Dancing with the Stars Recap: The Most Shocking Elimination Ever?!

Dancing with the Stars switched things up for Monday night’s live telecast.  And no, we don’t mean Joe Amabile somehow figured out how to bust a move without tripping over his dance partner a few seconds later.  A third dancer was added into the mix for each performance, and it actually made the performances fun. Some of these performers have barely mastered the art of dancing as part of a duo, so watching them adapt to being part of a trio was rather exciting.  Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke with Melissa Rycroft Cha Cha, “Wavey” by CliQ featuring Alika After their perfect score last week, Juan Pablo and Cheryl were affected big time by the addition of a Melissa. It was clear from the rehearsal that there were going to be some glaring issues heading into the live shows.  It wasn’t as polished as we’ve come to expect, but that’s what happens when you ruin a good thing. Melissa tried her best, but she just got in the way.  Judges’ Score: 24/30 Tinashe and Brandon Armstrong with Amy Purdy Tango, “Hit Me with Your Best Shot” from Rock of Ages Being in the bottom two last week, Tinashe and Brandon knew they had to switch things up to get some of the good old viewer votes before it was too late for them.  Before they really got a chance, they were tasked with working with Amy Purdy. Amy previously appeared in Season 18, and while she was a great dancer, she seemed out of place.  Maybe it was the nerves. Either way, it was a still a decent performance.  Judges’ Score: 26/30 John Schneider and Emma Slater with Joey Fatone Argentine Tango, “Torn” by Nathan Lanier John has been circling the drain for much of the season, so adding a third person into this was either going to make it sink or swim.  Joey was a veteran from Season 4. Yes, that was several years ago, and he was pretty great. However, the overall performance was lacking, and that’s not a good thing.  Judges’ Score: 21/30 Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe with Scarlett Byrne Salsa, “Black Magic” by Little Mix Evanna’s friend, Scarlett, with whom she appeared on the Harry Potter movies stopped by to help out with a robust performance.  Still, this killed the momentum Evanna and Keo have been building for weeks.  Judges’ Score: 24/30 DeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold with Rashad Jennings Paso Doble, “Fire” by Barns Courtney Rashad Jennings is a previous winner, so what could really go wrong with this performance?  A lot, apparently.  DeMarcus struggled because of how hectic things were on the dance floor, and who can blame him? It reflected in the scores.  Judges’ Score: 22/30 Mary Lou Retton and Sasha Farber with Nastia Liukin Charleston, “V.E.S.P.A.” by Dimie Cat Mary Lou struggled to keep up in rehearsals because the Charleston is fast-paced. She was in floods of tears at one point because she thought this would be the week it got too much.  Thankfully, the performance was solid and proved why she was still in the competition. Nastia Liukin actually made this performance a solid one.  Judges’ Score: 26/30 Milo Manheim and Witney Carson with Riker Lynch Salsa, “Adrenalina” by Wisin featuring Jennifer Lopez & Ricky Martin Milo, Witney, and Riker. Could they just become a trio for the rest of the season? I loved EVERYTHING about that show-stopping performance.  Judges’ Score: 29/30 Joe Amabile and Jenna Johnson with Jordan Kimball Salsa, “I’m Too Sexy” by Right Said Fred In a blatant attempt to continue racking up the votes, Jordan Kimball, who recently claimed the woman he met on Bachelor in Paradise was cheating on him, appeared to help Joe.  Yikes.  The performance was embarrassing. Like, poor Jenna was run off her feet trying to show these two turkeys how to make it look like they cared about dancing.  Judges’ Score: 15/30 Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten with Maddie Ziegler Tango, “Move Your Body” by Sia This will go down as one of the most surprising performances in the history of the show. Maddie, of Dance Moms and Sia music video fame, is a solid dancer.  Putting her together with Alan and Alexis was a winning move. Those moves were fast, flawless, and most of all, breathtaking.  Judges’ Score: 25/30 Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess with Lindsey Stirling Cha Cha, “U Can’t Touch This” by MC Hammer Lindsey returned to the floor, and we hate to say it, but she hindered Bobby and Sharna from doing what they do best: Dancing like they don’t care who’s watching.  It was slow, full of the wrong steps, and lacked the charm.  Judges’ Score: 20/30 When all was said and done, Evanna and Keo and Tinashe and Brandon were revealed to be the bottom two.  We wish we were kidding here, but Grocery Store Joe managed to evade the bottom two. It’s becoming increasingly clear that the novelty acts are doing well this season.  In the end, Tinashe and Brandon were sent packing.  What are your thoughts on the latest performances, and results? Former American Idol Star Busted for Heroin Distribution

