Don’t expect Britney Spears’ kids to follow in her footsteps. If the pop star has her way, she tells Cosmopolitan while showing off pelvic tattoos, her midriff and some cleavage, they’ll live a much more low-key life. It’s hard to blame her for wanting to protect Sean Preston, 4, and Jayden James, 3, who she was recently accused of abusing , after all she’s been through. “I’m on the cover of Cosmo ‘s August issue. So excited! What do you all think? – Brit” Tweeted Spears, who recently brought back the crazy in a big way. Below are some excerpts from her interview: THE HOT ISSUE : Britney Spears certainly makes it so . On her children seeking fame of their own: “If my sons told me they wanted to be in the entertainment business, I’d lock them in their rooms until they turned 30.” On having the dreaded sex chat with Sean Preston and Jayden James Federline: “I’m dreading the moment when my sons ask me how babies are made.” On life as a mom: “Things are pretty quiet. I’ve been spending a lot of time at home with my boys. They just started karate class, which is super cute!” Sounds like the most super boring interview ever, but perhaps that’s a good thing as opposed to sparking controversy. Hey, she could be Lindsay Lohan .

Jessica Simpson’s New Boyfriend Eric Johnson: The Nicest, Smartest Guy

Tony Romo he’s not. But Eric Johnson isn’t too shabby himself. “He’s one of the nicest guys around,” says an NFL insider who has worked with the ex-San Francisco 49ers player and current Jessica Simpson plaything. The source notes, later stating the obvious a bit by adding, “I’m surprised he is dating Jessica Simpson . She is such a big star and he is so reserved.” The guy also went to Yale … go figure! Johnson, who also played briefly for the New Orleans Saints, definitely has experience with the limelight, however, having excelled in sports all his life. Former NFL star Eric Johnson couldn’t catch on with a pro team for that long … but he’s got quite a catch in Jessica Simpson. Here’s hoping he doesn’t fumble it away. The 6′ 3″ Needham, Mass., native broke 11 school records while playing wide receiver for Yale University. He’s also a former academic All-American. Called “The Big Nerd” by Yale friends, according to the San Francisco Chronicle , “He’s very smart, and one of the most down-to-earth athletes I know.” Simpson began dating Johnson in May after friends introduced them. He’s currently separated from his wife, Keri, who filed for divorce earlier this year. “He is the polar opposite of what you think of when you say ‘player,’ ” says the source who knows him well. “When I met him, he was driving a Prius.”

Lindsay Lohan Reportedly Punched By Waitress

Another day, more drama for a train wreck. Lindsay Lohan claims, via Twitter, that she was punched by a waitress at L.A. club Voyeur early Friday. “A waitress just hit me – punched me for no reason,” Linds wrote around 1 a.m. A witness reports, strangely, that Lohan – who sipped Red Bulls and hid her SCRAM bracelet with thigh-high boots on her 24th birthday – is right. But why? Who just drills Lindsay Lohan in the face without provocation? “The waitress has a history with Doug Reinhardt,” says the source. Rumor Mill: Doug Reinhardt Dating Rima Fakih, Paris Hilton Bombarding Him with Phone Calls

We’re not sure we believe this piece of celebrity gossip, as the sources are particularly weak, but Paris Hilton has allegedly been bombarding her ex with phone calls. Why? She’s distraught over reports that Doug Reinhardt, whom she dated for 14 months, is now with Miss USA Rima Fakih , and she’s determined to win him back. “Paris is furious,” a source supposedly close to Hilton said. “She was absolutely freaking out at the Cannes Film Festival when she heard Doug was talking to Rima.” “She’s been constantly contacting him and wants him back!” However, the recurring player on The Hills is said to be shunning the ho because he is not interested in a reunion. “He is just so over it,” says the source of Doug. Has Doug moved on from Paris … with Miss USA Rima Fakih?! We believe it … but not necessarily the part about Paris’ harassment. Despite her actions, Hilton recently said she loves being single and is “too busy” for love. “I love it! I am having so much fun. A lot of guys have obviously hit on me and I am getting thousands of calls, but I’m not ready to be with anyone,” she said. Thousands of calls. “I want to stay focused on myself and my family and my work. Then, maybe in six months or a year … but for right now, I’m just too busy for a relationship.” As for Doug and Rima Fakih, we have no clue how he and the pole dancing champion would have met, or how we wouldn’t have known about it if they had. Mindy McCready Hospitalized

