‘When we make it happen, we’ll invite everybody,’ he tells MTV News of last month’s supposed wedding photos. By Rob Markman Wiz Khalifa Photo: MTV News In his career, Wiz Khalifa has plotted moves that would take him from Pittsburgh unknown to certified rap star. But when it comes to his and Amber Rose’s rumored September wedding , Wiz promises he didn’t plot the fake-out. “That’s my baby. She’s always gonna be there, so when we make it happen, we’ll invite everybody,” he told MTV News. “I promise we didn’t do that on purpose,” Wiz said of the wedding-like pictures of him and his main squeeze that surfaced on the Internet. Though the rapper was dressed in a black tux and Rose in a white dress, Khalifa was simply in Vegas celebrating his birthday with his girl and a group of well-dressed friends. Wiz went on to release a viral video of him and the Taylor Gang flying out to Las Vegas to celebrate. “Man, I couldn’t plan nothing like that,” he told MTV News on the BET Hip Hop Awards black carpet. “I just be chilling. I just be wanting to have a good time, smoke, eat a little weed cake and — boom! — we got married.” After going public with their romance earlier this year, the Pittsburgh spitter appeared on our “RapFix Live” show and was joined by Amber in one of the live stream’s most memorable moments. The lovebirds have become the topic of much blog speculation, mostly due to the model’s previous courtship with Kanye West. MTV News caught up with the couple on the 2011 VMA black carpet, where Rose said that when it comes to marriage, she and her beau are going to wait a while. “We’re just going to take our time and just enjoy each other right now,” she said. “We’re both really busy and we work really hard, and when the time comes, it’s gonna come.” Did you think Wiz and Amber tied the knot last month? Superstar couple had the ultimate date night on Sunday, including a sweet black-carpet kiss. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber kisses Selena Gomez backstage at the 2011 VMAs Photo: Jeff Kravitz/ FilmMagic Young love ruled the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards . Justin Bieber and girlfriend Selena Gomez had the ultimate date night, and the entire world was watching. It all kicked off when the black carpet VMA Pre-Show started on Sunday; the couple’s adorableness would have viewers “awww”-ing throughout the night. Gomez, who was doing a stint as the pre-show co-host, spoke to a number of celebrities, including Britney Spears and bestie Demi Lovato, but things really got interesting when the Biebs showed up. Bieber — wearing glasses, red pants, leopard-print kicks and a tuxedo jacket — stopped to chat with Gomez, who was decked out in a lacey black mini-dress. “I have a snake. I have red pants and cheetah shoes. My snake’s name is Johnson,” he said when Gomez asked about his outfit. The singer/actress continued to press him in the most professional way about his Best Male Video nod, and Bieber played it cool standing next to his girl. “I’m just excited to be in the category with such amazing people,” he told her. Video of the Year Moonman has gone to a woman every year since the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards. By Jocelyn Vena Past Video of the Year winners meet 2011 Video of the Year nominees Photo: Getty Images/ Columbia/ Capitol/ MTV News Every year since 2007, a woman has taken home the Video of the Year Moonman at the MTV Video Music Awards . The ladies really have become the undeniable stars of the category. So, who has won the prize the past four VMAs? In 2007, Rihanna (featuring Jay-Z) won it for “Umbrella.” A year later, in 2008, Britney Spears dominated with “Piece of Me.” Beyoncé took it in 2009 for her anthem “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It),” and Lady Gaga (and her meat dress) won it last year, 2010, for her “Bad Romance” video. Sunday night, will a woman once again take home the ultimate Moonman for Video of the Year? Well, there’s a 40 percent chance, mathematically, that a female artist will win the prize. Two of the five nominees are women: Adele (“Rolling in the Deep”) and Katy Perry (“Firework”) face off against the Beastie Boys, Bruno Mars and Tyler, the Creator. Will the ladies cancel each other out, or will one of them rise victorious? “I think it has to be a lady this year, as in my mind, it’s a two-person race between Katy Perry and Adele ,” Entertainment Weekly staff writer Kyle Anderson told