Prison To Primetime? Casey Anthony Says She’s Inspired By Kim Kardashian And Wants To Be A Reality TV Star!

Ho sitcho azz down!!! Not happy with just trying to seal a book deal as well as not locked up in a cell somewhere, Casey Anthony has dreams of hitting the small screen and becoming a reality star. According to an article in People magazine, the former murder suspect has abruptly ended spiritual and grief counseling, focusing instead on rebuilding her life — and her image. “She loves being notorious,” revealed an insider. “One day she said, ‘I need to work on my brand,’ which is so strange for me and so foreign from what she should be doing. I said, Casey, what brand? You’re not selling anything. You’re a lost girl who got in a lot of trouble.’” When asked what her next move is going to be, Casey smiled slyly, said the source, and replied: “I am one of the most famous people in America. I’m on Saturday Night Live.” While she aspires to follow in the footsteps of reality queen Kim Kardashian, Anthony, 26, will not be asking for any tips from the Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s star as she is still extremely upset over tweets from her idol following last year’s verdict in her 2-year-old daughter Caylee’s death. Casey, you are not a celebrity! You are in the news because you are a thief that stole from your grandparents, parents, and friends and you are responsible for your child’s death. You are not famous, you are a piece of disgusting isht!!!! Source

Andy Samberg Will Miss ‘So Many Things’ About ‘SNL’

‘I’ll definitely miss … being able to do comedy on such a storied show,’ Samberg tells MTV News about his ‘Saturday Night Live’ exit. By Josh Wigler Andy Samberg Photo: MTV News Andy Samberg’s announcement that he’ll no longer be a part of “Saturday Night Live” starting next season surprised precisely no one. The comedian’s possible exit had been rumored for months, with buzz recently reaching a boiling point thanks to the closing lyrics of “Lazy Sunday 2,” his final Digital Short: “On these New York streets I hone my fake rap penmanship/ That’s how it began, and that’s how I’mma finish it.” But even though Samberg is walking away after a seven-season run, don’t think the comedian arrived at the decision easily. MTV News spoke with Samberg and his co-star (and fellow “SNL” alum) Adam Sandler as they promoted “That’s My Boy,” and the Lonely Island artist revealed that there’s a lot he’ll miss about working on the show, his colleagues most of all. “The people and the friends, definitely,” Samberg told MTV News ahead of the Movie Awards on Sunday night. “I’ve been saying it a lot — I’m going to miss all of my friends and the people I work with. I love them all so much, and I’m hoping to stay in touch with them.” That said, Samberg feels very strongly about the choice to depart the New York-based late-night comedy series. “Over seven years, that show is like — and [Sandler] knows — it’s like going to war or being on a sports team,” he said. “It’s just everyone working towards this common goal at full speed. When you lift your head up from that and go out into the world, you kind of realize, you’ll always be nicely shell-shocked in a way that only the people who did it with you can understand. I’ll definitely miss having such an amazing outlet and being able to do comedy on such a storied show that everyone pays attention to, but … ” “But now you can do it on YouTube,” Sandler interrupted. “Right,” Samberg laughed. “Now it’s straight to YouTube.” Sandler, like Samberg, certainly knows what it’s like to walk away from “SNL.” After leaving the show in 1995, he found enormous success through movies like “Billy Madison,” “Happy Gilmore” and many more. With Sandler’s many achievements in mind, we asked the Happy Madison founder what he thought of Samberg’s decision to say so long to Saturday night. “He’s doing it all right,” said the comedian. “This guy cares about being a good person first, and I love that about him. He’s a hard-working fool when he wants to be, and he’s really a smart, talented and great guy. I know he’s going to do everything he wants to do. “I was aggressive back in the day. I was driven and needed to get my movies made and blah blah blah. He’s less nutty about it,” Sandler continued. “He’s a very passionate and smart guy who knows about what should come first, and that’s life. Right? Something like that?” “Yeah,” Samberg enthusiastically replied. “Right!” Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to vote for your favorite flicks now! Andy Samberg Confirms Saturday Night Live Departure

Confirming rumors that have been circulating for months, and which were punctuated by his performance of Lazy Sunday 2 on the Saturday Night Live season finale last month, Andy Samberg has confirmed that he’s exiting the iconic sketch show. “It’s an incredibly emotional and strange moment in my life,” Samberg told The New York Times yesterday in a telephone interview. “Obviously it’s not a huge shock, but I did officially decide not to come back.” Samberg joined SNL in 2005 and went on to become the master of the Digital Short. He can also do a mean impression of Nicholas Cage. Referring to this move as “one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made,” the comedian will next be seen alongside Adam Sandler in this summer’s That My Boy . His depature follows that of Kristen Wiig, who was given an emotional send-off on that same season finale.

