Tori Roloff is nearing the home stretch. By which we mean the following: Tori Roloff is getting closer and closer to bringing her new baby home! The Little People, Big World still has a ways to go, of course, considering she’s due to give birth right around Thanksgiving. But still: It’s Labor Day weekend, which marks the unofficial end of summer, which means it’s not totally crazy to start thinking about autumn and the holidays that come along with it. So… how is Roloff feeling these days? Especially when you remember how down she was at one point about this second pregnancy? Doing an Instagram Story Q&A this weekend, Tori opened up once again about her physical and mental state as she heads into her third trimester. One fan, for example, asked how the reality star feeling now that’s she’s more than halfway through her latest pregnancy. “It’s been better these days,” she replied, explaining in more detail: “Baby girl is sitting really low, so she’s making my hips and hip flexors ache pretty bad.” Another person asked how Tori’s pregnancy compares to her first with son, Jackson. “Complete opposite,” Tori responded. “Jackson was a breeze compared to this pregnancy. I could have had it way worse.” This has been a constant theme for Roloff over the past several weeks. She has often made a point not to really complain, to make it clear she’s so very grateful that a life is growing inside her womb… and yet she has also been honest. She’s confessed that this hasn’t exactly been a breeze for the last three to four months. “This pregnancy has been a lot harder on me than the last,” Roloff admitted in early July, adding: “Don’t get me wrong-I’ve been so lucky… im not sick (anymore) and I haven’t had any complications (thank the lord).” What has been the issue then? “I have had a harder time accepting my body this go around,” Tori said back then, continuing as follows: “I’ve gotten bigger a lot faster than I did with Jackson and I’ve become a lot more insecure.” Because Tori is awesome, however, she concluded this July post with an inspiring message to her followers. “Us as women are so badass. Like we can grow babies,” she wrote. “And I know I need to give this up to God right and be thankful for this gift-and I’m trying trust me. But for all those women out there-pregnant or not- you need to hear this just like I do… You’re beautiful, you’re strong, and dang it love yourself no matter what. I know someone besides just me needs to hear that today. So excuse me while I go try my best to live out these words and continue growing a freaking human being. Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty Fetty Wap Loses Big In Las Vegas At The Valet The old saying goes, “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”…but it seems like the exact opposite is true when it comes to celebrities. That’s exactly the situation Fetty Wap is in the middle of right now. According to reports from TMZ , the rapper-turned-entrepreneur had an unlucky run in with the law while out in Vegas. The New Jersey native was arrested on Sunday at the Mirage after he and one of the valets got into an argument. Things ended up getting physical and Fetty allegedly punched the valet at least three times. To make the situation even more embarrassing for the public figure, Fetty was held by a fellow citizen under ‘citizens arrest’ until police arrived. Once in custody, his official cause for arrest cites “three counts of misdemeanor battery”–one for each of the punches he supposedly landed. This is the second violence-related brush with the law in less than 90 days for Fetty Wap. Back in June, the rapper was accused of assaulting a woman he met at a video shoot in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that they are investigating this event, but no charges are being issued at this time. As for this latest Las Vegas event, Fetty Wap was only in custody for a few hours before he was released, though he’s bound to have a date with the judge sooner than later.

