Juelz Santana is set to release three mixtapes before he releases his next album. According to BoomBox.com two of the efforts will be solo and one will be in collaboration with Skull Gang. “My mixtape is coming out first. That’s going to be like an album, ‘The Reagan Era,’ the long awaited, aka well worth it, I promise you that. The album will be out probably a couple months after the mixtape, called ‘Born to Lose, Built to Win, I had a little altercation with my studio so my studio got shut down. So I’m putting my mixtape out right after that,” the Skull Gang leader said “We gon do the Skull Gang mixtape after that, and I might do another mixtape. But that’s going to be pretty much leading up to my album. I ain’t got no exact dates, but as soon as the mixtape is released, it ain’t gonna stop after that,” says Juelz. Who knew Carlos Santana was such a romantic?!? The legendary musician proposed to his girlfriend, drummer Cindy Blackman, on Friday night – and he did so on stage, during a concert in Illinois! After she said yes, the pair kissed, while fans cheered them on. “Cindy and I are blessed to have found each other,” Santana said in a statement released to MTV News. “Being in love is a gift from the universe, and the spirit and vibrations that come with it are infinitely powerful. After she accepted, the couple kissed and fans cheered on the moment. “Cindy and I are blessed to have found each other,” Santana said in a statement released to MTV News. “Being in love is a gift from the universe, and the spirit and vibrations that come with it are infinitely powerful. I look forward to expressing that incredible energy through my music, and in helping to tip the balance toward more love in the world with what Cindy and I share.” The proposal came right after Blackman, a noted jazz percussionist who has worked with Lenny Kravitz and Cassandra Wilson, joined Santana for a drum solo on his track “Corazon Espinado.” Santana is about two months into the first leg of his Universal Tone Tour and is currently preparing for the release of Guitar Heaven: Santana Performs the Greatest Guitar Classics of All Time, his first studio album in six years. The tour’s next leg kicks off in late September — right around the release of the new project — with a monthlong stretch in Europe. No wedding information has been released yet, but this will be Santana’s second marriage. His first was to Deborah Santana, his wife of 34 years; she filed for divorce in 2007.
