living every day to the fullest and staying young at heart, and these are things I truly believe.” We think this issue can be put to rest now. There are clearly bigger things to focus on.
LeAnn Rimes swears she was not drunk on The X Factor last night, despite a head-scratching performance and a lot of speculation regarding it. The 30-year-old strongly denies earlier celebrity gossip reports that she was impaired during her duet with finalist Carly Rose Sonenclar on Wednesday. The singer was “in no way impaired,” and any awkwardness was from “trying to help this 13-year-old girl who was having some trouble with the song.” LeAnn, through her lawyer Larry Stein, said Carly was nervous and had difficulty with some of the notes, and she was doing her best to help her through it. Her performance seemed over-the-top to many, almost as if LeAnn were trying to upstage Carly, but her camp says people are reading too much into it. Stein says that “LeAnn was not performing the way she would normally perform,” but adds that it was only “because she was on stage with a young girl .” LeAnn Rimes and Carly Rose Sonenclar – How Do I Live LeAnn does not understand the speculation, but Stein theorizes, “There have been a lot of untrue things said by others and it feeds into this sort of thing.” Talking to YOU, Brandi Glanville !
