‘Jersey Shore’ Soundtrack Due July 20

By James Montgomery The 2009 cast of “Jersey Shore” Photo: Scott Gries/Picture Group Prepare thine fists for pumping: On July 20, MTV and Universal Republic Records will release ‘Jersey Shore’ Soundtrack, a collection of songs inspired by the tanned-and-terrific hit series. The club-ready first single off the album is “I Like It,” a collaboration between Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull, which will be available on iTunes May 25. Other artists featured on the soundtrack include Lil Jon, LMFAO, Taio Cruz and Akon. It’s the perfect summer playlist, not to mention an excellent accompaniment to any and all G.T.L.-related activities, but if you want even more “Jersey Shore,” a deluxe edition of the soundtrack will also be available, featuring not only the standard album, but a bonus second CD, packed with music inspired by the first season of the “Shore,” including the show’s theme, “Get Crazy,” by LMFAO. “MTV is excited to join forces with Universal Republic Records to bring the ‘Jersey Shore’ Soundtrack to the show’s fans,” Amy Doyle, executive vice president of Music & Talent Programming Strategy, MTV Brands, said in a statement. “From the clubs to the gym, there is going to be a lot of fist pumping and booty shaking going on this summer, and that’s just at my house.” More info on the album (and exclusive promotional contests coming this summer) will be available shortly. The first season of “Jersey Shore” will also be available — completely uncensored, BTW — on DVD, the same day the soundtrack hits stores: July 20. And, of course, the second season of the show , which follows Snooki, the Situation, JWoww, DJ Pauly D and the gang down to Miami’s South Beach before returning to their now-famous house in Seaside Heights, will premiere on Thursday, July 29 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. Jersey Shore Returning to Actual Jersey Shore, Beefing Up Security After South Beach Trip

The cast of MTV’s Jersey Shore has brought its GTL, bed-hopping, first-pumping antics to Miami’s South Beach for Season 2, but that’s just the beginning. Lest you thought Seaside Heights, N.J., was a thing of the past, the gang will be returning to the Garden State – in the very same house – don’t you worry. They just got a jump on Season 2 in Miami because of the weather. “Once the boardwalk heats back up, the series will return to the Jersey Shore to complete the season,” MTV said, noting that the season starts July 29. All the lovable guidos and guidettes will beat up the beat again: Nicole ” Snooki ” Polizzi, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Sammi Giancola, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Vinny Guadagnino. Also returning? Angelina Pivarnick, a.k.a. the random girl who bailed after like one episode, and a.k.a. Kim Kardashian of Staten Island (self-proclaimed). The network is also exploring adding new cast members to the second season or more likely the third season of the surprise reality hit. Filming dates in Seaside are July 1-September 19, so it looks like a third season is in the works. “It’s like a big family reunion this time,” said Tony DiSanto, MTV’s president of programming. “We couldn’t be more excited that the whole group is together in Miami and that they’ll be going back to Jersey when the sun heats up.” Also heating up? Tempers. MTV worries that more peeps will pick fights with Snooki, Ronnie and company just to get on TV (the stars will likely oblige). As they set to get ready to film again in New Jersey this summer, the network has requested additional police presence for the cast. According to the Seaside Heights P.D., MTV has requested between 8-10 off-duty officers – their tab.

‘Jersey Shore’ Is Heading Back To New Jersey!

Season two premieres Thursday, July 29, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. By Eric Ditzian The cast of “Jersey Shore” season one Photo: Scott Gries/Picture Group MTV’s ” Jersey Shore ” kids were dropped into Seaside Heights as a bunch of dance-crazed, sun-craving unknowns, and before you could shout “GTL,” they were reality superstars. Now, Snooki, the Situation and the rest of their tanned and toned crew have escaped the cool Northeast spring and headed down to Miami for season two — but that’s just the beginning. After starting the season in the sizzling Sunshine State, the cast will head back to their original Seaside Heights house for more party-hopping, bass-thumping, emotion-filled escapades. “It’s official, the ‘Jersey Shore’ cast began filming Season 2 in Miami,” said an MTV spokesperson. “Once the boardwalk heats back up, the series will return to the Jersey Shore to complete the season.” The new season is set to premiere Thursday, July 29, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
