She is slated to receive the honor of Rising Star of 2011 at Billboard’s “Women in Music” event on December 2 in New York City. She will no doubt look ridiculous. Minaj said she was “deeply honored to be recognized by Billboard ” and that she and her fans”mighty long way” but are not close to where “God will take us.” A classic moment in a year full of them for Nicki Minaj . With her talent and style, the rapper/singer has emerged as one of music’s most popular entertainers since releasing her debut album Pink Friday late last year. Her hits include “Super Bass” and “Moment 4 Life,” and she’s collaborated with many other big names. She’ll have one of her biggest fans on hand next Friday: Taylor Swift will be honored as Woman of the Year. Anyone surprised?
