Billy Gilman became the second country singer today to come out as gay. A few hours after Ty Herndon made this admission to People Magazine, Gilman opened up in a movie video he posted online. Billy Gilman Comes Out as Gay “It’s difficult for me to make this video, not because I’m ashamed of being a gay male artist or a gay artist or a gay person. But it’s pretty silly to know that I’m ashamed of doing this knowing that because I’m in an genre and industry that is ashamed of me for being me,” Gilman says in the above footage. In 2000, at the age of 11, Gilman became the youngest artist to land a Top 40 song on the country music charts with his first single, “One Voice.” His debut album of the same name was certified double platinum in the United States soon afterward. Gilman’s next two albums were also certified gold. “I’ve been an advocate for so many things in my life that I thought why not now be an advocate for me and the cause that I believe in with my whole heart,” Gilman says. 31 Celebrities Who Are Out and Proud 1. Think your family is effed up? On The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 8 , viewers were invited to Friendsgiving. But Caroline’s perfectly-organized dinner was quickly hijacked by a tale about Liv and Luke’s family… which also includes Jo and Kai. Get comfortable, THGers. This episode spewed forth a great deal of mythology and exposition… Jo vaguely recognized Liv as soon as she arrived for Friendsgiving and we later learned why via a series of flashbacks. Let’s hammer them out bullet-point style, shall we? Jo and Kai were twins. They were members of the Gemini Coven, which turned its leadership over to twins once those siblings reached the age of 22. But the family knew Kai was kind of insane, so the parents kept having babies until another set of twins came along: Liv and Luke. Kai finally snapped one day (May 10, 1994 to be exact), killing all his sibling and going after Liv and Luke. But Jo used her magic to make them vanish and then hid her magic in a knife that she buried near her house in Portland. Did we also mention that when the twins turn 22 they actually merge? The strongest twin absorbs the weaker one and THAT witch becomes coven leader. So Jo tricked Kai into thinking she was on board with this plan. The coven gathered around for the merging ceremony, only for them to curse Kai to be stuck inside May 10, 1994 forever. And that’s where we met him on The Vampire Diaries Season 6 earlier this year. Stefan, Alarc and Damon, meanwhile, were in Portland to check out this Gemini Coven. They came across Kai’s father, who overheard Damon saying he knew Kai and cast some sort of spell that made Damon invisible to his brother and best friend. After hearing all about Damon’s adventures in 1994, Papa Parker was afraid Kai would return, kill Jo, take her power and rule the world. So he cast another spell, this one meant to actually kill Jo and prevent Kai from usurping her power. Fortunately, Elena was able to save her mentor with some vampire blood, admitting to Liam that she’s a vampire and then compelling everything away. He’s pretty much gone now. But the family secrets are all about, with Tyler vowing to protect Liv if her coven comes looking for her, since she and Luke don’t exactly want to merge on their upcoming 22nd birthday. Damon, meanwhile, wants to bring Bonnie because he misses her and also because he thinks Bonnie will convince Elena to be with him. So he compelled Alaric to get the Ascendant from Jo (even though Kai being released will place her life in danger) at any cost. Finally, back in 1994, Kai took Bonnie to Portland and realized Jo his her magic in the aforementioned knife. He dug it out. He took its magic. He took some blood from Bonnie and now he thinks he can maybe return to present day. We ended the hour with Bonnie alone in Portland, very afraid. As we all should be. Talk about a busy hour, huh? Tori Spelling has openly admitted that she had to be hospitalized recently, but now she’s delving into the real reason why (or why she claims) she checked in. Was it a nervous breakdown, as widely reported? Yes … and no. During her appearance on Today to promote True Tori Season 2 Episode 5 , she said she believes her illness was just a symptom of a bigger problem. She started off by explaining that she began to get sick after her four children contracted pneumonia, and unfortunately, “it just hit me the hardest,” she said. “At 41,” Tori told Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, “I’m realizing you can repress [emotions] for as long as