Last night on The Royals Season 1 Episode 9, a startling revelation about Robert came to the surface, further shaking things up for the faux-yalty. Meanwhile, both Prince Liam and Princess Eleanor were forced to battle their inner demons following a string of surprising recent events … Watch The Royals Season 1 Episode 9 Online Picking up where last week left off, The Royals Season 1 Episode 9 saw the DNA test results come back, and boy did they do so with a bang. The royal twins are not actually, well, royal. Not at all. Why would the Queen possibly allow this kind of scrutiny, at the expense of her own legacy and reputation? It’s not clear, but she is all in now. Allying with Cyrus can only mean she was backed into a corner with no other options, has a genius plan to turn this to her advantage, or both. Probably a combination both. But only time shall tell … With both Liam and Eleanor pulled from the line of succession, Cyrus is now Regent. To the surprise of no one, he is loving every second of it. His not-so-hot mess daughters? Even more thrilled. Helena also revealed that Robert killed himself, a secret all who watch The Royals online have been wondering about since its inception. Eleanor began to blame herself, as she was supposed to call him right before it happened, only to forget to do so after a night of epic partying. This guilt and love Eleanor has for her late brother made Queen Helena see the light about her kids, and she pondered a change in alliances. Is it too late, though? Has the damage been done? As for Gemma, she still cares about Liam in spite of his changed status, while giving him space and also helping the Queen however she can. Liam hasn’t contacted Ophelia or anyone else, for that matter. Whatever he’s thinking about or planning to do next, he’s not letting on entirely. Finally, the man on the security footage approached Eleanor, telling her he killed Robert and implying that he was only a pawn in this game. Who do you think he’s working for?! Fred White, the longtime broadcaster for the Kansas City Royals, has died. He passed away yesterday, one day after announcing his retirement. White was 76. White died of complications from melanoma. The broadcaster, who had a 40-year association with K.C., had reportedly been sick for some time. White joined the Royals’ broadcast team in 1973 and teamed with Denny Matthews in 1975, with the two serving at the team’s voices though 1998. More recently, White remained an active figure within the MLB organization, acting as the club’s director of broadcast services and Royals alumni. A team statement said the longtime broadcaster passed while in hospice care. His family has requested privacy as they deal with their grief. R.I.P.

The UK Mail on Sunday quoted an unnamed friend saying “Some of their closest pals were at a barbecue hosted by a family friend of the Royals recently.” “Kate and William and their friends were all discussing the fact that Kate’s baby is due to be born on July 13. Everyone there was very excited.” If the baby cooperates, the birth would fall right in the middle of a four-day Coronation Festival marking the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s coronation. It would also lose gambling addicts a lot of money. Kate Middleton due date betting has been heaviest in the first week of July, according to reports. Days after launching an injunction in a civil case against Closer magazine, Kate Middleton and Prince William have filed a criminal complaint in a French court. Seeking justice against those who disseminated Kate Middleton topless photos last week, the complaint asks prosecutors to charge the paparazzo behind the shots. Of course, there was no name listed in the royals’ criminal complaint, as it’s unclear who was responsible for taking the pics published in the celebrity gossip mag. Under French law, those convicted of violating Will and Kate’s privacy – the unnamed paparazzo and Closer ‘s editor, in theory – could face thousands of euros in fines. A possible one-year jail sentence is also on the table, albeit unlikely. As it happened, Closer removed the pics from its website on Friday shortly after being sued, and before the criminal complaint was even filed by the royals. However, Closer ‘s Italian sister publication, Chi, ran a 26-page spread today of Kate Middleton nude and topless images, many of them the same as Closer ‘s. A statement released by Mondadori, the group that owns Chi and Closer, defended the decisions made by the respective editors to run a report on the pictures: “The publisher respects the arguments put forward by the editors.” Watch Closer ‘s editor stand by the decision after the jump …

Kate Middleton and Prince William will spend the holidays together with both of their families, and her sister Pippa will be invited to the royals’ Boxing Day retreat, to boot! The 29-year-old Duke and Duchess will spend the actual holiday with William’s family, but the entire week before will be spent with her sister Pippa and the Middletons. Pippa, 27, will then join her big sister for Boxing Day (Dec. 26) in Sandringham, Norfolk, where the royals hold an annual pheasant hunting competition. Lock and load! “It will be the first Christmas Catherine is away from her family, so having Pippa come on Boxing Day is just part of making [Kate] feel comfortable and for her to share the holiday with her own family,” an insider said . “It’s something William wanted.” Nice guy, that Will. Kate, William and Pippa “will then all travel together back to Bucklebury and spend the remaining days of Christmas with the other Middleton family members.” In early 2012, William will be deployed to the Falkland Islands for six weeks. He’ll join a Royal Air Force crew as part of his training as a Search and Rescue pilot. Hopefully Pip can keep Kate Middleton company then, as well.
