Beyonce To Appear Oprah’s Next Chapter Beyonce mania has invaded the OWN network. Adding to her impressive roster of revealing celebrity sit downs that included the likes of Rihanna, Usher, Lance Armstrong and Bobbi Kristina, the queen of day time talk show will put the ever elusive and pseudo private Mrs. Carte r on blizzy blast in a one on one interview this weekend. via Entertainment Weekly Winfrey will have a special one-on-one interview for Oprah’s Next Chapter with the 17-time Grammy winner, which will air the same night as Beyoncé’s HBO documentary Life Is But A Dream. Don’t worry: There won’t be a conflict. The OWN interview will air at 8 p.m. this Saturday, and the HBO documentary airs at 9. The Oprah’s Next Chapter chat will apparently talk about the Beyonce-directed documentary, and also is being touted as her first interview about her showstopping Super Bowl performance. In addition, reps for the 2013 Essence Music Festival held in New Orleans have confirmed that Bey will headline the line up yet again. via Singers Room One top of headlining her own world tour, The Mrs. Carter Show, Beyoncé is now set to headline yet another – the 2013 Essence Music Festival. The R&B star will return to the Superdome this summer in New Orleans, L.A., to headline one of the three nights of concerts taking place from July 4th to the 7th. She will be joining an amazing lineup of entertainers for the annual festival that includes the likes of: Jill Scott, Maxwell, New Edition, Charlie Wilson, Keyshia Cole, LL Cool J and Brandy, and more. Speaking on her return, Essence Communications Presidet, Michelle Ebanks said this: “We are incredibly excited to welcome Beyoncé back to the 2013 ESSENCE Festival line-up. She is truly the ultimate ESSENCE woman. Turns out you can have it your way, even after you’re dead. Funeral For Pennsylvania WWII Veteran Includes Procession Stop At Burger King A York Pennsylvania war vet loved his Burger King so much his daughter had his funeral procession make one final stop at the before burying him. Via NY Daily News reports : David Kime Jr. “lived by his own rules,” daughter Linda Phiel said. He considered the lettuce on a burger his version of healthy eating, she said. To give him a whopper of a send-off Saturday, the funeral procession stopped at a Burger King where each mourner got a sandwich for the road. Kime got one last burger too, the York Daily Record reported. It was placed atop his flag-draped coffin at the cemetery. Phiel said the display wasn’t a joke, rather a happy way of honoring her father and the things that brought him joy. “He lived a wonderful life and on his own terms,” she said. Kime, 88, a World War II veteran, died Jan. 20. Restaurant manager Margaret Hess said she knew his face and his order. She and her crew made 40 burgers for the funeral procession. “It’s nice to know he was a loyal customer up until the end — the very end,” she said.