Antonella Barba was maybe the most controversial contestant in American Idol history. And not much has changed for the former singer many years later. According to TMZ and other outlets, the Season 6 near- finalist was arrested on Thursday morning and charged with a felony. She is being held in jail without bond because she allegedly tried to sell over 100 grams of heroin. Yes, heroin . Not many other details are available at the moment, but Barba is looking at significant jail time if this really is the crime she is accused of committing and if she is found guilty. Here is her mug shot, courtesy of the Norfolk Sheriff’s Department; Despite finishing just outside the Top 12 on Season 6, Barba made numerous headlines in 2007 for a very different kind of scandal in which she found herself. She gained notoriety for posing in a wet t-shirt in the fountain of the World War II Memorial in D.C. — and also for allegedly having photos taken of her while she gave someone oral sex. Barba continued to be voted on to subsequent rounds during her run on Idol, stirring up quite a debate over whether she was earning the favor of viewers for her singing talent… … or for these more lewd and explicit exploits. We’ve blurred out the most private part of this photo, but here’s one of the pictures that got Barba in trouble back in the day: She was also arrested for shoplifting in New York City in 2011. She was charged with two misdemeanors at the time. Still, the following year, Barba appeared on an episode of Fear Factor. She has also acted in a number of short films since… had a small role in 2017’s All About the Money… and, earlier this year, she appeared on a “Where Are They Now?” segment on Jimmy Kimmel Live! No one from Barba’s camp has commented on her arrest just yet. In related news… Fellow American Idol alum Haley Reinhart, – who also appeared on this same Jimmy Kimmel Live! segment- was arrested on one count of battery after getting into a bar fight in Chicago last year. Reinhart was found guilty in February. However, the judge agreed to strike the conviction from her record if she has no run-ins with the law in the next two years. We’ll update this story with more news as it breaks. As far as we know, Barba remains behind bars right now, pending an upcoming hearing. Let’s hope she turns her life around.

Alaskan Bush People: Renewed for Season 9… with a Catch!

A year ago ago at this time, we were unsure if Alaskan Bush People would return for an eighth season. To be frank, we were unsure whether Ami Brown would even be alive right now. The veteran reality star had been diagnosed with stage four lung cancer and her prognosis was grim. But here we are now, and, we’re so very happy to say, here Ami is now: still alive, still kicking, still starring on Alaskan Bush People. The Discovery Channel hit recently wrapped filming on Season 8, which focused on the family moving from Alaska to Washington because Ami had to be closer to doctors who could assist with her pressing medical needs. It hasn’t been an easy adjustment, especially because the Browns can never go back home , but it beats the alternative, right? Again: Ami is alive. And now we’ve received word that the show is as well. Alaskan Bush People is coming back for Season 9. With Ami on the mend, the central storyline will move from her health battle to the struggles of Matt Brown, who announced last month that he is headed for rehab . This is bad news for the family, but actually positive news from the view of Discovery Channel executives. It has given them new content for future episodes. “Everyone is interested to see if he is able to overcome his addiction battle,” an insider tells Radar Online of the reaction to Matt’s admission. Upon confirming he is seeking professional assistance, this is what Brown said to People Magazine: “I struggle with substance abuse, and after a year of ups and downs, I decided to return to treatment. “I’m really grateful for everyone’s support and hope to have my life back on track soon.” Matt is the oldest of all Ami and Billy’s children. Back in 2016, he checked into treatment after being arrested for DUI in Juneau, Alaska. According to Radar Online, he remained on the straight and narrow, fully on the wagon… until last year, when he started drinking again to cope with his his mother’s tragic diagnosis. A terminal illness for a parent is an understandable trigger for anyone that has dependency issues. In an interview with People, Ami touched on Matt having to go to rehab prior to the Season 8 finale being shot and said: “It’s hard not having one of my babies here with us. He was so strong for me, and I want to be strong for him.” We wish him the best. And we’re excited for Season 9! View Slideshow: Alaskan Bush People: 13 Secrets They Don’t Want You to Know

Damon Wayans Chuck The Deuces To ‘Lethal Weapon’ TV Role Because He’s “Too Old” And Sick For The Filming Schedule [Video]

Welp, rough news for fans of Fox’s Lethal Weapon action-comedy series . Damon Wayans has just abruptly announced that he plans on quitting the show at the end of filming this season. The news came as a relative surprise during his recent interview with Eurweb . The comedic actor claimed that as a 58-year-old man suffering from diabetes, the grueling shooting schedule had simply gotten to be too much for him. This is a shock for fans (and it seems, perhaps for the network…), who have already had to adjust to severe shake-ups on the show this year. Wayans’ co-star Clayne Crawford bowed out for season 3, replaced instead by Seann William Scott (“American Pie”). Now, with Wayans making an exit as well, there’s no telling what direction the show will go in. Do you watch? What do you think of this shakeup? Getty/Vimeo

Dancing with the Stars Recap: Who Went Home?