you want, but they come out in certain ways.” “There are emotional components, always.” The issues aren’t just with her cheating husband, Dean McDermott, with whom Spelling put on a united front despite rumors of their imminent split. Leah Messer’s marriage hit a rough patch recently, and judging from her recent social media posts, she’ll do anything to make it work. Yesterday, Messer took to Facebook to discuss her “struggles” with Jeremy Calvert and offer “marriage tips” to her online fans. She admitted things haven’t been easy, but she seemed convinced that she and Calvert could make it work. Later on Twitter, however, the Teen Mom 2 star came off as decidedly less optimistic: “Everyone keep me in your thoughts and prayers today #nervous,” Messer tweeted, leading some fans to speculate that she was approaching some sort of crossroads in her relationship with Calvert. Unfortunately, it seems that whatever Leah was nervous about did not turn out the way she’d hoped: “Failure does not mean that you’ll never get what you want,” she tweeted today. “Sometimes failure means you have to fight harder for something better.” So did Leah meet up with Jeremy to discuss their relationship, only to realize it’s over? That certainly wouldn’t come as much of a surprise, considering all that they’ve been through. The problems began last month when Calvert accused Messer of cheating on him on Twitter. Messer denied cheating , and the couple seemed to patch things up, but more difficulties quickly arose. Sources say Messer is headed to rehab to receive treatment for a prescription pill addiction. Her habit has reportedly placed further strain on a relationship that was already stretched to the breaking point. If things don’t work out, Messer will be twice-divorced at the age of 22. On last night’s Couples Therapy Season 5 Episode 10, one cast member took a major step forward, while others were stuck in neutral, unsure of the future. With this being the season finale, it marked an obvious turning point for the various couples, and sadly, we already know how it ended up for one of them. Watch Couples Therapy Season 5 Episode 10 Online As we picked up the action on Couples Therapy Season 5 Episode 10 , Dr. Jenn Berman tells Jenna Jameson where her late mom’s grave is located. With boyfriend John Wood, she sets out with Dr. Jenn to finally visit it. For a woman who has been so over the top, outrageous and borderline obnoxious throughout much of the season, it’s striking to see Jenna so … human. She’s not always a reality TV parody of Jenna Jameson. This was the purest emotion you’ll see in the genre, as she spoke directly to her mother. You could almost feel her relief and catharsis when she stopped. Back at the house we see Juan Pablo Galavis and Nikki Ferrell getting cozy and feeling really good about things. Call it the calm before the storm, Part 10. You don’t have to watch Couples Therapy online , or The Bachelor, to know these two were headed for trouble, and if you somehow missed it, well … Spoiler alert, but they broke up in late October. Amazingly, the two actually seemed to be in a better place after their TV therapy than before it, and gushed after filming that the show saved their relationship. So much for that. Juan Pablo and Nikki Ferrell Photos: It’s Over! 1. Juan Pablo and Nikki Ferrell Kiss Juan Pablo Galavis and Nikki Ferrell kiss in a cute photo. Meanwhile, Cicely gets a call from home and breaks some news to Treach that he gets really upset about, and you can see how she fears his hostility. Talking to Dr. Jenn, Treach says he thinks Cicely asked him to move out, and won’t back down from his position of anger even when Cicely denies this. It’s a little bizarre, and Cicely is well aware of it. At the season-ending party, Dr. Jenn tells Treach that video doesn’t really reveal Cicely saying what he thinks she said, and he still won’t back down. Cicely wants to dump him. Dr. Jenn says to wait. In their farewell toasts, each couple says some sweet things to their partners, but Juan Pablo really ups the ante by pulling out a ring box for Nikki! It’s a non-engagement ring, of course, for her middle finger. Wonder if she flushed that thing, Kendra style, before Juan Pablo and Nikki broke up . John, meanwhile, actually does propose to Jenna! She says yes, and the gang agrees that while she has issues, she wants to be loved and happy. As for Treach and Cicely, it was make or break time, and he urges her to stay with an impassioned plea. It looks like it worked, too, at least for now. Couples Therapy Season 5 Cast Photos 1.
