It Be Your Own Kids: Elementary School Student Brought Meth To School To Report His Parents

Source: Daniel Kaesler / EyeEm / Getty Child Reported His Parents By Bringing Their Drugs To School One elementary school student in Washington brought a bag of meth to class to turn it into his principal. The young boy brought the drugs to Edison Elementary to ask for help, according to the Kennewick Police Department and now, local authorities are praising the “brave” young boy for having the courage to turn in his own parents. “We would like to acknowledge the courage that it took for this child to bring this information to a trusted adult at the Kennewick School District,” says a post on the Kennewick Police Department Facebook page. The principal and an office administrator were befuddle when the child handed over what appeared to be a small plastic bag of methamphetamine. He reportedly found the drugs in his home on Wednesday morning and ended up bringing it to school because he was “afraid to return home.” “This particular child was brave for coming to us with this,” said Lt. Aaron Clem of the Kennewick Police Department to Yahoo Lifestyle . “It’s difficult, especially for an elementary school kid, to report this kind of thing when it involves a family member.” Once the child provided additional information to a School Resource Officer about his parents’ behavior, the detectives went to his home where they found they found fetanyl pills and other drug paraphernalia. “I suspect that he had seen the drugs before, which is why he knew to bring them to school,” Clem continued. The boy’s parents, 29-year-old Jennifer Edwards 29-year-old and Daniel O’Leary, were then arrested for possession of a controlled substance and are currently booked at the Benton County Jail. According to local authorities, the boy and his sister have bpth been placed into protective custody and released to Child Protective Services. The Lt. said, “We hope that since he’s done this that he and his sister are going to live in a safer and environment and that the adults they get the help that they need.” The Benton County prosecuting attorney will evaluate the case later this week to see if there are any other possible charges, like child endangerment. Clem adds that he hopes that other children who may feel unsafe at home will feel empowered to come get help from any trusted adult. “If there’s ever any elementary child, or older, that sees something at home, they can always find a trusted adult— whether it’s at school, a fire department or the police department— and get the help that they need or with any concerns that they may have.”

Loyola has an 8:1 teacher-to-student ratio and a nationally recognized debate team. Graduates will also be supported as they begin their college experience through the school’s High School to College Transition program. Over half of the students in this year’s graduating class will be the first in their families to attend college. They received over 100 college acceptance letters and collectively earned over $1 million in scholarships. The students celebrated their acceptances with a signing day hosted by former NBA player Jimmy King and sportscaster George Blaha . “Detroit needs strong college preparatory education,” school President Fr. Mark Luedtke, S.J. said in a statement, according to Rolling Out.  “If we invest in what’s good for the city and what’s good for our young people, our schools will produce students ready for the next challenge in their professional lives. High School Graduate Who Received 139 College Acceptance Letters Is Headed To Xavier University Of Louisiana

The rest is here:

R eceiving over 100 college acceptance letters can be overwhelming for a high school graduate, but for 18-year-old Normandie Cormier , it was clear that she would begin her next chapter at a historically Black college and university. According to USA Today , after being accepted to 139 colleges through the Common App and the Common Black College App, the Louisiana native has decided to further her education at Xavier University in New Orleans. Most parents and guidance counselors advise high school seniors to apply to more than one college — to have at least one “backup school.” Well, Normandie Cormier of Lafayette had more than 100 backups. https://t.co/JFTxju45Cc — azcentral (@azcentral) May 29, 2019 Cormier has always displayed excellence when it came to academics. Early on she decided that she wanted to enter a program that allowed her to simultaneously earn her high school diploma and a college degree. With the support of her family, she enrolled in Early College Academy which is a part of South Louisiana Community College’s campus. Outside of school, she was very involved in her local community, often mentoring young girls who want to pursue careers in STEM, tutoring youngsters and adults, and volunteering at a nursing home. The journey hasn’t been easy for Cormier. She’s dealt with several immune system issues which have caused many hospital visits. Despite her health ailments, she prevailed. She ended up graduating with a high school diploma and an associate’s degree. Her dedication to her education and making a positive impact in her community caught the attention of higher education institutions across the globe and earned her $8.7 million in scholarships and grants from GE, Burger King and other companies and organizations. Her hospital visits led her to choose a career path in medicine. “Since I was a child, I was always in and out of the hospital,” Cormier told USA Today. “When I was young, it affected my self-esteem. But now I can use it to inspire others.” She said selecting Xavier University of Louisiana was an easy decision because her personal goals are aligned with the school’s values. The aspiring doctor hopes that her journey will inspire others. Jennifer Love Hewitt Sauna Tits of the Day

I am from the school of thought that all women are sluts. It is not their choice, it is just how they are genetically coded, and it is not a bad thing as I love sluts…. Now you may not agree with me, because you know that so many women haven’t been sluts with you…and you may also reflect on celebrities you’ve never seen naked and thought “well she’s not a slut, even though i wish she was”…without realizing that it takes a certain kind of girl to even end up a celebrity, so a lot of her SLUT happens behind closed doors when the cameras are off…. Some sluts may never come out as being sluts, they may never turn to their inner soul and officially find their calling, meaning or purpose….because they oppress those feelings…while other sluts are slutty from the age of 16….. But in most cases, by the time a slut is in her mid-40s the slut starts to surface, it comes with her being comfortable in her own skin, knowing it’s almost over for her, and that when she’s slutty in the 55+ retirement community…it will get way less viral appeal…even if it gets way more viruses… Ultimately we are all just human and that is a series of having tits to show off, and being the people excited by the tits being showed off. So here’s Jennifer Love Hewitt naked in the Sauna…tits exposed…more than they’ve ever been exposed even though they are tits we’ve loved for a long time…because thanks to social media she sees how excited her audience gets from her tits…and it has been a build up to this….next up…SPREAD pussy. Smith pledged to pay off the student loan debt for the entire 2019 graduating class. Morehouse College seniors got a surprise Sunday when billionaire investor Robert F. Smith announced during his commencement speech that he would pay off their student loan debt https://t.co/oNsu57sS3w pic.twitter.com/eYyi8q2jpe — CNN (@CNN) May 19, 2019 The historically Black college awarded Smith with an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree for being a trailblazer in the realm of business. The entrepreneur and investor—who founded and leads the venture capital firm Vista Equity Partners—has invested in the progression of Morehouse. In January, he donated $1.5 million to the school for the creation of a scholarship fund and the addition of an outdoor study area on campus. Unbeknownst to students and faculty, Smith planned on topping that generous donation by giving graduates the gift of being student loan debt free through the establishment of a new a grant. “On behalf of the eight generations of my family who have been in this country, we’re going to put a little fuel in your bus. Now, I know my class will make sure they pay this forward,” he said during his speech. “I want my class to look at these (alumni) — these beautiful Morehouse brothers — and let’s make sure every class has the same opportunity going forward because we are enough to take care of our own community. We are enough to ensure we have all the opportunities of the American dream.” There were 400 seniors that were a part of the graduating class and Smith’s gift is estimated to be $40 million. The graduates were overjoyed and many of them were in disbelief. Morehouse President David A. Thomas says that the erasure of debt will be a key factor in helping the graduates thrive. Student loan debt has continued to rise within our country. According to Forbes , there is currently $1.5 trillion owed. Paying it forward is nothing new to Smith. He was the National Museum of African American History and Culture’s largest private donor and has been an advocate for education and combating global poverty. SEE ALSO: Robert F.