The dancers went from New York City to Las Vegas Tuesday night as Dancing With the Stars turned up the heat and had all of the competitors perform a second routine in one week.  Yes, the stakes were higher than ever before! But who managed to stay in the game, and who was given the boot following another awkward dance?  Let’s break down the performances, and the results, shall we? Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke   Juan and Cheryl danced the Foxtrot to “Why Don’t You Do Right?” by Peggy Lee. It was a sultry performance that continued to keep them in good standing with the judges.  The minor niggle came from Len, and it was all about Juan’s frame, but who the heck cars when you can dance as well as Juan does? Judges’ Score: 26/30 Milo Manheim and Witney Carson “Put on your heels, the sky’s the limit,” said Celine Dion ahead of the duo dancing the Tango to “Ashes.” Milo and Witney took that quite literally because they went all out with their latest number, and the judges were even shocked by it.  Judges’ Score: 26/30 Danelle Umstead and Artem Chigvintsev Danelle and Artem went with the Quickstep to “Luck Be a Lady,” and it highlighted what could go wrong for Danelle.  Her disease rendered her blind, so she was scared of the Quickstep because it was a high energy and high stakes routine.  While the other couples are improving every performance, it seems these two have already peaked.  Judges’ Score: 19/30 Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten Despite being the surprise success of the season, Alexis was blindsided by how demanding this routine actually was, and she left Alan in rehearsals.  Their Tuesday performance that included the Salsa to “Booty” by Jennifer Lopez took a hit as a result, but it was still solid when compared to some of the others.  Judges’ Score: 24/30 John Schneider and Emma Slater John has struggled since the season premiere because he’s rather wooden. His Jive to “King Creole” by Elvis Presley was not all that.  He has a lot of energy but he struggles actually to put that into the performance, and that’s what could ultimately cost him his place in the competition.  Judges’ Score: 20/30 DeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold After building up a lot of momentum with their first two performances, that all slowed down with the Quickstep dance to “Ladies Man” by Boyz II Men.  There was something really off with this performance, and it could be down to the height of DeMarcus. They look mismatched as a result.  Judges’ Score: 23/30 Joe Amabile and Jenna Johnson Joe may be improving, but there’s still a lot wrong with his dance moves. He lacks the skill, and Jenna wants to try and drum into him the fact that they’re skating around the bottom of the leaderboard.  The Jazz to “The Gambler” by Kenny Rogers highlighted the fact that these two might be ready to dance out of the ballroom.  Judges’ Score: 18/30 Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe Evanna and Keo are going from strength-to-strength and their high energy Jive to “Heat Wave” by Martha Reeves & The Vandellas was excellent.  Judges’ Score: 24/30 Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess It turns out, there is such a thing as too much energy in the ballroom! The judges were not all that enthused by the Quickstep Bobby, and Sharna went with to “That Old Black Magic” by Sammy Davis Jr.  Could their exit be on the horizon? Judges’ Score: 19/20 Nancy McKeon and Val Chmerkovskiy Nancy is another middle of the pack performer who seems to have fizzled out early on. Her Paso Doble to “Storm from KA” by Cirque du Soleil was not her best dance yet.  She needs to adapt quickly if she wants to remain in the competition.  Judges’ Score: 20/30 Tinashe and Brandon Armstrong Tinasha has already performed with Britney Spears, so it was unsurprising that she went with “Circus” by the Queen of Pop.  Tinashe and Brandon have the chemistry sorted, so that was a huge positive. They could actually win, you guys! Judges’ Score: 26/30 Mary Lou Retton and Sasha Farber Mary Lou continued to build on her early success with the Samba to “Copacabana” by Barry Manilow. It was a rock-solid performance that proved she was willing to take risks.  The judges were happy with it so that reflected in the scores.  Judges’ Score: 24/30 At the end of the night, it was Danelle and Artem and John and Emma that were in danger. Danelle and Artem were sent packing.  It’s surprising Grocery Store Joe gets to dance again, but he could be leaving in the next week or two.  What are your thoughts on this? Exclusive: Ryan Destiny Talks STAR Season 3, THAT Fight, Diss Tracks & Rumors She’s Rebooting “Bring It On” With Gabby Union

