Nicole Murphy , 51, appeared on The Wendy Williams Show today to tell her story behind the smooch that ran Lela Rochon off the internet temporarily. As far as her having a full-on affair, Murphy says “trust me, I wish it didn’t happen. It was a moment where I should’ve thought more through the situation. Make better judgments. It’s something I apologized for.” SEE ALSO: Nicole Murphy Caught Lip-Locking With Lela Rochon’s Husband Antoine Fuqua [PHOTOS] A lot of people had the impression that Murphy was a friend of Lela’s according to a statement released on her behalf and she clarified that that was a lie. “I did not put out that statement,” she revealed. “I did not release that statement, Wendy.” Nicole still seems embarrassed over the incident but she pulled it together to look into the camera and apologize to Lela publicly. Source: Antonio Garcia / EyeEm / Getty On Monday, a hog farmer in Iowa was found guilty for the murder of his wife , who died in November 2018 after being impaled with a corn rake. According to reports from The Telegraph Herald , a jury in Dubuque County convicted 43-year-old Todd Mullis of first-degree murder in the death of his wife Amy Mullis. The conviction carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole. This conviction comes almost a year after Amy was found on the couple’s farm with the tool lodged in her back. Police said back in March that Amy’s death came not long after Todd learned that she had multiple affairs behind his back. She had apparently warned people beforehand that if her husband caught ever her cheating, “he might make me disappear.” She also was said to have told a friend that if she ever vanished, “you’ll know Todd did something to me.” Well, she was right. Email Submit Todd insisted to authorities that his wife simply fell on the sharp tool while by herself, but medical examiners found six puncture wounds and noted the rake was four-pronged. During the trial, Dr. Kelly Kruse–the forensic pathologist who performed the autopsy on Amy’s body–testified Amy’s cause of death was sharp-force injuries of the torso, saying that Amy was impaled at least twice and possibly three times by the corn rake. Back in March, it was reported that Todd called 911 the day his wife died. He told police that he removed the rake and started driving his wife to the hospital, which is when they were met by an ambulance who rushed Amy to the emergency room. That is where she was declared dead. Text “RICKEY” to 71007 to join the Rickey Smiley Morning Show mobile club for exclusive news. ( Terms and conditions ). Amy and Todd were married in 2004, and had three children together. Police learned during their investigation that the couple’s marital problems began in 2013, when Todd caught Amy cheating. Even though Todd continued to tell detectives the relationship was fine, police eventually learned a second lover was discovered last summer. That second lover, Jerry Frasher, testified in trial, and told police that Amy had said she wanted to leave her husband but was “scared to death” of him. Defense attorney Gerald Feuerhelm told The Telegraph Herald Todd would appeal the court’s ruling. Despite getting launched into fame so quickly, though, Jerome is still a humble guy who likes the simple things in life. The actor stopped by GQ to talk about a few of his favorite things, listing the top 10 products he just can’t live without. While most celebs do this series and list jewelry and other material items, Jharrel is a sucker for the sentimental things: he keeps a photo of his mother and his grandfather’s watch on him at all times. Source: @JustInMyView / R1 Digital It’s no secret that Tekashi 6ix9ine has become the most famous snitch in pop culture since Salvatore “Sammy The Bull” Gravano flipped on J ohn Gotti and the Gambino crime family back in the late 90’s. With countless memes having been made comedically highlighting his dime dropping ways, Tekashi’s name has become synonymous with snitching across the Hip-Hop world with little to no sympathy for the troll turned government informant. But what will become of the rainbow-haired rapper once he gets out of prison and presumably thrown into the witness protection program? Will he still have a career in rap? Would artists and producers be willing to work with him as he walks around with that bright as his hair scarlet “S” on his person? Could he even live a normal life in the age of social media? The New York Times recently published a piece exploring what could await Daniel Hernandez once he gets out of prison and possibly leaves his Tekashi 6ix9ine days behind him. Minya Oh, best known as Miss Info, the founder of the hip-hop news website MissInfo.tv and a former host on the rap radio station Hot 97 in New York, called the 6ix9ine saga a “Greek telenovela tragicomedy,” and predicted that he would face a complex conundrum upon being released: curiosity would be at an all-time high, but within the hip-hop community, so would animus. “In the attention economy, just knowing that 6ix9ine might open his mouth somewhere is like shipping platinum,” she said. “But nobody with any of their own value will ever stand next to him. So he has to exist in a vacuum and can’t leave his house. All doable things for an artist in 2019 and beyond.” Labels would be reticent to allow their artists to work with him, Ms. Oh added, “But they all think when he gets out of jail, he will be a big draw.” But at what cost to the reputation of the label or the artist they pair with Hip-Hop’s “Henry Hill” ? Should Tekashi try and find that there is no path for him to get back into the rap game on the monumental scale he was at the height of his pre-snitch career, he can always go about the life of an everyday civilian getting by on a 9 to 5. Such a path would not be unprecedented. The government has successfully relocated and protected high-profile witnesses in the past; mobsters have started over as bakery owners, and reformed assassins have found new careers as doll salesmen, two former federal law enforcement officials said. “Despite how connected we are, and the appetite for social media content in this country, there are places where, if this kid gets a haircut and wears normal clothes, no one would know or care who he is,” said Jay Kramer, a former F.B.I. official who worked on organized crime cases. He might have to come out of pocket to get rid of his very recognizable face tattoos though as it doesn’t seem like the US is going to be coming out of pocket for cosmetic purposes. There is almost nothing in Mr. Hernandez’s background that suggests a capacity for discretion, and it is unlikely the United States Marshals Service, which runs the witness protection program, would pay for the removal of Mr. Hernandez’s signature face tattoos. If Tekashi decides to keep his facial features intact he might as well be signing his own death warrant because that alone is that visible scarlet letter that the world has become familiar with.
