This is so sad. Dad Shoots Son Then Himself According to The NY Daily News A Louisiana dad shot dead his teen football star son and stayed with his corpse for several days before killing himself, police believe. Cops found the bodies of Matthew Tarto, 16, and his 52-year-old father Mark in their River Ridge home on Friday. Both died from gunshot wounds to the head. Detectives think Tarto murdered the boy as he slept in his bed before turning the firearm on himself, in his living room, several days later. “This has all the earmarks of an apparent murder-suicide, and the autopsy supports that finding,” said Col. John Fortunato from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office. Cops were called to search the home after Tarto’s ex-wife Lisa started to worry about not hearing from her son. The victim, Matthew Tarto, 16, in a photo with his mother, Lisa Tarto. Matthew’s teachers at John Curtis Christian School — where he was backup offensive lineman on the 2012 Class 2A state championship football team — also reported his absence to authorities. They had been unable to contact him for 10 days. Investigations are still ongoing, but it has emerged that the elder Tarto was once alleged to have abused his ex-wife. The Advocate reports that she filed for divorce in 2008 and said he repeatedly accused her of infidelity, interrogated her friends and stayed up all night arguing with her. She said he became “cruel” and “obsessive” and threatened and belittled her in front of their son. She eventually scrapped the proceedings and the couple got back together. But in 2010 he filed for divorce himself where he demanded custody and alimony. The divorce was granted in October 2011 and the couple finalized a custody settlement in January. They have figured out that his son Mike is Lohan’s buddy, a guy I have met and who as far as I’m concerned is pretty decent. But what they aren’t focusing on, is what actually matters, and that is Mark Heller’s hot as fuck daughter. Her name is Rachel Heller, I’ve been trying to get her pregnant with my mind for the last few years. It hasn’t worked. Remember, I’ve been stalking you pretty badly, inconsistently, and not quite as committed as I should be, because I forget and I’m lazy, for at least 3 years. That’s gotta count for something. Man and Woman Missing After Diving Into River, Saving Child

Emergency crews are searching for a man and woman who jumped into the Big Sioux River in South Dakota to try to save a six-year-old child. The boy is safe, but Sioux Falls authorities said on Friday that the effort to find the two adults is now considered a recovery and no longer a rescue mission. Man and Woman Save Child, Go Missing in River The man and woman jumped into the river near Sioux Falls around 6 p.m. Thursday after the young boy fell in, according to local NBC affiliate KDLT. The woman is related to the child but is not his mother. The man is not a relative of the boy, KDLT reported. “By the time I got there he was already in there and they had him by the arm,” Napoleon Ducheneaux, a friend of the man who dove in, told KDLT. “They had the kid in his arm and he slipped and fell. And then not too long after that, the kid popped up a little bit to the right and climbed up the rocks by himself.” The two adults found themselves in trouble. “I heard him and the woman talking. He said something like, ‘You hold on to me, I’ll hold on to you.’ And I kept telling them to come to my voice,” Ducheneaux said. The two then slipped under the water Sioux Falls Fire Rescue Chief Jim Sideras said, “We have some issues with very thick ice that we are trying to address. We also have a high flow of water because of ice melting. “We have a lot of foam. We have on the scene crews who are trained in swift water rescue and ice rescue. We also have on site a dive team.” “Because of the thickness of the ice, it’s not possible for that team to go in.” Sideras reported that the boy was safe with family members. “I was with him and he’s with family members, and he’s doing fine,” Sideras said.

Sasha Obama Yawn During one pause by President Barack Obama, cameras cut to Sasha, sister Malia, and mother Michelle Obama ; Sasha yawned for the whole U.S. to see. One can sympathize with Sash. She’d been to church, attended Katy Perry’s inauguration performance and witnessed a swearing-in ceremony in 24 hours. She’s also 11, and the speech – while stirring in rhetoric, moving in its evocation of American greatness, and inspiring in its grandeur – was a tad boring. Sorry Barack.

Stop The Violence: A Bloody Weekend Brings Chicago’s Death Toll To 10 In The First Week Of 2013!!!

Enough is enough!?!? The shootings have got to stop! Via The Huffington Post : A single violent Saturday in Chicago left three people dead—including one man police say was shot more than 15 times—as the homicide rate gets off to a troubling start in the new year. Around 3:10 p.m. Saturday, DNAinfo Chicago reports the man was found shot multiple times in the abdomen on the 5500 block of South Loomis Boulevard in the West Englewood neighborhood. The man was not immediately identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office, though Police News Affairs Officer Daniel O’Brien told DNAinfo police believe they have “a possible offender” in custody. The day got off to a bloody start with a another homicide in Humboldt Park where a 25-year-old River Grove man was shot in the chest around 7 a.m. The Tribune reports David Kartzmark was shot near in the 1500 block of North Talman and died in the the ambulance before even reaching the hospital. Police have no suspects in custody. Around 6:45 p.m., police responded to a South Chicago home in the 8300 block of South Kingston Avenue where they found 55-year-old Angela Welch stabbed multiple times, reports the Sun-Times. Welch’s 25-year-old daughter is suspected of stabbing her mother during a domestic dispute and was taken into custody after initially fleeing from authorities. Ten more people were injured in single-day shootings around the city, said the Sun-Times in a separate report. Shootings were dispersed throughout Chicago Saturday, even including areas like Irving Park that don’t normally see gun violence. A 22-year-old man killed in an expressway shooting in the early hours of Sunday morning marked Chicago’s 10th homicide within the first week of 2013. When will this violence stop!? Images via AP