John Lamparski/WireImage Exclusive Ryan Destiny Interview We caught up with super sweet and impossibly gorgeous IT-girl Ryan Destiny who dished on the drama-drenched third season of STAR filled with shocking surprises, wig snatches and hip-moving grooves that you’ve come to expect from the smash FOX series. At this point in her blooming career, Destiny (who plays “Alex”) is a seasoned pro at teasing without dropping spoilers and assured us that Season 3 delivers the messy goods during an easy, breezy interview where she also addressed  THAT fight, diss tracks and the “Bring It On” reboot rumors. Ryan on what we can expect from Season 3: “You can expect to see how the girls are handling their breakup because now the girls are broken up and they’re going through their stages and cycles of figuring out their solo endeavors and what they’re going to do now that they’re separated but still contractually obligated to a group. So, it’s a lot about what they want to do vs. what they need to do and that’s frustrating for them” Ryan on her vicious girl fight with Star in the Season 2 finale:  “It was sweet behind the scenes because I’m not a confrontational person. So, all of it was coming from a place I had to find because I’m an actress. I had to step into the character’s mind and how frustrated she was throughout the past seasons and understand why she felt the way that she did. I definitely had to find some inspiration for that. That was mostly me doing the stunts. I obviously didn’t fall off the stage–that was the stunt double *laughs*. I love that stuff and I want to dive more into doing my own stuff. So, it’s just really fun for me every time I can do something like that, it’s fun” Ryan on what makes a good diss track and her favorite one ever: “With diss tracks, for it to be successful, you gotta come with facts–little things and shots at people the outsiders don’t know about because that’s what usually gets people riled up. I think that’s what gets people really excited about diss tracks. My favorite diss track personally? I don’t know, that’s hard. I feel like old school Rap whenever they would get into beef those are my favorites. My parents would tell me stories and those were the more exciting ones for me vs. the ones like now like Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly and Drake and Meek Mill. Those are just kinda funny to me” Ryan on the pesky Twitter rumors she’s joining Gabrielle Union in a “Bring It On” reboot: *laughs* It just started blowing up on Twitter. Somebody just mentioned the idea and people ran with it and started making up their own little scripts and storylines and then me and Gab both saw it. I think we’re entertaining the idea of it–I don’t think we’re going to go through with the “Bring It On” sequel, personally, I don’t think so. That’s a hard one to do and it’s such a classic and I feel like cheerleading movies kinda died in a sense so it would be pretty hard to bring it back so I’d be nervous about it. I don’t know, if the right script comes along and it’s something we’d both be down for then… it’s all about timing” Oh, and for the few of you who STILL haven’t tuned into STAR, Ryan has a message for you: “If you like drama and if you love music, then you should watch the show. It’s a female-driven cast and I love that aspect of it and the different types of women on the show–there’s so many different people that you can relate to and they’re all very strong so, for that reason, I would watch it personally. So, binge-watch it!” STAR returns to FOX TONIGHT at 9/8c! Feature photo by John Lamparski/WireImage

Rejoice! Black Ink Crew Is Back And So Is The Donna Tattoo Slander

Donna Dragging Commences Season 7 of Black Ink Crew is here and we couldn’t be any happier. The band is back together and this season looks to be as dramatic (and punchy) as ever before. There appear to be some changes afoot as there’s a new shop opening in NOLA, but there’s one constant: the internet returning to clown Donna’s struggle tats. Remember the blackfoot tat from last season? The north remembers. When Ceaser said “…my All Star tattoo artist…” Donna should've known he wasn't talking about her #BlackInkCrew — Highly Favored (@tokingblackgirl) September 20, 2018 Donna was upset that she wasn’t chosen as one of the “best” tattooers on the team, without realizing that she was going to stay back and run the NY shop while the NOLA shop was getting put together. So she got mad for no reason, allowing everyone else to just clown the hell out of her horrible tattooing. Everyone wins!

