Nas Ordered To Pay Kellis $350K-Plus In Spousal, Child Support

Amount includes $10,000 a month to pay off spousal support already owed by the rapper totaling $299,015. By Gil Kaufman Nas and Kelis Photo: Steve Granitz / Getty Images It was a rough day in court on Monday for rapper Nas , who was ordered by a judge to pay more than $350,000 in back support to his ex, singer Kelis , plus her legal and accounting fees. According to TMZ , a Los Angeles superior court judge ordered Nas to immediately pay more than $47,249 in back child support and $40,454 in back spousal support. That hefty amount was in addition to an order to pay Kelis $10,000 a month in spousal support until Nas pays off the $299,015 he already owes Kelis in support payments. Nas, who is preparing to drop his collabo album with Damian Marley, Distant Relatives , on May 18, was also ordered to pay Kelis’ legal fees in the divorce case, which top $155,000, as well as more than $48,000 in Kelis’ accounting expenses. Ever since the couple split just months before the birth of their first child together, Knight Jones , last summer, they have been battling it out in court over support payments. In December, a Los Angeles superior court judge ordered the rapper (born Nasir Jones) to bump up his monthly child and spousal support payments from $40,000 to $51,000, for a total of more than $600,000 a year. Kelis released an EP called Acapella — The Remixes last week, and her album Flesh Tone is due out on July 6. Related Artists Nas Kelis

Conan O’Brien’s Move To TBS Embraced By George Lopez

‘I am completely, 100 percent onboard with this move,’ Lopez says on his TBS show. By Gil Kaufman George Lopez Photo: Frazer Harrison/ Getty Images What a difference a few months and a basic cable outlet make. Unlike Conan O’Brien, who decided to walk when NBC asked him to push his show back to make room for the return of Jay Leno to “The Tonight Show,” comedian George Lopez could not be more psyched that his TBS show “Lopez Tonight” will be bumped an hour to accommodate O’Brien’s new talker in the fall. “If you haven’t heard by now, Conan O’Brien will be joining us on late night on TBS. Welcome! Welcome!,” Lopez gushed at the beginning of Monday night’s show. “I want to say that I am completely, 100 percent onboard with this move.

Chace Crawford Steps Out Of ‘Footloose’ Remake

‘Gossip Girl’ scheduling conflicts are reportedly to blame. By Jocelyn Vena Chace Crawford Photo: John Shearer/WireImage After replacing Zac Efron in the “Footloose” remake , Chace Crawford has announced he will no longer be filling Kevin Bacon’s dancing shoes. His rep confirmed that the “Gossip Girl” star has decided not to move forward with the project. According to Entertainment Weekly, the studio may now go on a nationwide hunt for an unknown to play the part. Sources say Crawford’s “Gossip Girl” schedule got in the way of the movie’s shooting schedule. The show is scheduled to start production for its next season this July, just when Paramount had wanted to start filming the movie. While the film still lacks a leading man, “Dancing With the Stars” pro Julianne Hough is still expected to play the film’s female lead, which was played by Lori Singer in the original flick. Leading men issues haven’t been the shakeups plaguing the film. “High School Musical” director Kenny Ortega was set to helm the musical, but dropped out last year. There have been screenplay problems too: A version penned by Susannah Grant, who wrote “Erin Brockovich,” was later replaced by one written by “Hustle & Flow” director Craig Brewer. EW reports that the studio would also like Brewer to direct, but previous commitments may make that impossible. Initially, Crawford seemed excited by the prospect of starring in “Footloose,” telling MTV News last year that he hoped he had the skills to pay the bills. “I hope so, right? I got the part,” Crawford said. “I hope they know I can dance. I don’t know. It’s a fun script, and actually stepping out of my shell and doing the dancing thing is probably the most exciting part.” Who do you think should star in the “Footloose” remake? Ashley Tisdale To Star In ‘High School Musical’ Spin-Off

Actress will reportedly return to Disney Channel for ‘Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventures.’ By Jocelyn Vena Ashley Tisdale Photo: Eric Charbonneau/ Getty Images Vanessa Hudgens, Zac Efron and Corbin Bleu have all said goodbye to their “High School Musical” alter egos for now, but apparently Ashley Tisdale wasn’t ready to just yet. She’s reportedly going to play Sharpay Evans again in her own spin-off film for the Disney Channel called, “Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventures.” A rep for the actress hadn’t returned MTV News’ request for comment by press time, but the rep did confirm to JustJared.com that Tisdale will star in and executive produce the movie, which will shoot this summer. It’s expected to premiere in 2011. There is no word on whether any of her former “High School Musical” pals (particularly Lucas Grabeel who plays her twin brother, Ryan) will also return for the TV-movie. “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” hit theaters in 2008, and there have been rumors that “High School Musical 4” is expected to go into production. While Tisdale and her co-stars seemed ready to try new projects after “HSM 3,” she didn’t rule out playing Sharpay again. “We don’t really know anything about ‘HSM 4,’ actually. It’s flattering to leave the door open for a character, so that’s really awesome,” she said in late 2008. “I’m just kind of looking forward to other projects as well. It’s something that we’ve always loved to do … and [we’re looking forward to] growing in our careers and looking ahead.” Tisdale has been busy with several non-“HSM” TV and movie projects, including the comedy “They Came From Upstairs” and a pilot for a CW series called “Hellcats.” Tisdale also started her own production company, Blondie Girl Productions . Are you excited to see Tisdale return as Sharpay one more time? Tell us in the comments! Related Artists Ashley Tisdale

Ashley Tisdale Has Returned to Her Roots

Getty Images. Tisdale is a natural brunette. Last year, High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale ditched her Sharpay-blonde locks in favor of a more natural looking chestnut hue. Tisdale, a natural brunette, said she needed to give her hair some time to recover from all the chemical processing that had become part of her job. A few months later, she switched back to blonde. Now it seems that Tisdale is taking another break, as she debuted a much darker 'do at the Hollywood premiere of Miley Cyrus' new film, The Last Song . Brown hair seems to suit Tisdale better than blonde, as it makes her skin and eyes appear more luminous. She also looks adorable with a layered cut instead of all those hair extensions! I obviously prefer Ashley as a blonde, but what do you think? Brunette or blonde?
