Catelynn Lowell has had some very eventful pregnancies. It's sort of the thing that happens when you get famous and then base your entire livelihood on getting pregnant at 16. Thankfully, Catelynn has released an official statement explaining everything. And you may be surprised about what she has to say … 1. So Many! Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra have had three children together — all girls. And yes, that little detail is going to be important later. 2. Carly Back when they were teenagers, they had Carly, the daughter they placed for adoption. 3. Nova Several years later, they welcomed Nova. 4. Source: StarterCAM / HotSpotAtl.com NYPD Demands Rolling Loud Pull Several Artist Off Lineup Ahead Of Weekend Festival Since it came onto the scene, Rolling Loud has quickly taken over as hip-hop’s premier festival. Headliners have ranged from Travis Scott and J Cole to Cardi B, Kid Cudi and Future . After having success in Miami, the Bay Area, and Los Angeles, the Rolling Loud crew decided to expand its festival to New York City. The new addition was announced at the top of the year and its line up was released a few months back. View this post on Instagram #NYC Police Banned #Casanova2x #22gz #DonQ And A Few Other NYC Artist From #RollingLoud… A post shared by Hip Hops Tv (@hiphopstv) on Oct 11, 2019 at 10:10pm PDT Fast forward to this weekend, the first annual New York City Rolling Loud stage is set–but the NYPD says not so fast. In a letter sent to Rolling Loud, Assistant Police Chief Martin Morales requested the festival pull several of their performers due to safety issues. The list of required removals includes NYC’s rookie of the year PopSmoke, Casanova , Sheff G, Don Q, and 22GZ. They even included their government names so there isn’t any confusion as to who needs to leave. Over the years, NYC has been notorious for having what the music industry calls the “Hip-Hop Police,” a dedicated unit that just watches rappers and their social media to harass them once they touch down in the Big Apple. This weekend, the reason for the demands from the police department are cited as a concern for safety, as the acts listed reportedly have a “history of violence”. Many cite the hip-hop police for Meek Mill’s former incident and arrest, which went down when he was driving a dirt bike in the city. After successfully taking down the Nine Trey Bloods, we wouldn’t put it past the NYPD to go for its victory lap over at Rolling Loud. Stay safe folks! Robert Forster, the beloved actor whose career enjoyed an unexpected revival after he starred in Quentin Tarantino’s Jackie Brown, died of brain cancer at his home in Los Angeles on Friday. He was 78 years old. The sad news was confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter by Forster’s publicist. Forster’s passing came just hours after his final performance, as he played a role in El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, which was released on Netflix on October 11. The veteran star also made a final appearance in Last Man Standing last year, portraying the father of Tim Allen’s character. “A truly gifted actor and one of the loveliest people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. RIP Robert,” wrote Last Man Standing actress Nancy Travis on Twitter Friday in response to the sad development. Forster appeared on 10 episodes of this ABC sitcom. Still, he was best known for his work on the big screen. He made his film debut opposite Marlon Brando and Elizabeth Taylor in John Huston’s Reflections in a Golden Eye (1967) and then received rave reviews as an ethically challenged cameraman in Haskell Wexler’s ultra-realistic Medium Cool (1969). Forster was a successful box office draw for over a decade — but his career than took a dip. By the early 1990s, the actor was down to supporting roles in such low-budget efforts as Maniac Cop 3: Badge of Silence, Body Chemistry 3: Point of Seduction and Scanner Cop II… while supplementing his income with speaking engagements. Until Tarantino entered the picture, that is. In 1997, Tarantino directed Forster to an Oscar-nominated performance in Jackie Brown. Filmmaker David Lynch later cast him as a detective in Mulholland Drive — and Forster would go on to work with Lynch again in 2017, playing Sheriff Frank Truman in Showtime’s Twin Peaks revival. “I went 21 months without a job. I had four kids, I took any job I could get,” Forster told the Chicago Tribune in 2018, adding: “My career went like this for five years and then like that for 27. “Every time it reached a lower level I thought I could tolerate, it dropped some more, and then some more. Near the end I had no agent, no manager, no lawyer, no nothing. I was taking whatever fell through the cracks.” Forster’s other credits over the recent years have included Firewall, Me, Myself and Irene, Lucky Number Slevin and Olympus Has Fallen. Forster said that when his career was at its lowest ebb, he had what he called an “epiphany.” “It was the simple one,” he said, “when you realize, ‘You know what? You’re not dead yet, Bob. You can win it in the late innings. You’ve still got the late innings, but you can’t quit. Never quit.'” He is survived by his third wife, Evie, and children Elizabeth, Katherine, Maeghen and Robert. May Robert Forster rest in peace. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2019: In Memoriam

I told my friend to drive my car, hopped on the car, did my little dancing and you know, just having a good time. I’m going to put on a little show, you know. I’m in traffic anyway. Why not turn up in traffic?” According to the arrest warrant she “was unrestrained and her actions were causing other motorists to divert their attention.” The police also state that she “caused undo hazard to other motorists,” which may or may not have been the case.