Source: VALERIE MACON / Getty W e already got a film revolving around Frank Lucas portrayed by Denzel Washington in American Gangster , now its Nicky Barnes turn. Collider is reporting that Will Smith will take on the role of the Harlem crime boss in the Netflix film The Council . Two-time Oscar nominee @WillSmith finds his 'American Gangster,' as he's set to play notorious NYC crime boss Nicky Barnes in the Netflix movie 'The Council.' https://t.co/hYySb58gqk — Collider (@Collider) September 24, 2019 The Council will see the actor teaming up with Peter Landesman again who also wrote Concussion which Smith also starred in. Per Collider: Concussion filmmaker Peter Landesman wrote the script, which delves into the never-before-told story of a crime syndicate consisting of seven African-American men who ruled Harlem in the 1970s and early ’80s. This was no ordinary crime syndicate, as the men dreamed of a self-sufficient and self-policing African American city-state, funded by revolutionizing the drug game. The movie centers on the Shakespearean court intrigue between The Council’s king, Nicky Barnes, dubbed “Mr. Untouchable” by the New York Times, and all the different members — as one unlikely rising protégé emerges. The Council won’t be Barnes first time on the big screen. In 2007’s American Gangster he was portrayed by Cuba Gooding Jr. and wasn’t too pleased that story revolved around Lucas. Barnes was arrested and sentenced to life in prison without parole. He eventually became a federal informant after he became upset with how his criminal empire was being run while he was behind bars. Barnes was released in 1998 and placed in witness protection. He passed away in 2012, information about his death wasn’t released until this year. Last month, Kathryn Dennis and Thomas Ravenel wrapped up their custody war with more or less of a draw. That may change, however, and not just because of Thomas’ guilty plea to assault and battery. Kathryn has new evidence that the court may want to consider, starting with a video of Thomas doing drugs. According to court documents obtained by The Daily Mail , Thomas Ravenel may be in hot water with Charleston family court. In a new video submitted to the court, he appears to be taking hallucinogenic mushrooms at a party. “I’ve never tried this in my life,” Thomas says in the reported video. He takes out a baggie, filled with what are implied to be psychotropic fungi. “Just one,” he then says. “Just one.” “You’re gonna do that right now?” a woman’s incredulous voice can be heard saying. “Thomas, no!” the wise voice admonishes. “No, you’re, like, gonna geek out right now!” If one were to partake in hallucinogens, particularly those they have never taken before, they would want to do so with a sober babysitter to make sure that they do not have a bad reaction. Experimenting with drugs in a crowd can be … dangerous. Even if you don’t have a health crisis, you might strip off your clothes or soil yourself. “I wouldn’t want to do it,” the woman advises him. “I don’t want to hallucinate.” As someone who once had an allergic reaction that plagued him with days of hallucinations, I’d have to agree. Thomas, however, sounded indifferent over the potential use of the alleged substance during the video. “It’s just mushrooms,” he tells the woman dismissively. Interestingly, this is not the first time that Thomas and “magic mushrooms” have come up recently. In an affidavit, Thomas was accused of having advised a friend that said fungus, despite its properties, will not show up in urine tests. Kathryn was clearly concerned that Thomas might find ways to bypass court-ordered urine tests designed to keep Kensie and Saint safe. Kathryn’s affidavit also accused Thomas of having sent her a video in which he calls his child by the wrong name and slurs his words. The implication is that he must have been under the influence, in defiance of court orders. “The time that we had a pool party,” Kathryn recalls of their personal history. “And,” she narrates. “Thomas was so drunk while holding Kensie that he fell into the pool with her as a baby.” Kathryn continues: “and I had to jump in to grab Kensie:” She also cites “the Christmas where Thomas flew into a range [sic] and threw the Christmas tree that I had decorated across the room.” “The time he put my fake fur coat in a tub full of water…” Kathryn recalls. She makes reference to “the time he threw a lamp at me and glass shattered everywhere;” “And,” Kathryn’s written recollection mentions. “The time he threw an astray [sic] in my face.” These are horrifying accusations, and it seems that Kathryn wishes to connect Thomas’ alleged drug use with his abhorrent behavior. There is