HBO has announced that it has picked up Game of Thrones for a seventh season. In related news: the sky is blue, the Pope is Catholic and Prince was an amazing musical talent. The network made this pretty obvious confirmation just days before Game of Thrones Season 6 premieres on Sunday night at 9 p.m. There had never been any doubt that the series would be renewed for a seventh or an eighth season, with showrunner David Benioff recently telling Variety that there may only be “13 episodes” remaining after Season 6 is complete. “We’re heading into the final lap,” Benioff said, acknowledging that the final two seasons may be broken up into six and seven episodes, respectively. HBO did not mention in this announcement just how many installment will comprise Season 7, which will kick off in the spring of 2017. The cable network also announced that Veep and Silicon Valley, both of which premiere this Sunday, have been renewed for next year. As for what fans can expect on Season 6? As usual, everyone involved with the epic drama has remained as tight-lipped as possible regarding upcoming storylines. Moreover, the show has actually now outpaced George R.R. Martin, whose latest novel will NOT be complete by the time new episodes air. So even loyal book fans are in the dark regarding what’s on tap. This much we know, however: Jon Snow is dead… … until he gets brought back to life, that is. Trust us. This is 1,000% happening.

Teresa Giudice returned to prison this weekend. This time, however, she was not forced to wear an orange jumpsuit or walk around in shower slippers. According to People Magazine, Teresa paid a visit to her husband in jail for the very first time on Friday, stopping by Fort Dix in New Jersey. “She was so happy to see him,” the insider tells the magazine. “It was a very emotional visit.” Following Teresa’s stint behind bars (which concluded in late 2015) for her role in multiple financial fraud schemes, Joe stared serving a 41-month prison sentence last month after being convicted of bankruptcy fraud in October 2014. Her visitation approval was complicated/delayed due to the rules of her supervised release. The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member was released from the Federal Correctional Institution on December 23, but was under house arrest until February 5. “Joe is doing well, but really misses Teresa and [his four daughters],” adds the source. A previous report had claimed that Joe actually showed up to jail drunk and faced punishment as soon as his stint got underway. We cannot confirm or deny this rumor, but we can say that Giudice is set to star on another season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Expect her to talk about her missing husband a lot during the new season… and for it to take all of our willpower not to hurl our televisions out the window as a result. We despise these people.
Once Upon a Time went there on Sunday night, folks. Back in September, executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis teased that their ABC series would depict its first-ever same-sex kiss at some point on Once Upon a Time Season 5 , with Horowitz explaining that their goal was for their show to “reflect the world as it is now.” Fast forward a few months to Once Upon a Time Season 5 Episode 18 and Ruby and Mula teaming up to take down the Wicked Witch. After learning that Zelena had placed Dorothy in a sleeping curse, Ruby headed to the Underworld in an attempt to save her. As we’ve seen before on this drama, the only cure for such a curse would be for the subject to be touched by True Love’s Kiss… and Ruby was the one to lay it on Dorothy’s lips in this case. “True Love’s Kiss has been a staple of this show since the beginning,” Horowitz and Kitsis said about the development. “This past Sunday’s episode was just another example of how in a fairy tale, as in life, love is love.” While the smooch is receiving a lot of buzz this morning, the producers have continued to insist that the couple’s love story will be no different from what the series has showcased with Snow White and Prince Charming; or Emma and Hook.
