In Sick White Folks News: Jared Loughner’s HS Sweetheart Says He Went Crazy After She Broke Up Him

According to his ex, Jared Loughner “used to be” a typical teenager: The high school sweetheart of the Arizona gunman has said his descent into madness began after she broke up with him. Kelsey Hawkes described how Jared Loughner, whom she dated for a year in 2005 when she was 15, turned from a normal person into a ‘psycho’ when she ended their relationship. The student claimed Loughner ‘fell apart’ when she said she wanted to move on and looked like he had ‘nothing to live for’. Over the following months she watched in dismay as her former love began drinking and taking drugs before cutting himself off from their mutual friends. His warped journey is said to have reached its terrible climax last week when he opened fire at a meeting of Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, seriously injuring her and killing six others. Speaking exclusively to the Daily Mail, Miss Hawkes, 21, said: ‘My breaking up with him was not the cause of him going off the rails but it was definitely the start of it. ‘Something changed in him, he was not the same person when I told him it was over. ‘I remember his face clearly – he just looked like he had nothing to live for. It was my first relationship and it was his first relationship. He was definitely in love with me but I’m not sure if I could say I was in love with him – it was typical teenage stuff. Jared used to care about everything, his grades, school, his friends. That was when Jared was a normal person. It all stopped when we broke up.’ She added: ‘There was never any sign of that when we were going out, I would not have dated a weirdo.’ Miss Hawkes said the couple met in 2004 – when she was 15 and he was 16 – at a college American football game while both were studying at Mountain View High School in Tucson, Arizona. Although he was in the year above, the pair bonded over shared interests such as rock music. She said: ‘We clicked and we hung out, we did our homework together, we went to the movies. Typical teenage romance stuff.’ Miss Hawkes, who lives in Tucson, near the site where Loughner carried out his plot, said she learned her ex-boyfriend was the mass killer when she got a call from her sister. ‘I had to go home from work and I cried for the rest of the day,’ she said. ‘We had such an ordinary high school relationship that to think of him like that just blows my mind.’ Source

Spencer Pratt Plans Heidi Montag Tell-All

‘I’m not holding anything back,’ the former ‘Hills’ star says. By Mawuse Ziegbe Spencer Pratt Photo: Jean Baptiste Lacroix/ Getty Images Spencer Pratt appears determined to ride out his breakup with Heidi Montag the same way the pair spent their short-lived marriage together: in the spotlight. The former “Hills” star told Us Weekly that he’s planning to divulge details about his relationship with his reality co-star and soon-to-be ex-wife in an upcoming tome. “My last book, ‘How to Be Famous,’ didn’t make the New York Times best-seller list because it was in the self-help section,” Pratt said. “This one is going to be totally different. I’m not holding anything back.” Pratt also revealed that the tell-all will highlight Montag’s strained relationship with her mother, Darlene , which was chronicled on “The Hills.” Montag has fired back about the forthcoming book. She recently told , “This is exactly why I left him.” Montag said she plans to halt the release of the book and told the website, “Right now, I’m looking into my legal options.” Pratt and Montag recently signed divorce papers , and their split is expected to become finalized in another six months. Earlier this year, Montag said the couple had grown apart , telling People magazine: “We just want different things in life.” However, Pratt put the deterioration of their relationship more bluntly, saying, “We love each other, but I’m a famewhore , and I’ll never grow out of it.” The planned tell-all isn’t the first time Pratt has milked his onscreen celebrity to work the publishing game. Pratt and Montag teamed up last year to write, “How to Be Famous,” an instructional guide to scoring fame with dubious credentials. How do you feel about Spencer Pratt writing a book about his relationship with Heidi Montag? Let us know in the comments below.

