Justin Bieber tweets ‘I miss you’ to girlfriend Selena Gomez – Los Angeles Times (blog)

Justin Bieber misses his girlfriend, Selena Gomez, the pop star tweeted Sunday. Call it a public display of affection for the digital age. Gomez, the Disney darling who stepped out with the Biebs recently at the Vanity Fair Oscar party, is in Hidalgo, Texas, while Bieber is on tour in Europe. “I miss all of y’all,” she tweeted back. So, who are these “y’all”? Well, Bieber didn’t single out Gomez in his tweets. He sent “I miss you” messages to four other friends, Ryan Butler, Shaz Comers, Scooter Braun and Wilson Warren. Still feeling special there, Selena? He then went tweet-happy and posted several lines from rapper Drake’s music. The hashtag “#drakelines” began trending soon after, proving once again that Justin Bieber and his fans have a terrifying amount of influence on Twitter. Usher’s Canadian-bred mentee, who made headlines for cutting his signature hair and selling the locks on EBay for charity, also decided to make another ‘do-related decision. “Im not shaving for a month so you all can see my mustache… im pumped,” he wrote on the micro-blogging site. So we have to ask: How much do teen-idol facial-hair clippings go for on EBay these days? Justin Bieber’s Bieberheads

It went from his mom sharing home videos of him singing on YouTube to an international music career replete with celebrity friends and screaming, rioting fans—all before he even had a driver’s license. Justin Bieber ’s rise was a meteoric one, from humble beginnings in Ontario, Canada to accidentally being discovered by manager Scooter Braun to becoming a protégé for R&B star Usher and developing the kind of fan base that makes you fear for your life.

Justin Bieber, Chris Brown Go ‘Up’ On New Remix

Bieber and Brown trade verses, harmonize on their Never Say Never – The Remixes collaboration. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber Photo: Larry Busacca/ Getty Images Earlier this week, Justin Bieber released the Never Say Never – The Remixes album, which reimagines some of the teenage phenom’s songs as duets with some of the biggest names in the business, including Kanye West, Miley Cyrus, Rascal Flatts and Chris Brown. Brown appears on the mid-tempo ballad, “Up,” which is about the power of love and relationships. The R&B star, unsurprisingly, helps put a decidedly more R&B spin on the pop track, which has begun to turn up on various websites. Bieber kicks off the track before Brown jumps on for the second verse. Brown sings, “It’s a big, big world/ And, girl, I’m gonna show you all of it/ I’m gonna leash you with pearls/ From every ocean that we’re swimmin’ in/ We make the sun shine in the moonlight/ We can make those gray clouds turn to blue skies/ Yeah, I know it’s hard/ But baby believe me/ [That we can go nowhere but up].” By the time the second chorus rolls around, Bieber and Brown are harmonizing and putting their own individual stamps on the song. News of the collaboration first hit the Web in late December, when Bieber and Brown tweeted about working together, though little more was known about the collaboration then. The 16-year-old said he and Brown had a great time in the studio and that Brown even had given him some sage advice, having been a child star himself and seen the ups and downs of fame at an early age. “[Chris and I] just talk about regular stuff, nothing too crazy,” Bieber told MTV News earlier this week. “Just like staying humble and remember that God got us in this position, so always make sure to just bless him and praise him.” Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, teased the album and its guest appearances in a chat with fans earlier this year. “Yes, Justin is working on new music,” Braun said last month. “He’s been talking to Drake about new music. [Bieber] and Kanye had a call today about a song they’re trying to work on together; Kanye wants to produce a bunch of new songs for the new album. He’s talked with Rascal Flatts. Him and Chris Brown have been sending stuff back and forth to each other.” Have you heard Bieber and Brown’s “Up” remix and, if so, what do you think of it? Tell us in the comments. Justin Bieber Says He’s Not Just Some Industry ‘Packaged Thing’

‘I’ve been playing music ever since I was born and it’s always been in me,’ teen superstar tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Sway Calloway Justin Bieber Photo: Brian Phares/MTV News Justin Bieber will have his loyal fans and even his harshest critics saying “Never Say Never” when his 3-D flick opens on Friday. The movie offers an inside look at Bieber’s rise to stardom and the hard work and determination the teen star put in before hitting it big. For those who may not realize that Bieber is more than just a record label puppet created to pander to throngs of teenage girls, the film also shows that the 16-year-old is a skilled musician. “People didn’t really know,” he explained to MTV News. “They didn’t understand that I’ve been playing music ever since I was born and it’s always been in me. And this movie is really going to show that I’m not just some packaged thing that some A&R put together. It was actually just me living my dream and just making music.” He later joked that he also wasn’t molded in manager Scooter Braun’s basement. “Yeah, [he] just cut my hair like this [and made me what I am]!” At the New York screening for the film last week, Bieber spoke to us about what he hopes his fans will take away from the film. It is part concert film, part documentary, complete with interviews from some of the people closest to the teen phenom. It also features cameos by Miley Cyrus, Usher and Ludacris, to name a few, during concert performances filmed at Madison Square Garden last September, and interviews. In the film, Bieber is seen skillfully playing piano, drums and guitar. “Fans will be really excited to see that I’m just a regular 16-year-old having fun, just living my dream,” he said. “And it’s possible for anyone to live theirs.” Hot on the heels of his movie’s premiere, Bieber will be performing at Sunday’s Grammy Awards , where he promises “some surprises.” He’s been nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album. Don’t miss “Snooki & Sway: Live From the Grammys,” a red-carpet live stream kicking off Sunday at 6 p.m. ET on MTV.com. His debut release, ” My World” , followed on November 17, 2009, and was eventually certified platinum in the United States Selena Gomez (born July 22, 1992) is an American actress, singer, and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador who is best known for her contributions in the role of Alex Russo to the Emmy Award-winning Disney Channel television series ” Wizards of Waverly Place”.

Bieber’s manager scoots around THAT question.

Justin Bieber’s Scooter Braun says Bieber should stay single While rumors that The Biebs and Selena Gomez have been getting pretty cozy (and the proof is in the photos), could he be just playing the field? Who knows what is really going on in the mind of the teen sensation, but his manager Scooter Braun has advised Baby Biebs to stay single “unless [he] can give someone everything”. Does that necessarily mean he’ll listen? Hell no. MTV News is reporting that Scooter Braun took part in a web chat that posed many questions relating to Biebs, including that rumored relationship with Wizards of Waverly Place star Selena Gomez. And instead of confirming or denying, Braun said, “Everyone says I’m ignoring a certain issue that you all want to know about. Everybody wants to know something. Here’s what I’m going to tell you. This kid travels a lot and I always told him, I was always like, ‘You shouldn’t be in a relationship unless you can give someone everything. I know that him and the person you’re asking about are really close friends and have been for a while. As far as I know, that’s what they are.” Hmm, well apparently friends do this?