Laurieann Gibson Plots ‘Super Dope’ Music Career With ‘Last Chance’

Onetime Lady Gaga collaborator talks to MTV News about how she went from behind the scenes to center stage. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Vanessa White Wolf Laurieann Gibson Photo: Getty Images Laurieann Gibson has worked with artists like onetime muse Lady Gaga and current inspiration Nicki Minaj , helping the pop princesses craft stage spectacles and killer dance routines. But, having spent the last chapter of her career shaping the careers of other artists, the former Fly Girl feels now is the time for her to move from behind the shadows and kick-start her own music career. “When I began to choreograph and find my way pulling other artists’ dreams out and changing music in a visual way, there was still a part of me that had something more to say,” she told MTV News about working on her solo album. “There was still a desire to rock a stage and ultimately perform the eight count of my dream, but there was a lot of insecurity there.” It wasn’t until last year, however, that she found the strength to hit the studio for this album. And she channeled all of those feelings into her music, including her lead single, the dance-floor anthem “Last Chance.” “I put that into the album, into the lyrical content and I’m really proud of what is coming out of the studio,” she said. Gibson said she started working on the album after wrapping up her E! show “Born to Dance” and directing Gaga’s video for “Yo

Miranda Cosgrove Can Relate To Kristen Wiig’s ‘SNL’ Exit

‘iCarly’ star facing her own series finale tells MTV News being on ‘Saturday Night Live’ set for Wiig’s last day was ‘sad.’ By Jocelyn Vena Miranda Cosgrove Photo: MTV News Miranda Cosgrove is just weeks away from filming the final episode of her hit Nick show, “iCarly,” but the actress got a sense of what it might feel like to say goodbye when she recently hit the set of “SNL.” Cosgrove was on hand as Kristen Wiig departed “Saturday Night Live” over the weekend, and she couldn’t help but wonder if the end of her show will be as emotional. The teen star was in town taping an episode of “iCarly” with Jimmy Fallon when she and her castmates decided to stop by the “SNL” set to watch the Mick Jagger-hosted finale, which also happened to be Wiig’s farewell . “I’m a huge Kristen Wiig fan,” Miranda told MTV News this week. “I love her. I was super-excited to go to see her last episode ’cause I’ve never been to ‘SNL’ before and it was a pretty cool one to get to go to. … It was sad it was her last episode and I was kind of thinking in the back of my mind that we’re about to finish [our show]. So it was definitely a sad kind of moment, but I’m glad I got to go with the whole cast and we got to have such a good time.” The trip to New York City created a lot of fond memories that Cosgrove said she’ll take with her. “It was so much fun, like, getting to be on the plane with everybody. Jerry [Trainor], he met Sean Penn on the plane and he had him sign his Vans,” she recalled. “I don’t know; it’s kind of like an ‘iCarly’ episode being out here. We all took a carriage ride the other day, we went to FAO Schwarz; we went to ‘SNL,’ the finale. We’ve had the best time together here.” With New York City behind them, the “iCarly” crew will film their last episode in June, marking the end of a super successful five-season run on Nick. The series finale airs in November. Are you sad “iCarly” is coming to an end? Tell us in the comments! Related Artists Miranda Cosgrove

Katy Perry Performs "Wide Awake", Opens Up About Divorce in New Single?

Katy Perry is never one to hold anything back. The singer performed her new song “Wide Awake” at the Billboard Music Awards last night, a song written for her upcoming 3D documentary movie and which appears to specifically address her recent divorce from comedian Russell Brand. Watch and listen to her performance here: Katy Perry – “Wide Awake” (Billboard Music Awards) “I’m wide awake. I was in the dark, I was falling hard with an open heart. How did I read the stars so wrong. I was dreaming for so long. I wish I knew then what I know now. I wouldn’t dive in, I wouldn’t bow down,” she sings. But the song isn’t about the singer wallowing in heartbreak for long, at least. “Not losing any sleep,” she says. “I picked up every piece and landed on my feet.” “Need nothing to complete myself. I am born again, outta the lion’s den. I don’t have to pretend. The story’s over now, the end.” If the song is as autobiographical as it sounds, she’s moved on. Good for her.

