Introduction: We#39;ve had a Sony Trinitron SDTV for many years, using a HDTV tuner converter box since the switch to HD broadcasting. I have been waiting for an LED-backlit TV with at least a true 120Hz refresh rate to come down to a decent price. On this past Black Friday weekend I tried the Samsung UN46ES6100 and this Sony KDL46EX645, which were both priced at $799. Below are my thoughts on these two TVs. Pay Yo Bills: A Locked Up O.J. Simpson Owes the IRS $180K!

O.J. can’t catch a break . Locked up and serving his 33-year sentence for armed robbery, the IRS slapped O.J. with a huge back taxes amount of $180…all owed from 2007-2010. According to TMZ , the breakdown is as follows: 2007 – $15,927.89 2008 – $105,119.71 2009 – $49,490.27 2010 – $8,897.20 All totaled up, Simpson allegedly owes $179,435.07. The lien is just the latest in a string of problems for the former football star — 7 months ago his FL home was foreclosed on … and he’s still locked up for kidnapping, armed robbery and other charges from a 2007 Las Vegas incident. O.J. still owes over $30 mill to the families of slain wife Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman too. He’s up for parole in 2016 and if granted, it looks like he’ll be workin’ a lot of overtime. Steve Jobs is doin’ his happy dance up in heaven right about now. A Jury awarded Apple $1 BILLION dollars worth of “damages” today after Apple accused Samsung of patent infringements on smartphones and tablets. …various Samsung products violated an Apple patent covering the “bounce back” effect when a user scrolls to the end of a list, and the pinch-to-zoom gesture that users make when they want to magnify an image on their screens. Apple had asked the jury to award it $2.5 billion in damages for what it said was Samsung’s violation of a handful of patents related to the physical design and software functions of the iPhone and iPad. In a counter suit, Samsung had demanded that Apple pay it $422 million for its own patent violations. The evidence Apple presented during the trial, including internal Samsung memos and strategy documents, left little doubt that the iPhone inspired a major effort by the Korean manufacturer to overhaul its mobile phone efforts. The Samsung Galaxy Note is one large smartphone/tablet hybrid, so it only seems fitting that someone just as large would be caught using the device. Well in this video uploaded by techinvator on YouTube, we see an elephant named Peter using a Samsung Galaxy Note. We’re not sure if the elephant really knows what it is doing, but it sure looks like it does!
