The music event will return to Chicago from November 17 to the 30th while an all new location is set for Atlanta from November 1 to the 15th. The major events will shine light on the unique culture each city has to offer. Over 50 artists across 15 curated events will take part in the festivities, which include world premieres, exhibitions, club nights, conversations and more. Meanwhile, some top tier talent will headline the show. The Atlanta festival will bring out such stars as Teyana Taylor and Ari Lennox , while trap music innovators Shawty Redd, Zaytoven and Lex Luger will discuss the genre in a panel. Rapper Denzel Curry ‘s alter ego, Zeltron, is even expected to go face to face with Joey Bada$$ in the wrestling ring. In Chicago, the city’s native Lupe Fiasco will perform his classic album Food & Liquor in full. Meanwhile, rapper extraordinaire Tierra Whack will headline her first Chicago show. Another Chicago native Jamila Woods will also strip down her Legacy! Legacy! album in a discussion. Source: Sean M. Haffey / Getty Colin Kaepernick still can’t seem to land a team despite reports that he’s willing to be a backup quarterback. According to CBS Sports , Kaepernick’s agent has contacted various teams this week in hopes of landing a quarterback position for his client. However, the teams aren’t biting. ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith says that Kaepernick’s camp has reached out to the Steelers. “Essentially, they’re not interested,” Smith said this week. Smith further explained that Kaepernick’s camp “contacted the Jets, no word on them yet. They’ve contacted the Saints. They didn’t get their phone calls returned.” To make matters worse, all three of these teams have added a quarterback since Tuesday morning. The Saints signed J.T. Barrett to their practice squad and he’ll be their No. 3 player behind Teddy Bridgewater and Taysom Hill. The Steelers added Paxton Lynch to their practice squad on Tuesday and the Jets reportedly signed David Fales on Wednesday. According to Smith, Kaepernick didn’t even want to be a starting quarterback. The sports commentator says he spoke with Kaepernick’s girlfriend, Nessa Diab , last week. According to Smith, Diab told him that Kaep would be open to a backup job. “One of the things that Nessa Diab told me last week when she and I met, she said, ‘Colin Kaepernick trains five days a week, every day, all five days, at 5 a.m.,’” Smith said. “‘Working out a minimum of three hours a day, if not longer. He’s ready to go. He wants to be back in the NFL and it doesn’t have to be as a starting quarterback. It could be as a backup quarterback.’” Yet, NFL teams still seem to be staying clear of Kaepernick. This says a lot if Kaep is willing to be backup because it’s most likely he’ll be playing for backup money, which wouldn’t be a major money risk to the team that signs him. A lot of quarterbacks from major teams have also been facing injuries, so there’s usually a need for replacements. In just two weeks, Ben Roethlisberger, Drew Brees and Nick Foles have experienced serious injuries. Cam Newton also might miss a game in Week 3 due to a foot situation, and Sam Darnold is projected to miss multiple games due to mononucleosis. Meanwhile, Kaep has been ready to play. His practice videos that he posts on Instagram should serve as proof. But, per usual, the NFL still seems to be turning their back.

According to TMZ , East was cited last weekend in Las Vegas after cops interviewed multiple witnesses to an altercation he and 2 women allegedly got into following an appearance Saturday night at Drai’s Nightclub. The police report states that Dave invited two ladies to his room at the Delano hotel for sexy-time and a fight broke out. Dave East told officers that 1 woman was upset he wasn’t giving her as much attention, so she flipped out. Allegedly the angry third wheel started hurling champagne bottles at him from across the room, and 2 of ’em made contact. The rapper was struck in the head and left with cuts on his arms an legs. His injuries were apparent when cops showed up. The jilted sex partner, however, tells a different story. She says that in the middle of the sexual encounter, she and Dave got into an argument, and he threw punches 5-6 times, with one hitting her arm. She said she ran to the bathroom to call cops. She made no mention of bottles being thrown. Both parties were cited for misdemeanor battery, but nobody was arrested. Dave and the woman were treated at separate hospitals. Dave’s attorney, Stacey Richman , he got a CAT scan after the alleged incident and the results are not back yet. They deny Dave assaulted anyone. “The woman threw a soap dispenser and bottles of champagne at Dave. One of the bottles shattered on the wall, sending glass flying and cutting Dave. Another bottle hit Dave with force in the head. The woman sought to continue her assault. Dave did not respond with violence. Instead Dave was concerned for everyone’s safety. Dave justifiably took the woman by the arm and put her out of the room. Dave did not assault anyone. He was ordered by his doctor to get CAT scan after the incident. We are waiting on the results. The brand is partnering with Walmart for their relaunch and will now be able to reach a larger audience with their affordable prices. The boutique turned brand has launched a 100-piece private label collection with Walmart where everything is affordable. A graphic t-shirt will run you about $15.00 while the collection tops out at a teddy bear coat running you $65.00. Via press release, Walmart’s Head of Fashion, Denise Incandela, stated, “I’m thrilled to announce we’re helping customers build ‘The Ultimate Closet’ with the exclusive relaunch of Scoop as Walmart’s private brand for fashion-forward customers.” Walmart worked closely with Scoop founder Stefani Greenfield and the collection is forward thinking. There are elements like being animal friendly by incorporating certified vegan leather and faux fur. There are on trend elements like animal print and camouflage and they even knocked off the Jacquemus Le Chiquiti Bag, creating affordable and acccessible fashion. The collection has clothing that will be great to add to your work wardrobe as well as your after 5 wardrobe but the accessories are personally what stood out to me. I attended the launch event for the brand and had the opportunity to see an array of influencers wearing the brand. Unfortunately, there were not any plus size women wearing the clothes, which to me was a major miss. I’d love to see how these clothes look on plus size women, especially since according to Plunkett Research , 68% percent of American women wear a size 14 or above.