another disgusting incident mentioned in court documents. “And the time …when he masturbated on my back while I was asleep,” Kathryn writes. She says that he did this “because he was mad at me for rejecting his advances for sex (because I was exhausted and pregnant).” “I also discovered that he had been watching muscleman porn that night,” she concludes. For the record, I don’t know exactly what muscleman porn is even after looking it up (yes, I put that in my search history; I’m so brave). The important part of that accusation is ejaculating upon someone without her consent in order to feel in control and powerful. Kathryn is concerned that Thomas is up to his old tricks and violating the custody terms. Will the court agree? View Slideshow: Kathryn Dennis: I Can PROVE Thomas Ravenel is an Unstable Liar!
A tlanta native Chelesa Fearce is living proof that you can rise above your circumstances and overcome the odds. Despite battling homelessness throughout her high school years, she went on to be named valedictorian of her class, graduated from Spelman College and is now a student at Yale University, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. Chelesa Fearce was homeless in high school. Now she'll be pursuing a medical degree and PhD at Yale University https://t.co/M0ODG4XT0p #10TV — 10TV.com (@10TV) September 12, 2019 Fearce, 23, is currently pursuing her MD–PhD degree at the Yale School of Medicine; a major step towards her goal of launching a career in psychiatry. Fearce’s journey to the prestigious Ivy League school was no easy feat. While attending Charles R. Drew High School in Riverdale, Georgia she and her family were homeless. She would often go without food and would use the stove lights at motels for her studying sessions. Despite living in those conditions, she earned a 4.5 grade point average and was named valedictorian of her class in 2013. Her academic accomplishments garnered her a full scholarship to Spelman College. After graduating from the historically Black college with a degree in biochemistry, she went on to work for a national health agency and started the next step in her academic journey at Yale last month. Fearce says her experience with homelessness instilled values that she has taken with her throughout every stage of her life. “Homelessness taught me how to work hard, always persevere and never let anything get in my way,” she told the news outlet. “It really helped show my resilience when I applied for college and medical school.” Fearce and her family have been dedicated to paying it forward and helping those in need. There was a scholarship named in her honor for homeless students determined to further their education. Her mother Reenita Shepherd has become the foster parent of four children and is currently serving as a caretaker for a former homeless shelter director. Source: Rodin Eckenroth / Getty Will & Jada Were Worried Jaden Smith Was Wasting Away On His Vegan Diet Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith became really worried about their son Jaden’s diet when he tried going vegan at one point. The couple expressed this concern on Monday’s episode of Red Table Talk , where the entire Smith family sat down and discussed their relationships with food. This all happened after Will called an “emergency” meeting with them, along with Willow, Trey, and Adrienne Banfield-Jones. The family all ended up admitting that their relationship with food wasn’t the healthiest. The conversation began with Will opening up about gaining weight on a recent vacation and being deemed “Pudgemuffin” by the women in his family, saying that for him, eating food is “like an addict.” On the other hand, Jada and Jaden are the exact opposite. Both of them said that they would rather not eat than snack throughout the day, calling it “uncomfortable.” That’s when Will and Jada discussed the intervention they had for their son. “Will and I had a bit of an intervention with Jaden because he’s a vegan now, but we realized he wasn’t getting enough protein,” Jada explained. “So he was wasting away. He just looked drained, he was just depleted, he wasn’t getting the nutrients.” Will also said that Jaden had “dark circles” under his eyes. “There was even a little grayness to his skin,” Will continued. “We got really nervous. But you’re definitely looking better now.” Jaden went on to clarify that he’s now vegetarian after trying to be vegan, then went on to further explain his eating habits. “I was just eating like two meals a day…maybe one. Maybe just that one big meal and I’m like, ‘Oh, you know, I didn’t get around to it.’” Check out the entire episode of Red Table Talk with the Smith family down below:
