Casey Wilson’s two-season career on Saturday Night Live concluded abruptly , but since she exited Studio 8H last year, she’s proved herself a viable sitcom draw: The 30-year-old writer/actress picked up a recurring role on TV Land’s upcoming Retired at 35 and a starring role on ABC’ s newest ensemble comedy Happy Endings , which kicks off in April. We caught up with Casey last week at the TCA winter press tour in Pasadena.

Kanye West wants to produce Justin Bieber ‘s new album. The ‘Power’ hip-hop star has previously collaborated with Justin on a remix of his track ‘Runaway Love’, which he released last year, and teen sensation singer’s manager, Scooter Braun confirmed yesterday (05.01.11) they are planning to work together again. In an online web chat, Scooter said: “Justin and Kanye had a call, about a song they’re trying to work on together. Kanye wants to produce a bunch of new songs for his new album.” He wouldn’t, however, give away the title of the song or any ideas as to how it will sound. Justin, 16, has long had ties with the hip-hop and R ‘n’ B worlds, having been mentored by Usher after he was discovered on YouTube, and he recently appeared in a video from a studio with rapper P. Diddy where he was initiated into his Dirty Money crew, and taught how to do their trademark swaggering walk. Justin’s album, ‘My Worlds’ was named the third most successful of 2010, selling 5.8 million copies.

Carter Diddy, Justin Bieber and MTV’s Sway Calloway Photo: Bad Boy On Tuesday (December 14), RapFix and MTV News’ Sway tagged along with Diddy as the rap mogul went on a whirlwind promotional tour through New York in support of Diddy-Dirty Money’s just-released Last Train to Paris. There were many stops along the way — New York radio station Hot 97, a scorching-hot performance of “Coming Home” on “The View” — but the part of the day that’s sure to make the girls scream is when Diddy linked up with Justin Bieber. A little before 7:30 p.m., Diddy hung out with Justin at a recording studio. They were there because the Grammy-nominated teen idol had an idea for a song and needed to “get it off of his chest,” according to Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun . Apparently, this studio is like a second home for the 16-year-old pop star. But it wasn’t all laying down tracks. Braun recalled the first time Bieber met the rap impresario (on the 2009 VMA red carpet), and Diddy gifted Bieber with a Diddy-Dirty Money jacket, declaring him an honorary group member! But that gift probably can’t top the 16th-birthday present the Diddy-Dirty frontman gave the Biebs this year. His big-deal birthday present? A $200,000 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. Before we parted ways, Scooter also dished about Bieber’s upcoming 3-D movie, “Never Say Never,” calling the MTV Films release “incredible.” Diddy and his Dirty Money ladies, Dawn Richard and Kaleena, are celebrating the release of their Last Train to Paris on Tuesday night with a Ustream party. By Jocelyn Vena, with additional reporting by MTV News staff Justin Bieber Photo: James Devaney/ Getty Images Justin Bieber’s manager , Scott “Scooter” Braun, pleaded not guilty Wednesday (March 24) to charges of reckless endangerment and criminal nuisance, stemming from a scheduled Bieber mall appearance last November that turned into a stampede and injured five fans. Police allege that Braun failed to properly control the situation at Roosevelt Field Mall in Long Island, New York, when the crowd of 30,000 became unruly. At the time of the incident, police ordered Braun to send a message via Twitter to notify Bieber’s followers that the event was canceled. Braun, however, refused to send the message, police said. Authorities contend Braun eschewed safety in favor of publicity. As things got out of hand, police said, Bieber’s Twitter still read, “On my way to Roosevelt Field Mall in Long Island, NY to sign and meet fans! I’m pumped. See u there.” After news broke that Braun, 29, had turned himself in to authorities, Bieber defended his manager in a statement to PerezHilton.com . “The lawyers are saying I can’t say anything specific about what’s going on with my manager Scooter Braun,” Bieber said. “However, what I can say is that Scooter always acts in the best interests of the safety of my fans and myself. Also, I just wanted to let all my fans know that Scooter has the full support of my mother and me and we couldn’t be more grateful for all he’s done for us. Scooter — I miss you, man. Wish you were here.” TMZ posted footage of Bieber in Chicago on Wednesday afternoon sporting a “Free Scooter” T-shirt. Earlier Wednesday, Bieber tweeted his support for Braun, writing, “You’ve got my total support @scooterbraun.