Kristen Wiig Says Goodbye to Saturday Night Live in Tearful "Graduation"

Kristen Wiig got a musical sendoff on the season finale of Saturday Night Live. The popular cast member is leaving the show after seven years, and in her final skit, guest host Mick Jagger played the principal at a high school graduation and brought up Wiig, in cap and gown, as “one particular student who is leaving this summer.” The symbolism? Not subtle. The emotions? Running high. Kristen Wiig Saturday Night Live Farewell She danced in turn with Jagger, cast members and executive producer Lorne Michaels to the tune of the Rolling Stones classic “She’s a Rainbow.” The ensemble then sang sang another Stones hit, “Ruby Tuesday,” with its line, “still I’m gonna miss you.” Wiig appeared to be holding back tears. Wiig’s departure, while widely expected – her hit film Bridesmaids was just the start of a promising movie career – is still a tough blow for the show. Her limitless range on SNL brought us attention-seeker Penelope, Kat (half of the musical duo Garth and Kat), the Target woman and other oddballs. Real-life notables she played include Bjork, Kathie Lee Gifford, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and most recently, Tanning Mom .

Bee Gees’ Robin Gibb Dead At 62

Singer had battled colon and liver cancer and lapsed into a coma last month. By Katie Byrne Robin Gibb in 1976 Photo: Richard E. Aaron/ Redferns/ Getty Images Bee Gees member Robin Gibb died Sunday (May 20) after a long battle with cancer; he was 62 years old. “The family of Robin Gibb, of the Bee Gees, announce with great sadness that Robin passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery,” read a statement confirming the news. “The family have asked that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time.” Gibb, who had been battling colon and liver cancer, lapsed into a weeklong coma last month. In February, doctors said he’d made a “spectacular” recovery from the disease, but he was soon back in the hospital for surgery. The “Saturday Night Fever” singer had bowel surgery almost two years ago for an unrelated condition, at which time doctors discovered a tumor and diagnosed him with colon cancer. It appeared as if the cancer was in remission as recently as March. Robin was one-third of the Brothers Gibb, alongside lead singer Barry and twin brother Maurice, who died in 2003 from complications of abdominal surgery. The siblings created the Bee Gees as teens in Brisbane, Australia, in 1958. They made their initial impact on pop during the Beatles-led British invasion of the mid-’60s, sending “New York Mining Disaster 1941” into the top 20 and beginning a string of hits that would last through 1972’s “Run to Me.” The ’71 smash “How Can You Mend a Broken Heart” reached the top of the charts. The Bee Gees’ style shifted during the disco era, and their success with funky, dance-oriented pieces such as “Jive Talkin'” and “You Should Be Dancing” set them up for the pop juggernaut of Saturday Night Fever. With falsetto vocals and irresistible rhythms, the trio became one of disco’s most resonant symbols. Three Bee Gees songs from the film’s soundtrack, “How Deep Is Your Love,” “Stayin’ Alive” and “Night Fever,” reached #1 on the Billboard chart. The Saturday Night Fever album is pop’s best-selling soundtrack, having moved over 40 million copies. Please share your condolences for Gibb’s family, friends and fans in the comments. Fifty Shades of Grey Banned in Growing Number of Libraries

Fifty Shades of Grey, the popular trilogy by EL James , may be topping bestseller lists, but you won’t necessarily be able to find it at your local library. Libraries in a few states are choosing not to stock the books or pulling them from shelves, with many citing what they say is inappropriate content. The libraries that have decided against stocking the books due to their explicit sexual content so far are located in Georgia, Florida, and Wisconsin. Some libraries that are not stocking the book cite financial reasons or bad reviews for the trilogy. Yeah right. A Random House spokesperson said: “Random House fervently opposes literary censorship and supports the First Amendment rights of readers to make their own reading choices.” The book, in case you don’t know, is about a hot, rich guy and beautiful, young sex plaything/slave and their various, detailed physical exploits. Its movie rights were recently optioned, with fan speculation already reaching a fever pitch over who should play Christian and Anastasia . Sexually provocative or not, a book is still a book, Random House says. “We believe the Brevard County Public Library System [in Florida] is indulging in an act of censorship,” the spokesman says, calling out one library ban in particular. “Essentially this is saying to library patrons: we will judge what you can read.” “These events resonate as unfortunately considered decisions, as they withdraw from circulation a book with one of the highest demand curves in recent history.” THG’s TAKE : C’mon, just lighten up and give the people what they want … that being mind-numbingly cheesy, Twilight fan fiction-inspired softcore erotica.
