If The King’s Speech Gets Re-Edited To A PG-13, It Doesn’t Deserve The Oscar

The King’s Speech is riding high on guild love after its surprise win for Best Picture at the PGA Awards and Best Director for Tom Hooper at the DGA Awards; it may yet complete the trifecta tonight at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. At this point, it has to be considered the new odds-on favorite for Best Picture at this year’s Academy Awards. But if Harvey Weinstein follows through on his plan to re-cut the film for a more profitable rating, then, frankly, it doesn’t deserve a damned thing.

Single Scarjo: Showing Skin Soon?

Now that Scarlett Johannsson has kicked Hollywood hunk Ryan Reynolds to the proverbial curb, can fans of tits and ass expect to see her ditch her the non-nudity clause in her movie contracts as well? It could happen. It happened with Lisa Collins after she broke up with bald-headed bad boy Billy Zane and then promptly flashed funbaggage in Menage a Trois. But Scarjo (unlike Mr. Skin) probably isn’t thinking about how quickly she can get her naked knockerage up on the screen. She’s too busy sunbathing in Jamaica. “We entered our relationship with love and it’s with love and kindness we leave it While privacy isn’t expected, it’s certainly appreciated,” the couple said in a joint statement. We’ll give you privacy Scarjo, if you give us your privates.

90 Seconds of Fame: Create Your Own Andy Warhol-Style Screen Test

Between 1964 and 1966, Andy Warhol filmed a series of silent, black and white 16mm short films called “Screen Tests” that featured his hip friends like Lou Reed and Yoko Ono sitting around and doing very little for seven-minute uninterrupted takes. In celebration of their new exhibition of the Screen Tests, the Museum of Modern Art has a launched nifty interactive feature that allows you to create your own 90-second version of these screen tests. Check out some clips from the original tests for Dennis Hopper, Salvador Dali (in all of his upside-down glory) and Nico for inspiration after the jump, then go wild! And by “go wild” I mean just sit there.

Touch Paw – iPad Game for Cats & Dogs to Play

Touch Paw is two video games in one – One for dogs. One for cats. That's right… The games are for dogs & cats. To play. On your iPad. Touch Paw Dogs animates through a series of “positive” & “negative” images. If the image on the screen is positive touch the screen with your nose or paw. You receive one point for each correct answer. You lose one point for each incorrect answer. Ask your human to give you a treat when you get an answer right. Touch Paw Cats is a virtual fish tank. Tap the screen with your paw to startle & scare the fish. Eventually the fish will calm down so you can scare them again. Don't worry, they won't mind – They're virtual! Touch Paw is really goofy, fun and best of all, free. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/touch-paw/id403294344 added by: mjn

REVIEW: Philip Seymour Hoffman’s Jack Goes Boating Is Well-Crafted But Still Waterlogged

Jack Goes Boating, Philip Seymour Hoffman’s first time out directing a feature film, is such a gentle picture that at times it threatens to drift off the screen. Hoffman plays Jack, a going-nowhere, reggae-loving New York limo driver who appears never to have had a girlfriend. His closest friends, married couple Clyde (John Ortiz) and Lucy (Daphne Rubin-Vega), decide to set him up with one of Lucy’s new co-workers, Connie (Amy Ryan) — she works phone sales for a slick funeral director-bereavement guru, though she’s so awkward and tentative in this new gig that she’s in danger of losing it.

Carla Gugino in a Bikini in Some Movie of the Day

Carla Gugino is some 40 year old who I guess is best known for Sin City. I don’t really remember that movie at all and I don’t feel like looking up pictures of her, but I do know that her tits were the reason she was getting all they hype, so when I saw her in these bikini pictures in some movie called Every Day, I figured I’d post them, even if her ass lacks soul…something you’d expect as a bitch slowly melts and sags into the sunset of her life…cuz 40 is not the new 20 like the media are trying to tell you, shit’s a hell of a lot more sloppy than 20 ever was and that’ just the way it is…. Here are the screen caps…