B lack artists often find themselves fighting for a seat at the table when it comes to having their work featured in exhibitions at renowned art institutions. According to a study conducted by Art News , less than three percent of museum acquisitions over the past ten years have been pieces created by African American artists. Despite the exclusion from mainstream galleries and museums, they are forging paths of their own, carving out spaces where they can share their artistry with the world, and using their work as a means for social and political activism. Bronx-bred visual artist and actor Tyson Hall is one of the individuals a part of a modern-day renaissance of Black artists who are reclaiming their space in the art industry and utilizing their work to uplift and empower their communities. Hall says his passion for activism runs deep. He was born in Washington Heights, New York across the street from the Audubon Ballroom where civil rights leader Malcolm X was murdered. The activist’s impact would later influence pieces of Hall’s work that echoed his messages of Black unity and the power of Black economics; pieces that were created decades after Malcolm X’s untimely death but are still relevant with today’s social and political climate. Hall—who came of age in the Bronx during the birth of hip-hop—has also pulled inspiration from the music genre throughout his career. His first art form was graffiti and then he decided to transition his canvases from MTA trains to sketchbooks. Hall was inspired by the political messages behind the music from groups like Public Enemy and how music mogul Sean Combs remixed soulful tracks from legends like James Brown to introduce that era of music to a new generation. He says incorporating the teachings of Black leaders from the past in his artwork to uplift and inspire the next generation of creatives is something that he strives to do through his work. It was the 1996 film Basquiat that drew him closer to the idea of using art as a form of activism. “Throughout my career, I’ve taken a lot of what our ancestors have said and done and remixed those voices through visual artistic expression,” Hall told NewsOne. “I did a series titled Buy Black where one piece, in particular, had four panels that read “Buy Black” and as you go down each panel it starts to disseminate. It was representative of the short life span of a dollar within the Black community and how we should do more to support each other.” Despite the powerful messages displayed through his art, Hall says one of the most challenging parts of being a Black artist is getting his work placed in galleries and museums. Instead of waiting for these art institutions to give him an opportunity, Hall has developed his own and has created spaces for his work. His pieces are on the walls at Harlem restaurants including Angel of Harlem and Corner Social and he has donated his work for auction to charities that include The Jackie Robinson Foundation, Abyssinian Baptist Church, the MOCADA Museum, and the ARRC. Going beyond the canvas, Hall uses acting as a form of artistry. His acting credits include Paid in Full , American Gangster , and Godfather of Harlem . He does motivational speaking as an avenue to empower inner-city children to use art as a means for change. He’s also developing a platform called SOL (Solidifying Our Legacy) Media Plus which is dedicated to educating, empowering, and connecting the creative community. As far as his advice for emerging Black artists, he says to “lock in and identify with your purpose as an artist to push forward.” SEE ALSO: Issa Rae Invests In Black Woman-Led Tech Startup Diddy Donates $1M To Fund New Bronx Charter School [ione_media_gallery src=”https://newsone.com” id=”3888948″ overlay=”true”]
C ognizant of the lack of support that many Black-owned businesses receive, truck driver Edward Dillard decided to make a concerted effort to support African American-owned restaurants during his coast to coast shifts on the road. However, when the Delaware native would travel through the outskirts of major cities, he found it hard to locate Black-owned restaurants. Determined to come up with a solution to this dilemma and give African American-owned establishments exposure, he launched a platform called Eat Black Owned ; a national directory of Black-owned restaurants. There is power that lies in the Black dollar. Black buying power is worth $1.2 trillion and that number is expected to grow to $2 trillion by the year 2020. However, the life span of a dollar within the Black community only lasts for six hours. After learning about these statistics, Dillard’s mission to support local Black-owned businesses became bigger than himself and he began laying the foundation for Eat