No other details about the 34-year-old country singer#39;s hospitalization were immediately available. Mindy McCready was taken to Cape Coral Hospital in Florida Tuesday morning but the “diagnosis has not yet been confirmed,” her lawyer said in a statement. The hospitalization comes less than two years after McCready was taken to a hospital after an apparent suicide attempt in December and entered rehab for undisclosed reasons.

It’s over for Audrina Patridge and Ryan Cabrera. They had a good four months of dating going. We are sad it didn’t last longer for them. But we’re not shocked. The Hills star cycles through boyfriends in prolific fashion, as we all know, and a source confirms that she and her latest one split up “a little over a week” ago. “Things started to go awry the night of her birthday and she ended things after that – pretty much the next day,” explains an insider of the now-former couple. Audrina Patridge , who just turned 25, and Cabrera, 27, spent May 9 in Las Vegas partying at Liquid Pool at Aria, then later at Las Palmas Latin Supper Club. Ryan Cabrera and Audrina Patridge have called it a relationship . Things seemed to be going so well, too, but they took a turn for the worst early this month. If Kim Kardashian is known for one thing in front of a camera, it’s moaning and groaning while Ray J worked his magic up in that piece. But if she’s known for a second thing, it’s totally E!’s hit reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians . A show that may no longer be able to afford her. Now a household name for whatever reason, Kim’s professional celebrity status has thrown a wrench into negotiations for the fifth season of Keeping Up . Her star power has been a boost for the show, but as Kim Kardashian becomes increasingly popular, she may have options more lucrative than E! can match. “Kim’s advisors feel it may be time to explore bigger deals on bigger networks,” a TV insider with alleged knowledge of the ongoing negotiations says. BIG TIME : That applies to Kim’s booty, and level of fame apparently . “She’s right to feel like she doesn’t need to open up her life to make a living. It looks like Kim can make a lot more money than the TV show can pay her, especially through her endorsement deals and doing appearances on bigger shows.” Huh? Really, insider? Spotted: Tiger and Elin Woods Kissing!

Mother of God. We knew the ice had been thawing between Tiger Woods and his wife Elin, but weren’t prepared for a report of them – gasp! – kissing this week. What’s next? Her letting him get to second base? Tiger and Elin Woods were spotted smooching Monday for the first time in months, according to a “close source” Radar Online may have invented for all we know. “They were hugging and they were kissing right out in the open,” an eyewitness told the site. “Elin is certainly a lot more relaxed these days and so is Tiger.” Good to hear. “People in the neighborhood are getting used to seeing them together again,” the source adds. So does this mean it’s all water under the bridge? Time will tell. Nicole Forrester Accuses Josh Duhamel of Possibly Making Like John Edwards

According to Nicole Forrester, there’s a 95% chance Josh Duhamel is doing a great impression of former Presidential candidate John Edwards. According to THG , of course, there’s 99.99999% chance Nicole Forrester is full of crap. The Georgia-based stripper – who claimed in November that she regretted telling the tabloids about her affair with the actor … yet is now milking the allegation for loads of cash – tells The National Enquirer that she’s with child. “Yes, I’m pregnant. Yes, it’s probably Josh’s. I haven’t decided what I’m going to do,” Forrester told the newspaper this week. How confident is Nicole that Duhamel is the father? 95 percent, she said. The Enquirer is rarely a reliable source, but it did correctly call the Edwards/Rielle Hunter affair. It was also the first to detail Forrester’s supposed night of passion with Fergie’s husband, as she claims they had sex – bad sex , mind you – in a $820/night hotel suite after they met at Atlanta’s all-nude Tattletales Lounge club. The publication says Forrester has passed a polygraph test. Of course, Duhamel must do a lot more than simply deny an affair in order to emulate Edwards. He’s still an aide-assisted, state funds-used cover up and sex tape to go!
