WATCH: Lizzy Caplan Looks Sad A Lot In ‘Save The Date’ Rom-Com Trailer

The critics blurbs in this clip say “romantic comedy” — as does the purple sex-toy scene — but the melancholy soundtrack and the sad, pensive looks on Lizzy Caplan and Alison Brie’ s faces say bring some Puffs when you see Michael Mohan’s Save the Date . Caplan is fast becoming the go-to girl for indie comedies that scrutinize the meaning of love, particularly as it relates to the institution of marriage. This past summer, she was part of the ensemble in Leslye Headland’s wickedly honest Bachelorette , and in Save the Date she plays Sarah, who learns something about herself when she gets caught up in a rebound romance after turning down her boyfriend’s marriage proposal.   Brie plays Caplan’s sister Beth who is caught up in the details of her own wedding. Hand me a tissue, please. I’m feeling weepy already. Follow Frank DiGiacomo on Twitter.  Follow Movieline on Twitter.

Get Excited: Piranha 3DD Has a New Release Date

For many, the Weinsteins’ inescapable awards-season carpet bombing was mere insult added to an even more grievous seasonal injury: moving Piranha 3DD from its original November 2011 release date to the notorious TBD associated with so many Dimension and Weinstein Co. releases. What did you expect, though? Madonna/ W.E. Golden Globe campaigns don’t pay for themselves, right? Anyway, as befits a new inductee into France’s Legion of Honor , Harvey Weinstein is not skimping on the public service, finally rescheduling the blood-and-boobs fishploitation extravaganza for June 1. The good news? That’s only two and a half months away! The bad news? That’s only two and a half months away! Is there enough time and money left after handling the Bully ratings “crisis” to manufacture a PG-13 crusade for this one? How will kids at lakeside summer camps nationwide know how to best deal with flesh-rending fish infestations? Think of the children, save the date, etc. [ STYD ]

See Blair’s Wedding Dress on Gossip Girl!

Move over, Kate Middleton . While the Duchess of Cambridge wore Alexander McQueen to her Royal Wedding in April, Gossip Girl ‘s own “people’s princess” chose an NYC-based designer for her big day. The CW has released new photos of Leighton Meester as Blair Waldorf on the hit series, donning a Vera Wang gown as she prepares to wed the Prince of Monaco. See below: Vera, who appears on the Jan. 16 winter premiere of Gossip Girl , did a fabulous job. No argument there. But whether Blair actually goes through with the wedding is unclear. Having had problems with Louis this season, and with Chuck Bass, and perhaps Dan Humphrey, waiting in the wings, Queen B’s romantic future is still unwritten. She’s running out of time, though: The wedding (which serves as the focal point of the show’s milestone 100th episode) is set for January 30. Save the date! Will she be happy ever after? Or a runaway bride?

Kendra Wilkinson Not Invited To Hugh Hefner’s Wedding

Read the original here:

Kendra Wilkinson, Hugh Hefner’s ex-girlfriend, hasn’t yet been invited to his summer wedding. And she’s not happy about it. “I haven’t gotten my save the date yet,” she told E! . “‘m not joking, I’m really pissed off about it.” “If I don’t get a save the date, I have another wedding to attend that same day. I got a save the date from one of my closest friends for that date. I’m planning on going to Hef’s but I haven’t gotten the save the date for that same date. I’m getting kind of antsy because I need to pick which wedding to go to.” And she’s not pissed at her former man, Hef. She’s pissed at his soon-to-be-wife Crystal Harris. “It’s Crystal that does the wedding planning. She’s the girl! If she doesn’t give me a save the date soon I’m going to have to put in my save the date with the other wedding.” Will Kendra’s Sex Tape Hurt Her Marriage?

Howard Stern marries Beth Ostrosky in NYC

Shock jock Howard Stern got married Friday night at one of my favorite Manhattan eateries, Le Cirque. Stern tied the knot with girlfriend Beth Ostrosky in a ceremony officiated by Mr. Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos. According to News Day , white Marchesa draped silk chiffon Grecian gown with cutaway back and sides. The secret affair had about 180 guests including Joan Rivers, Barbara Walters, Billy Joel and wife Katie Lee, Alfonse and Katuria D'Amato, Tommy Mottola, and Donald and Melania Trump. Wedding guests say they were told to save the date until late last week when they were informed that Stern and Ostrosky would wed in midtown. The attire: “No black tie. Just something you'd wear to a fancy restaurant.” Instead of gifts guests were asked to make donations to the Wildlife Rescue Center of The Hamptons, a wildlife rescue, housing and rehabilitation organization, where according to a spokesman thousands of dollars have already been raised as a result of the wedding. Congratulations to the happy couple!
