These days, reality stars live out their lives on two separate stages: On social media, we receive minute-by-minute, unfiltered updates on their daily lives, while on TV, we get a more polished version a few months later. So we’ve known for quite some time that Jenni Farley has a new boyfriend . And we already knew that Zack Clayton is much younger than JWoww. What we didn’t know until last night, however — what we couldn’t have known from Jenni’s Instagram posts — is that homeboy is kind of a d-bag. But perhaps we’re being unfair. First impressions are often inaccurate, and this was Zack’s first time on national television. Besides, try as he might to come off as a smug dingus who’s only there for the Insta-clout, he still couldn’t have left a worse taste in our mouths than the always-repugnant Jen Harley. Yes, before we get to the detached douchiness of “24,” we have to start at the beginning with Ronnie’s baby mama, who apparently doesn’t know the meaning of “rock bottom.” Thursday’s episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation (Now that one cast member is locked up in federal prison, it might be time to change that title. Just sayin.’) began with a birthday party for Ronnie and Jen’s 1-year-old daughter. Not surprisingly, Jen decided to ignore the “birthday” and “1-year-old” parts of that description and instead focus on the paaaaarty! Shots, margaritas, more shots … under normal circumstances, it would have been strange behavior at a toddler’s birthday party. But Jen’s single-minded focus on getting sh-tfaced was made even more bizarre by the fact that Ronnie was newly sober at the time, having just completed 6 weeks of in-patient rehab. It often felt as though Jen was less concerned with getting inappropriately hammered at a child’s birthday party and more concerned with rubbing her freedom to do so in Ronnie’s face, which is … insanely messed up. Speaking of people who are attempting to turn their lives around, Mike Sorrentino factored prominently in the episode despite the fact that he’s still munching down on tortilla pizza in a federal detention center. He made a phone call during little Ariana’s party, and Vinny and Pauly went to visit The Sitch — but not surprisingly, the COs weren’t keen on letting a Shore camera crew onto the grounds. Kinda hard to make the pitch that you’re filming a serious documentary when you’re the show that invented the “smush room.” Getting back to 24 — yeah, obviously it’s tough to judge a relationship on the basis of a single interaction, but on Twitter, fans were unimpressed with Zack’s smug superiority. You’re not gonna find a stronger, more self-possessed woman on reality TV than Jenni — we just hope she’s going into this thing with her eyes wide open. It’s been barely over a month since Tyler Cameron was spotted on a date with Gigi Hadid , but reports claim that they’re already falling in love . Whatever they may be feeling, things have grown incredibly serious between the pair of hot models. Tyler just jetted across the Atlantic to the Netherlands to accompany Gigi to her grandmother’s funeral. Yolanda Foster’s mother, Ans van den Herik, passed away last month following a very lengthy battle with cancer. That of course makes her Gigi Hadid’s beloved grandmother. Gigi referred to her as Oma. She was heartbroken by her beloved grandmother’s passing. Along with Bella, Anwar, and their mother, she attended the funeral in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. It was a somber event, but it’s good to be surrounded by family and other loved ones as you grieve. Yolanda brought her plus one, Joseph Jingoli. Anwar was also accompanied by his girlfriend, singer Dua Lipa. Though they have only been dating for a matter of weeks, Gigi brought along hunky boyfriend Tyler Cameron. The The Bachelorette alum looked dashing in his black suit as he came to pay his respects to a woman who meant so much to Gigi. He remained by Gigi’s side throughout, giving her emotional support as she said her goodbyes by her grandmother’s casket. Gigi shared the news of her grandmother’s passing on Instagram. “OUR QUEEN ANGEL fought cancer six times in her life with courage, strength, and grace,” Gigi affirmed. She noted that her Oma did so “while being the greatest mother and grandmother.” “She is an honorable guide we will carry with us forever,” Gigi praised. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a close relationship with a grandparent. Those of us lucky enough to have it treasure those memories, always. “We love you more than words,” Gigi’s beautiful Instagram tribute continued. She praised her grandmother as “our beautiful wonderful Oma.” “OMA FOREVER,” Gigi wrote on another post. It’s important to remember that someone’s passing doesn’t mean that you cannot cherish their memory for all time. In another post, Gigi simply wrote: “Rest in Paradise.” Attending a funeral is a big deal. is there a chance that Tyler and Gigi are already way more serious than people realize. People can be divided about funeral invitations and plus ones. Some of us would never in our lives invite someone to attend a funeral with us unless they were a spouse or at least engaged. Most people consider funerals for close friends and for family, not for someone you happen to be dating. However, this doesn’t mean that Gigi and Tyler are rushing into things. Gigi may have asked Tyler along — or he may have volunteered — purely for emotional support. Funerals are complicated. During the viewing beforehand, people sometimes laugh and tell jokes. That happens almost any time save the burial itself. Funerals are for the living, and the living sometimes need a comforting presence who is just there for their sake. Good for Tyler for being there for Gigi when she needed him most. Maybe it’s for the best that Tyler will not be the next Bachelor . Yes, even if it makes Bachelor Nation folks sad. This will be a change from the first three seasons, which were all eight episodes. The show has already proved to be a success with Rae earning a Golden Globe nomination last year for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. The show has also been nominated for multiple NAACP Awards, two MTV Movies and TV Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards, including one for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Issa. Hopefully, this upcoming season will be the best season yet so the awards and recognition can keep coming!
