Making It Rain On Them Hoes: Diddy Tops Forbes’ 2014 List Of Hip-Hop’s Wealthiest Artists

It’s all about the Benjamin’s baby. Diddy Tops Forbes’ Wealthiest Hip-Hop Artist List Diddy may have haters at Howard University, but he’s still making that gwap. According to BET: Sean “Diddy” Combs continues to be the wealthiest artist in hip hop. Diddy tops Forbes’ 2014 list of Hip-Hop’s Wealthiest Artists with a net worth of $700 million, bringing him one step closer to becoming the game’s first billionaire. He’s held the top spot since the list started circulating in 2011. This fiscal cycle, the Bad Boy Records mogul has seen his net worth increase by $120 million since the launch of his music channel, Revolt TV, last year. Second on the Forbes’ list is Dr. Dre, at $550 million. The reigning king of the headphones industry garnered most of his multi-millions from the success of Beats by Dre, and this year bested Jay Z for the No. 2 spot he held in 2013. Still, Jay follows closely behind Dre with $520 million. He is the only name in the top five that can count personal record sales in his take home. Hov’s deal with Samsung to exclusively release Magna Carta Holy Grail netted him a multi-million dollar paycheck last year, in addition to the money made from royalties, touring and his Roc Nation imprint. Brian “Birdman” Williams took the fourth spot at $160 million, which is just over half of the $300 million Cash Money empire he splits with brother Ronald “Slim” Williams. Lastly, holding his spot among the top five, is 50 Cent at $140 million. Fif’s placement is credited to the windfall he pocketed from a Vitaminwater deal in 2007. Diddy, Jay, Birdman….can we hold a stack? AKM-GSI

Justin Bieber: Not a Water Bottle Spitter!

Justin Bieber may have had sex with Mimi Jenson . But he did NOT spit in the water bottle of Colette Harrington. A day after the radio host accused Bieber of being a jerk to her at a gym in Charlotte, Harrington has taken to Facebook to clear up the rumor that she also accused Bieber of spitting in her water bottle . “I NEVER SAID Justin or his posse spit in my drink,” Harrington wrote today. “IN fact, anyone can read the post on my wall about the incident (hours after it happened.) I drank JB’s Gatorade thinking it was MINE.” That is a pretty big difference. But the radio personality maintains that Bieber was very rude to her while the pair worked out in the same facility, writing that Justin “did pick on me with his friends.” She is also willing to give Bieber’s Gatorade bottle to someone who makes a large donation to the Ronald McDonald House in Charleston.

Zombie Apocalypse Averted? Bath Salts Ban Passes U.S. Senate

In the wake of reports that bath salts may have played a role in Saturday’s Miami zombie apocalypse attack, the U.S. Senate passed a bill to ban the substances. Federal legislation criminalizing synthetic marijuana and some bath salts passed the Senate today and is now on its way to the House of Representatives. The law was not passed as a result of the zombie apocalypse , but as part of the FDA Safety and Innovation Act, championed by Sen. Charles Schumer. “Let this be a warning to those who make a profit manufacturing and selling killer chemical components to our teens and children,” Schumer (D-NY) said. “This bill closes loopholes that have allowed manufacturers to circumvent local and state bans,” he said of the effort to ban “these deadly synthetic drugs.” Last Saturday, Rudy Eugene , 31, was shot dead by local police on the off-ramp of the MacArthur Causeway in Miami. He was eating another man’s face. As a police officer told Eugene to get off Ronald Poppo, he “just stood … with pieces of flesh in his mouth and he growled,” eyewitness Larry Vega said. Rudy Eugene Attack on Ronald Poppo An ER doctor at the local Jackson Memorial Hospital told the Herald that Eugene’s attack may have been brought on by psychosis caused by bath salts. The extreme violence, super-human strength and an urge to shed clothes all correspond with reports of bath salt usage around the United States.
