Kate Gosselin Cruise: The Worst Idea Ever

There is a Kate Gosselin cruise. Yes, a cruise featuring Kate Gosselin herself. This summer. Offered by Royal Caribbean, which is like a major cruise line. On August 12-19, if you are so inclined, you can set sail with Kate on a ship for between $1,900 and $3,175. A small price to pay for a brush with … wait. The trip starts in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., moving on to Jamaica, Cozumel, etc. Kate will be available for Q&A sessions, photo ops, crafts and cocktail parties! Better vacation: This or a week in Pyongyang? The hilarious thing is that Kate Gosselin , for all her good qualities (there must be some, we’re thinking) is basically famous for yelling, being a grating harpy, insisting on having things her way, seeking attention and emasculating her then-husband. Just want you want to be around … on VACATION. Are people actually interested in things like this? Is it actually a selling point to go on a celebrity cruise? Or one with Kate Gosselin for that matter? Seriously, tell us. And if the answer is yes, just spend August working instead. Some nice overtime pay has to be better than Mai Tais with the TLC banshee. Andy Cohen Defends Inclusion of Russell Armstrong on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Andy Cohen faced the press/fire this week at the Television Critics Association, answering questions about the new season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and, specifically, why Russell Armstrong has been featured despite his suicide in August. “He was given the option to not come back or come back and he chose to come back,” Cohen said. “He had spoken to producers a lot vocally about how it had helped his business being on the show, so you know, I can’t speak to that.” In an interview prior to the new season airing, Armstrong referred to the show as phony BS , warning that producers edit every action and every conversation. Did they ever considering cutting him entirely from the show, following his death? “We had many discussions, as you can imagine, for a long time about how to do the serious discussions,” said Cohen. “And I think what emerged is the story of a woman trying to extricate herself from a bad, broken marriage in which she was unhappy and in which domestic violence played a part. And that was the story that wound up emerging from the season.” That, and very high ratings, of course. [Photo: WENN.com]

Taylor Armstrong on Russell Armstrong Abuse: New Details

Entertainment Tonight aired its exclusive interview with Taylor Armstrong last night, as the Real Housewife of Beverly Hills went into detail regarding the alleged violent nature of her late husband, Russell. Taylor Armstrong Speaks on Russell Armstrong After explaining how Russell once beat her over a pizza order , Taylor continued: “The first time [Russell] ever really harmed me physically, I was pregnant with Kennedy and he grabbed me by the throat and held me against a wall. Nothing had really happened to set him off, but I saw his ability to go from zero to 60 that quickly.” Taylor says Russell was aware of where his temper might lead him, but he just couldn’t help it: “He would grab me by one side of the hair on my head and bang the other side of my head against the car. He mentioned he was afraid he might kill me, and I think he meant in an almost accidental way, that he would get so angry at me at some time that he would hit me, and I would hit something, or he would grab me by the neck and something would go wrong.” Taylor would cover for her abusive husband, she adds, even once blaming her daughter for her hospital visit: “I could have lost my eye, for sure. I told the doctor that Kennedy had kicked me. Because Russell told me to tell him that. And Russell went with me to the appointment, and sat in the chair with me the entire time. And when I came out of the flap repair, he immediately came into the recovery room with me, and stayed there until I left. And… I didn’t want him to go to jail, so I guess that was all right. What do you think of Taylor Armstrong taking these accusations so public? It’s…

John Ann Hotchkiss Confirms Suspicions: My Son Was Murdered!

A coroner has ruled out foul play, but John Ann Hotchkiss – the mother of Russell Armstrong – has confirmed in a new interview: “We want a murder investigation . We will do whatever is necessary to proceed.” Hotchkiss simply can’t fathom that Russell would take his own life – she says he was “warm and personable” and “loved his children to a fault” – and believes his financial struggles left him open to a “set up.” “No one is accusing Bravo,” Hotchkiss clarifies to U s Weekly . “We think someone conspired to have him murdered and it is open as to who did it.” Russell’s mother hasn’t shied away from the spotlight since her son’s death, explaining in an interview soon after the tragedy that Armstrong was petrified of his portrayal on season two of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills . Does she blame the program for what happened? No, but if Taylor and Russell had never been on it, “I honestly believe in the bottom of my heart they would still be together,” she said of the “emotionally brutal show.” And she does blame Bravo for airing Monday’s premiere: “[It] was a total slap in the face. It just showed how superficial and shallow [Bravo] is… they don’t care about anyone. They just care about ratings.”

Russell Armstrong to Be Cremated

With Bravo still considering its options for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills , and with a new rumor spreading that Russell Armstrong recently broke the cheekbones of his wife, at least one aspect of this tragedy has been settled: The late reality star will be cremated and a funeral will be held for him in Los Angeles next week. There had reportedly been a conflict over where Russell’s ashes would be spread – California or Texas – but because the couple was still married at the time of his suicide, Taylor is making the funeral arrangement. Troy Christiansen, an attorney for Russell’s side of the family, tells TMZ the current arrangement is fine with his clients.