Mystery Doorbell Ringer Comes Forward, Shares Chilling Survival Story

This woman's terrifying story gripped the nation before anyone knew her name or heard her reveal what had happened to her. America first saw her as a nameless woman who, while wearing restraints and a large tee shirt, rang a neighbor's doorbell late at night. Her name is Lauren, and her story is every bit as chilling as people feared. Lauren is 32 years old. She says that one night, she awoke to her 49-year-old boyfriend, Dennis Ray Collins, kneeling on her chest. He was stuffing some sort of fabric into her mouth. Her feet and ankles were bound by restraints, and she had duct tape on her head. She reveals that, at the time, she fully believed that she was going to die. She says that she tried to cling to hope during the sexual assault that followed. Lauren says: “I just kept repeating in my head ‘God has more for me than this, I’m not gonna die here tonight,'” She had been living with Collins for 4 months at the time of the rape. She says that afterwards, he allowed her to go to the kitchen to get some water — because her throat hurt from screaming. This, she reveals, is when she saw her chance to escape — and took it. We can never imagine how much bravery it took her to make that dash for the door and leave. As natural as the instinct to flee is, there is also a powerful instinct in many people to cooperate with a threat in the hopes of survival. Neither instinct is always right, but Lauren made the right choice. She says that she flagged down a car, asking the driver to help her — but that the driver took one look at her and sped away. It was then that Lauren was famously recorded ringing a doorbell. She rang several doorbells. Lauren explains that she was in fear for her life, but convinced that if someone saw her and made eye contact with her, that she woudl be safe. In the end, Lauren was able to go back for her car to drive away. It was 3 in the morning, and her chances of getting someone to answer the door were slim. Again, we cannot imagine how much courage it took for her to return to the one place where she knew that Collins might be. Lauren drove to safety while the homeowner's whose doorbell caught Lauren on video contacted law enforcement, fearing for this mystery woman's life. It was five days after the video surfaced that Collins committed suicide. In his suicide note, he apologized to Lauren — which, obviously, doesn't mean much, considering what he had done to her — and swears that he had not planned to kill her. “I never would have killed you like you thought,” Collins claimed. “I’m sorry for what I’ve done and I wish I could turn back time.” He died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Lauren is grappling with powerful emotions in the aftermath of this trauma. She even feels a misplaced sense of guilt over Collins' death. But, speaking to Inside Edition, she admits that she believe that he would have taken her life. “I worry if this video didn’t come out,” Lauren admits. “And if he were not gone — then I eventually would be.”

Julie Chen: Will She Leave Big Brother, Too?

At this point, Julie Chen is as synonymous with Big Brother as racism, homophobia and stunning evictions. And yet fans of this long-running reality show are now refreshing their browsers every other minute in order to learn the answer to the following question: Is Chen about to say goodbye as host? Questions about Chen’s future on CBS in general are understandably prominent at the moment, considering she just left The Talk . The veteran panelist did so amidst a sexual misconduct scandal surrounding husband Les Moonves, who just lost his job as CBS President due to allegations that he forced himself upon multiple women a couple decades ago. In a video message that aired on Tuesday’s edition of The Talk ( is that not the dumbest name ever for a program?!? ), Chen told viewers that she simply needs to be around her family as much as possible these days. “Right now, I need to spend more time at home with my husband and young son,” she said rather simply. We wonder if the intense criticism that came Chen’s way last week also played a role in this decision. Upon signing off from Big Brother a few days ago, Chen showed obvious support for Moonves by attaching his last name to hers for the first time ever on air. Social media blew up over this move. Is it shocking that Chen is standing by her man? Not really. But many viewers were still aghast over such a public display because Moonves is accused of some pretty heinous stuff . And he hasn’t exactly denied it, either . View Slideshow: Julie Chen Shows Subtle Support for Husband, Gets Destroyed on Twitter So, this all brings us back to Big Brother. Chen is expected to stay on as host through the Season 20 finale on September 26. According to Us Weekly, no decision has been made beyond this episode, with various network executives thinking it’s best if she just goes away. They figure the less association CBS has overall with Moonves or anyone in his family, the better. If Chen does leave – and this remains a big IF – season 2 winner Dr. Will Kirby would reportedly be under consideration as her replacement. The same can be said, according to this tabloid’s sources, of Celebrity Big Brother runner-up Ross Mathews and Big Brother Canada host Arisa Cox. TMZ, meanwhile, claims that Chen wants to return to Big Brother and that the current plan is for her to do so… … IF Big Brother is renewed, that is. Forget Chen’s future on the show, this website writes . The future of the actual show is in question. So that’s where things stand at the moment. Many unanswered questions are out there. Would YOU want to see Chen return as host? And would YOU want to see Big Brother return for Season 21?