MTV News. “The former because it seems like an appropriate culmination to an unprecedented chart-ruling year, and the latter because it’s a feel-good story of quality and skill triumphing over glitz and artificiality.” While Anderson notes it could go either way regarding Adele and Perry, celeb blogger Perez Hilton had a more definite idea who will win. “The women continue their hot streak. Without a doubt, the winner is going to be Adele,” he predicted. “This is her year. She’s been the critical darling and has also been embraced by the masses in a way we haven’t seen in a really long time. She’s actually selling albums, week after week, and lots of them. She deserves to win every single award she’s nominated for.” Anderson added that the performances scheduled for the night are a major indication that a lady will win. “Either way, it’s going to be five straight victories for XX chromosomes,” he predicted. “And it should also be noted that considering the biggest performers will also be female — Adele, Lady Gaga, Beyonc

If you have no idea who Tim Pawlenty is, we don’t blame you. The GOP presidential candidate polls way behind Mitt Romney, Michelle Bachmann and even Sarah Palin , who on top of being incapable, isn’t even running! Point being, T-Paw is running, even if no one outside Minnesota, where he served two terms as governor, knows it. So how does he change things up? Get his name in the headlines. More importantly, get Lady Gaga’s name in there. In this Q&A, he asks the interviewers which Gaga song is their favorite: Tim Pawlenty Talks Lady Gaga Granted, it was a personal and pop-culture interview, so it’s not like he name-dropped “Born This Way” in a debate. But he digs the song. Good to know. The a cappella version is better, if you ask him, though, and “Bad Romance” gives it a run for a money because of the beat. Think he’s making all this up? Even if he’s an avid watcher of Lady Gaga videos , we don’t expect she’ll be pulling the lever for Tim in ’12. He’s staunchly opposed to gay marriage.
‘We had to look like we wanted to do it, when in reality we really didn’t,’ he tells MTV News of lip-lock with Emma Watson. By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Rupert Grint Photo: MTV News While fans have long been waiting for Ron and Hermione to lock lips in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2,” Rupert Grint and Emma Watson have said that it was not so much fun to film the highly anticipated scene. And, according to Grint, it was not any easier watching said kiss on the big screen — “especially in 3-D.” MTV News caught up with the “Harry Potter” star over the weekend, and he seemed to find it just as difficult discussing the scene now as he and Watson did after they filmed it in 2009. In fact, Grint couldn’t even remember how many takes of the kiss they had to go through before director David Yates finally yelled, “Cut!” “I have no memory of that day. I’ve kind of erased it,” Grint said. “I think it was about four.” After seven films of buildup, Grint’s Ron Weasley and Watson’s Hermione Granger finally culminate the romance that has been budding since their characters first met inside the Hogwarts Express. But as Hermione and Ron grew to love one another romantically, Watson and Grint became more like brother and sister, making the snogging scene all the weirder for them. “It was a tricky one, because it had to be believable. We had to look like we wanted to do it, when in reality we really didn’t,” Grint said. “We were soaking [in the scene], and that kind of made it a little bit easier, I think, because it was kind of this outburst of adrenaline.” When MTV News chatted with Watson about the kiss back in 2009, she echoed similar uncomfortable sentiments. In fact, she said she was so nervous during the first take of the kiss that she ended up pouncing on Grint in order to get the scene over with. “The only good side to it was the fact that we were both in the same boat,” Watson said. “We were both just like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe we have to do this. This is so awkward. Really awkward.’ So I could take comfort in the fact that Rupert felt the same way. We were both giggling. We were like 12-year-olds. We were like giggling children, where you just couldn’t keep it together.” We’re streaming live from the red carpet at the New York premiere of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2” on Monday (July 11) at 4:30 p.m. ET.