Black Owned to empower other individuals to spend their dollars at Black restaurants. “The dollar does not circulate in the Black community long at all. I think our community needs to do more to lift ourselves up,” he told NewsOne. “I hope individuals will use this site and find a restaurant to patronize that they never knew about. We spend our money with other communities and rarely ever with our own. If there were more resources for us to locate Black-owned businesses, then I believe more people would support them.” After five months of research, he compiled a list of over 2,000 restaurants and launched the website in June. Through the site, users can locate Black-owned eateries that are near their geographic location. The site allows restaurant owners and customers to add listings and Dillard created a section for individuals to leave reviews. He specifically wanted to highlight places that were located outside of major cities. Dillard also wanted to ensure that his site was inclusive of different types of businesses. He includes mom-and-pop eateries and restaurants owned by Black celebrities. “I prefer mom-and-pop restaurants because I believe they put more TLC into their food and customer service,” he said. For Dillard, the positive feedback has been rewarding. As far as what’s on the horizon for Eat Black Owned, Dillard hopes to turn it into an app. He also plans on transforming the platform into a hub for content related to the Black culinary experience and will feature recipes posted by users. Platforms like Dillard’s are needed. Research shows that Black-owned restaurants grew by 49 percent between the years 2007 to 2012. Last week, Larissa Lima snapped a selfie with Corey Rathgeber . In the aftermath, Larissa and Evelin Villegas went to war . It got very, very ugly. Things appeared to calm down a little. As Leida Margaretha (of all people!) suggested, it was mostly a misunderstanding. This week, Larissa spoke out in order to clear the air about her intense, vicious feud with Evelin. “Hey, guys, I would like to clarify the recent events,” Larissa wrote on Instagram. “As everyone knows, Corey [likes] to travel and meet up with other cast members,” she noted. Larissa continued, stating the obvious: “and we met.” It was an innocent date, which she explains in detail. Funny — when Corey met with David and Annie, we didn’t see thousands of fans accusing them of having a threesome. Larissa even furnished details of the date for the curious. “We had drinks, we played slot machine games, and talked a lot about life,” she recalled. “Nothing happened,” she confirmed. “Not even a kiss.” “I posted our picture because it was an innocent date,” Larissa emphasized. “And we are both adults.” So whatever has been going down with Corey and Evelin and their strained relationship, Larissa was not coming between them. Larissa’s initial post was simply of having bumped into Corey, of course. She changed her tune, however, when Evelin went on Instagram Live and called her “a frickin’ whore.” In response, Larissa stated that Evelin “should be more respectful toward other women.” That’s true. Also, towards sex workers. “Whore” should really drop out of use. Use “slut” as a compliment or not at all, and leave “whore” for sex workers to use if they so choose. “If she believes she is in a relationship, she should talk to her man to find out what happened,” Larissa suggested. She wrote: “instead of [making] assumptions about someone she does not even know well.” “I gave her advice and support when she [came] crying out,” Larissa revealed. Evelin had evidently been “asking me how [to] deal with haters in my [direct messages].” Both women were absolutely bombarded with hate for months from 90 Day Fiance fans who should know better. “Corey and I were not trying to ‘announce’ a relationship for publicity,” Larissa emphasized to fans, followers, and Evelin. “I’m still single and ready to find my king,” she stated. Well, Larissa is the self-styled “Queen,” so it’s natural that she’d be looking for a king. “Do you want [a] war? Let’s go to war,” she wrote to Evelin specifically. Let’s clarify who you are, OK.” Larissa strongly advised: “Deal with your problems with your man without [getting] me involved.” The feud went above and beyond name-calling, to the point where Larissa began publishing Corey’s private text messages. On the one hand, it could have been worse — he wasn’t sending her nudes or sexting her or whatever. On the other hand, he did tell Larissa a lot of Evelin’s private business, from her visa struggles to their relationship problems. Evelin was royally furious over that. If she and Corey can’t keep it together for a few weeks of turmoil, maybe they’re really not meant to be. That’s not Larissa’s fault.