One that she doesn’t have to constantly check up on. One that won’t end up under her bottom lip or daringly dance outside the constraints of her lip line. A red lipstick she can eat a solid meal and not end up wearing it by the end. A red lipstick that she can apply in the morning, have a cup of coffee, give a kiss to her partner and still have it look freshly applied by her first meeting of the day. It’s possible. You deserve this hot girl, no matter your morning (or night) routine. So imagine my surprise (and happiness) when I stumbled upon a such lipstick. I finally got a chance to learn more about Deck of Scarlet at BeautyCon 2019 . This company began in 2016 and is the sister company to Scentbird, a fragrance company. It’s a beauty subscription model, releasing palettes to their subscribers bi-monthly. The company has been around since 2016 and is known for providing you with consistently fresh makeup and beauty tutorials to help you create the looks. Not into the whole subscription model thing? No worries – they also allow you to shop the makeup on the website as well. They have a beautiful red lipstick in ‘Siren’ ($23.00, deckofscarlet.com ) and when I tried it out, I was instantly in love. The formula applied smooth and the pigment not only matched the website, but also the packaging. I tried this lipstick out on two different occasions and both results were the same: the lipstick held up. The interesting thing is that Deck of Scarlet doesn’t even advertise this magic, which made it feel like a beauty secret I needed to share. For the best results with matte red lipstick, I recommend a few things: Before wearing any red, I exfoliate your lips the night before, especially if it’s a matte formula. Matte formulas tend to accentuate any dead skin on the lips. Prep your lips with a lip primer (but do NOT apply an lip gloss or balm) – with a matte lipstick, it will cause the lipstick to shift no matter how great the wear is on a matte formula. A lip primer can be professional like, Lip Insurance Lip Liner ($20.00, ulta.com ) or something as simple as the concealer you use for the under eye area. Now back to the experience. I wore it one Friday summer night and was shockingly surprised by the end of the night. So surprised, I took this horrible photo in the elevator but have to share anyway. I quickly applied this lipstick before I left the house, drank rosé, ate dinner, had a little makeout sesh (hey, we said it was a hot girl summer and this hot girl is single) and went home! When I saw my lipstick was STILL and only feathered slightly. I was like, ‘alert to all hot girls!’. I even wore it with a white shirt because I was that confident about not worrying that it would transfer. The lipstick lasted all day and I got lost of compliments at work. I also noticed that it makes your teeth look whiter, meaning it most likely has cool undertones. The lipstick led me to try out one of their eyeshadow palettes. I tried ‘Destination Desert’ ($44.95, deckofscarlet.com ). I’m going to try it again, because I didn’t find it heavily pigmented and I used a primer to help bring out the color. I’m going to try it again; however, I’m going to dampen my applicator to help the color come out more. Before kids go back to school or Summer Fridays come to an end, Black women are jetting off for some last minute vacations. If the vacation involves water, whether it’s a yacht week or a beach, when discussing the trip, this follow up question ensues: how should I wear my hair ? As someone that loves the water, I want to be able to dunk my head freely underneath and jump off the side of a boat. While wearing my hair natural is always an option. Honestly, it’s an absolute pain at the end of the day, to then have to go give it 1-2 hours of TLC. Also, who wants to be twisting or braiding their hair while on a vacation? I’ve had friends rock ponytails and crotchet. Both options by the end of a 4-5 day vacation would “hold up” but it would be matted and immediately time to come out. Felicia Leatherwood stopped by Hello Beautiful and ended the debate, “Wear your hair in braids or crotchet.” Braids are easy to manage and can easily air dry. When your hair is braided after you are at the sea of the pool, make sure you rinse your braids with fresh water. Then tie down the top and let air dry. You can even do this after you are done swimming at the pool and still lay out during the day. To make sure the braids themselves don’t frizz, bring along the mousse of your choice. Take the mousse and rub it between your hands, then rub your braids once in a downward direction, letting the mousse coat the braids. The mousse will give the braids a nice refresh. Also, in a protective style, don’t forget your scalp! Make sure you cleanse and oil your scalp to keep your roots healthy. Leatherwood shared, “On your scalp you need oil. It’s nourishment. A Black-owned real estate development firm is on a mission to address gentrification within the city of Atlanta. According to Black Enterprise , a division of the real estate company H.J. Russell & Co., dubbed Russell New Urban Development LLC, is working towards providing affordable housing for Atlanta residents impacted by the wrath of the city’s changing landscape. The properties are located in Old Fourth Ward and Reynoldstown. All of the units are subsidized, and residents will have to pay 30 percent of their annual income for rent. Organizers of the $22.3 million project say that they are dedicated to bridging the housing affordability gap for low-income families and are on a mission to provide quality housing for Atlantans impacted by gentrification. “Our investment to enhance affordable housing underscores our dedication to building communities, and at the same time, enhancing the living environments of some of the city’s most vulnerable residents who also deserve quality housing in the heart of Atlanta,” President of H.J. Russell & Co. H. Jerome Russell , said in a statement, according to the news outlet. “With the completion of these renovations, along with the stipulations on these projects, we have effectively preserved a significant amount of affordable housing for seniors and families in the heart of Atlanta for the next 20 years.” There has been a push to create more affordable housing options in major cities.