Police: California couple tried to sell baby at Walmart

SALINAS, Calif. (AP) — A California couple faces child endangerment charges after police say they tried to sell their 6-month-old baby for $25 outside a Walmart store. Salinas police spokesman, Officer Lalo Villegas, said Thursday that Patrick Fousek, 38, and Samantha Tomasini, 20, were arrested early Wednesday, hours after Fousek allegedly approached two women outside Walmart and asked if they'd like to purchase his child. The women initially thought Fousek was joking, but when he became persistent, they became suspicious and reported it to police, Villegas said. “They did an outstanding job and gave our officers good information. I don't know if they're mothers but they definitely had that instinct to help,” Villegas said. Fousek and Tomasini were arrested at 1 a.m. Wednesday at their home. Officers said the couple appeared high on methamphetamine and the house was in disarray. A police report also claimed that Tomasini told Child Protective Services, who took the baby, that she had breast-fed the infant while under the influence, Villegas said. The couple was also booked on charges of being under the influence of narcotics, and Fousek was also served with an extra charge of violating probation. Villegas did not have details of Fousek's previous brush with the law. The couple was expected to be in court for an arraignment Friday, at which time they would be assigned public defenders. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f= /n/a/2010/06/24/national/a171426D55.DTL added by: Stoneyroad

Couple Arrested For Asking For Directions

“In jail for eight hours — sleeping on a concrete floor next to a toilet,” Kelly said. “It was a nightmare,” Brook said. “I was in there thinking I was just dreaming and waiting to wake up.” (wbaltv.com) http://www.wbaltv.com/news/9229472/detail.html BALTIMORE — Baltimore City police arrested a Virginia couple over the weekend after they asked an officer for directions. WBAL-TV 11 News I-Team reporter David Collins said Joshua Kelly and Llara Brook, of Chantilly, Va., got lost leaving an Orioles game on Saturday. Collins reported a city officer arrested them for trespassing on a public street while they were asking for directions . “In jail for eight hours — sleeping on a concrete floor next to a toilet,” Kelly said. “It was a nightmare,” Brook said. “I was in there thinking I was just dreaming and waiting to wake up.” Collins reported it was a nightmare ending to a nearly perfect day. He said the couple went to a company picnic and watched the Orioles beat Kansas City. It was their first trip to Camden Yards and asked two people for directions to Interstate 95 South when they left. Collins said somehow they ended up in the Cherry Hill section of south Baltimore. Hopelessly lost, relief melted away concerns after they spotted a police vehicle. “I said, 'Thank goodness, could you please get us to 95?” Kelly said. “The first thing that she said to us was no — you just ran that stop sign, pull over,” Brook said. “It wasn't a big deal. We'll pay the stop sign violation, but can we have directions?” “What she said was 'You found your own way in here, you can find your own way out.'” Kelly said. Collins said the couple spotted another police vehicle and flagged that officer down for directions. But Officer Natalie Preston, a six-year veteran of the force, intervened. “That really threw us for a loop when she stepped in between our cars,” Kelly said. “(She) said my partner is not going to step in front of me and tell you directions if I'm not.” Collins reported the circumstances got worse. Kelly pulled 40 feet forward parking next to a curb and put his flashers on while Brook was on the phone to her father hoping he could help her with directions. Both her parents are police officers in the Harrisburg, Pa., area. “(Brook's father) was in the middle of giving us directions when the officer screeched up behind us and got out of the car and asked me to step out. I obeyed,” Kelly said. “I obeyed everything — stepped out of the car, put my hands behind my back, and the next thing I know, I was getting arrested for trespassing.” “By this time, I was completely in tears,” Brook said. “I said, 'Ma'am, you know, we just need your help. We are not trying to cause you any trouble. I'm not leaving him here.' What she did was walk over to my side of the car and said, 'Ok, we are taking you downtown, too.'” Collins said the couple was released from jail without being charged with anything. Brook is now concerned the arrest may complicate a criminal background check she's going through in her job as a child care worker. Collins said police left Kelly's car unlocked and the windows down at the impound lot. He reported a cell phone charger, pair of sunglasses and 20 CDs were stolen. Baltimore City police said they are looking into the incident. added by: learner1776
